It Finally Happened: Keanu to Play Spike in Cowboy Bebop
Ferret replied to The Damned's topic in General Discussion
You have this weird habit of inferring more than what's actually being said. My comment stands. It's funny how you always seem to be the first to try and call me out on something--like you're not even reading what I say and are just blowing your rage-load the first chance you get. In case you WEREN'T listening (and I know you weren't) I'll say it again. People who treat subtitled works like they're godsent and infallible are fags for the pure reason that they prefer listening to someone jabber in a language they don't understand than in one they do. And you're a fag for getting upset over something that wasn't even directed at you, therefore, derision. -
Funny, when I did the math using the traditional method of /60/60/24 I got...roughly six days before it would be revealed. That's precise enough for me because counting down the seconds is really damn annoying.

I never went into it thinking everyone would like what I wrote (though they certainly did at the time!), but the point I'm making--that I've made before--is that people in this country can be unfairly biased towards subtitles for inexplicable reasons. By the way... You're not in any position to judge, either, so long as you fit squarely into someone else's pocket. -
Jose (screw accents I'm lazy) always looks like he's gonna suddenly transform into Vin Diesel, drop a one-liner, and blow something else. Come to think of it he looks a lot like Vin, too. Oh shi-

This video is, what, from 2007? 2006? Twilight Princess? Hehehehehe...I seriously doubt that there's anything like this in the works... Although we were told, in no uncertain terms, that Twilight Princess would be the last of the "traditional Zelda games", weren't we? The only thing I can guess is a departure from the formula that's worked so long. Like pie. Pie comes in all sorts of different types, but only because every so often, somebody decided to take a risk and deviate from an existing formula, right? Change has the potential to be devastating, or it can be really goddamn good. The only thing to do now is wait and see.

You're one of those fags who only watches shitty subtitled anime, aren't you? -
Aw, poopie

The end moral being never use Babelfish to translate more than a few words because you will get horrible horrible horrible things from it.

To be perfectly fair, though, I don't think there's a real way that a rogue should sound. I mean literally there's all sorts of ways to play one so long as they as a character fit into the role type that you don't need to be applying accents or slang into their speech. It's not always about how you say something as it is what you say and why you say it.

I wouldn't be able to tell you jack about technical stuff like some of the judges would but from where I'm sitting these sound quite good and I'm not sorry I listened to them. No, that wasn't sarcasm! I swear!

I'm the shadow member in everyone's band. That's right. Me.

Tommy Tallarico walked in front of my camera while I was trying to tape some dudes playing a bullet hell game asshole.

Phenomenal work as usual, OA. Good job

I can honestly say I'm impressed with this. What you're doing here is quite different from what I was expecting and that, sir, is a good thing.

I wish I could've hung out more than last year but I actually ended up seeing less of the OCR guys this time around

I wonder...can you save your profile to a memory card? My brother's getting married in May and I don't want my profile to leave with him D:

I'll see everyone today--and I bet that people have already gotten the hotel banned from ETG

I gave the gift of air from my lungs.

Well I don't know. Familiarity and accessibility, those are the two things that will draw gamers to a title. I mean, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Contra? Okay so the first two are both Capcom franchises but you can't deny that people will play sequels even if they're a metric shitload like the previous game in the series.

I seem to recall playing CastleVania on the NES...as well as two of the better titles being GBA exclusives. While we're at it we might as well suggest Arthur from Ghosts'n'Goblins (or if you're a picky bastard, Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts), the dude from Contra, 8-bit Link, and pretty damn much every other popular character to ever appear in a nintendo game. The thing with Smash Brothers is that it isn't really about who would we like to have in the game, it's more about who would be fun to play within the game's limitations and without severely tweaking or disrupting their characterization. You aren't going to just suddenly put someone from an FPS with no melee attacks whatsoever into the game, nor are you going to grab licensed characters that you'd have to spend a good deal of your production budget on in order to use. So while people may want, say, Conker in the game, they won't because he's owned by Rare (and Microsoft wants the guy for their own purposes). Similar with anything owned by Square-Enix. There may be a slew of releases that were exclusive to Nintendo systems but would they be worth having in the game? Is having your Final Fantasy personages really that important? I stress again that the character selection isn't about popularity but about playability. Right now the lineup may mostly be Classic Nintendo but you can't deny that when you get in a four-way match and people are playing to enjoy the game as much as they are to win that the game is FUN.

Where?! I haven't seen this!

To be perfectly fair some of the metroid games are like this, too. I remember the first time I encountered an Alpha and it killed me. That wasn't funny at all.

A lot better? I'm kidding, I'm kidding. You can have my spot.
