  1. Somebody's got a stick up his ass
  2. What's the current submission count? (Time's almost up, guys!)
  3. It's cheaper to buy it, and you don't have to face that whole life sentence thing.
  4. This isn't PPR so don't even start.
  5. You watched Queen of the Damned? Also, I seem to remember that Midnight Run (right around when it was transitioning into becoming Adult Swim) ran Wolf's Rain among other things. I can't really recall just what else they had before Stand Alone Complex came along and completely numbed my brain.
  6. I'm not one to write songfic, but I feel like what I'm listening to right now pretty much describes the relationship between the anime fans that watch Cartoon Network (or used to at this point) and the producers/directors and the general fucktards that run the network. >.> Go look up the lyrics for Forsaken. Yeah, it's by Disturbed with a dash of Korn thrown in, but still seems a bit appropriate here. Anyway, that's my two cents for this post.
  7. I'd like to take a moment to point out that Cartoon Network is and always has been owned by Turner Broadcasting. It doesn't matter what the guys in the Atlanta offices want to do, they only have so much control over what they put on television. If the people in the corporate offices, the big-name people who tell the smaller branches what to do, decide that a programming block isn't worth keeping around, or they want to focus on developing original material that panders down to the micro-brained toddlers we have watching TV anymore, that means the good stuff, the things that are actually enjoyable and funny if not actually mature and engaging, will get canceled or taken off the air... And don't forget that on top of that creators of shows like Samurai Jack always have other things that they'd like to work on and most likely they have contracts which state that they can only have one or two of their works in production at any given time so they're often forced to pick and choose what they work on. Naturally I'm sure they'd love to use all the concepts rattling around in their heads but unfortunately it is usually not to be. EDIT: how the hell did you post before me despite typing more? Also, there's a certain show (Family Guy *cough cough*) which got its start, at least in some form, on What A Cartoon. Good times. *sniff* Good times. *sigh* Long Live Toonami, may your memory remain untainted by whatever may follow.
  8. Mainly due to the fact that almost unequivocally they consist of cousins you never met showing off their kids, your Uncle Francis talking about all the medicines he takes, the one douchebag in-law that really shouldn't be there to begin with and half a dozen teenagers whose names you can't remember.
  9. It's always more fun to play with someone in the same room, four GC controllers and Ike is BANNED from use, getting into a four-way struggle on a really stupidly-created custom stage that ends in tears... I'll take video of my custom stages sometimes to show you the dumb crap I came up with. And while I do like the addition of the ability to create your own battle arenas I feel like it could use a little refinement, such as a slew of more pieces, less gay placement options and the ability to flip certain pieces vertically as well as horizontally. There's so much potential there that was wasted because the development team obviously thought that it was complicated enough as it is.
  10. I don't think it needs to be said that I'm looking for a room, but yes, I am in need of one. As of now I'm still a tentative; things are not looking up and that is pissing me off
  11. Atmuh for the love of god can you make that sig smaller? I can almost use it as an anchor it's so huge.
  12. I'll tell you exactly what's wrong with people. There's six and a half billion of us on this planet, and we all want the same things. Naturally, we get in each other's way and hold each other back by stepping on the heads of the people who can help us get ahead and then stabbing them in the back once we're up there. Generally I think we all have the opinion, deep down, that everyone else sucks and is totally deserving of contempt. Irrational, unfounded contempt, but contempt nonetheless. Just take what happens when you have to share the road. A few other cars, no problem, you're cool. Things pick up a bit, you can maybe see three or four cars immediately ahead of and immediately behind you, you start to get a little irritated. And then as things escalate to actual traffic, whether it's moving at a steady pace or standing still, and you're ready to bite someone's head off. Same thing in the workplace. A few people, a tightly-knit group that meshes well, stuff gets done. A larger group, you might not know everybody as well as you like, a little bit of tension and that one asshole who never seems to do anything all day. Fifty or more people and you're in Office Hell. We don't work well in groups unless someone's blowing our shit up.
  13. Xucked again. Also, I want to make it, but this is wholly dependent on me finding work in the next two weeks and keeping it long enough to have money for such a thing...so put me down as a maybe.
  14. Goddamn how do you have ten thousand posts anyway? Well in any case put me down for a definite yes, though things are prone to change for now I am dead set on being there this year, even if I have to walk and rob a bank along the way <.<
  15. ...isn't everything better than Batman & Robin? Anyway, I got to see it last night and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I missed one or two things for various reasons, mostly bits of dialogue being drowned out by audience reactions (at several key points throughout the film the entire theater was clapping, stupidly). All in all, though, a very good film and definitely one of summer's best.
  16. Oh look, another Gerudo Valley remix...hey wait a second. This was actually very nicely done and while I am a little disappointed that it's Gerudo Valley again, I can set that aside to share some enjoyment of a rather well-constructed rendition of a classic theme. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a ghost to chase...
  17. You know, as much as I'd like to spend three days in downtown Baltimore among thousands of people inside the mazelike confines of Baltimore Convention Center and the surrounding environs, I simply don't have the cash this year. That and I'd decided months in advance that I would not be attending this year, so. *shrugs* if you do go, have fun, if you don't, don't feel like you're missing out on that much of a thing, because in retrospect it just isn't as neat as you think it will be.
  18. Yeah, congrats. Now you get the dubious honor of listening to dozens of underthought mixes and halfassed attempts at making music. Good luck. You're gonna need it.
  19. I'll put this as simply as I possibly can: You're missing half the series, not to mention Megaman Zero series, one of the BEST to come out, in all sorts of categories that Megaman fits into.
  20. I know this is one of the simplest tracks that's ever been requested...but since I really want to save Excitebike for myself at some future date I am going to request Tower of Stars from Chrono Cross. Incredibly minimalistic approaches or full orchestral suite--you be the judge.
