  1. It wasn't mentioned as a PS3 exclusive. There was a little wordplay on Tretton's part; he said it would be playable only on the PS3 when it launches in 2010. It'll probably make its way to 360 and PC eventually, but PS3's going to get the initial release. It looks pretty cool; I'm interested in seeing more of it.
  2. No, not "pretty good." Excepting Mario, Golden Sun, and Metroid, it was a pretty terrible conference. They spent far too much time telling us about things we've already seen; things they announced at LAST year's conference. The Metroid and Mario were fantastic, but it was still a pretty crappy presser.
  3. Prophet go to http://www.swtor.com/ and download the WMV version directly from there. It's the best quality one you can get.
  4. Looked absolutely amazing. No doubt people will whine about plot and cinematics.
  5. Just because it takes place 300 years later doesn't mean you won't see a continuation of the story. Hell, Star Wars: Vector was a storyline that spanned 4000 years. BioWare is really pushing STORY as a major part of The Old Republic, moreso than any other MMO. Plus the entire game is going to be voiced. If you're really interested in KOTOR's storyline, pick up the comic. Sure it's a 4-5 years-before-prequel, but they've been dropping a lot of stuff about Malak and Revan lately.
  6. Finding Nemo is the best. Seriously though, a favorites thread?
  7. Because Natal is not just a WEBCAM which is what the Eyetoy is. It's an entire system consisting of facial/body recognition, voice recognition, and motion-sensing in 3D space. Eyetoy looks at the picture and says "there is an amorphous blob here;" Natal looks at the picture and says "there is a person standing here and he's wearing a 3-piece suit and a duck mask and he's standing about 5 feet away from the TV with his right leg forward and his left leg about 2 feet back and he's also holding a sword. Oh it's MIKE! I'll sign him into his gamer profile." Just for one second look beyond the hardware and try to realize what happens when you put all the pieces together. Whether the software developed for this system will appeal to you or not, there's no denying that the technology in and of itself is brilliant.
  8. Come on guys. Natal is fricking brilliant.

  10. Yeah don't worry about it. My "why is this difficult to understand" was more of a general lamentation than a specific criticism directed at you.
  11. No, it wasn't. In any case, let's avoid having big catch-all E3 threads. If there's something specific out of E3 that catches your eye, feel free to make a thread about it.
  12. Oh, also, while the beginning is very sad, it's also very beautiful and touching.
  13. It's not depressing. It's sad, but it's not depressing.
  14. Threads about video games belong in Community. Furthermore, this has to be the 6th or 7th time I've had to move a video game thread out of Off-Topic into Community. Please put your threads in the proper forums.
  15. Kind of weird seeing a thread about this now. OpenID's been around for ages. Not really trying to say "OMG OLD" here but uh...yeah. :\
  16. Let me address this right away and say that it's a one-month vacation.
  17. Hm. You're probably right; I'm not actually sure. While it's mostly rhetorical, technically it is a question. I'll change it. Also, I'm excited for Team Gato: The Sequel. EDIT: look it up. apparently different types of punctuation are all valid for rhetorical questions. changing it hack.
  18. Wow. Wow. How dare you say something like that. Never mind the rest of your post which is absolutely soaking with bitterness, but to suggest that djpretzel and OCR had a vested interest in bringing down VGMix really takes the fucking cake. When VGMix was around, it complimented OCR so well, and a bunch of OCR STAFF MEMBERS released music there all the time. I was personally very disappointed when VGMix was taken offline. :\ What the hell is wrong with you? You know what? Don't even bother answering.
  19. I like older OCR stuff more than newer OCR stuff. Also, if you want a song that's filled with variety, check out Team Gato, from Chrono Trigger.
  20. SHIBbYinc, if you want to post your original tracks up for feedback, please use the Feedback: Originals/Other section of the forums. And if you're looking to do music for some games to get experience, you'd be better served posting an offer up at some amateur game development forums, not a forum with a lot of musicians looking to get into the field.
  21. I hate when people say Robo's Theme is ripped off of Never Gonna Give You Up. The chords are different and it's only the first few notes that are the same. :\
  22. Closed. I'll be moving this thread out of projects to a forum that auto-prunes in about a week or so.
