Samurai Sentai Shinkenger! Episode 26! The Fated Battle!!!
DarkeSword replied to DarkeSword's topic in General Discussion
Nah. He's a main player, and his "I have to fight ShinkenRed" will continue to be a plot-point throughout the series. He'll probably get some crazy epic storyline down the road. Anyway the 6th ranger has already been teased in magazine scans. -
Yeah, for a movie about giant robots it didn't have nearly enough giant robots. Ruined by the "cater-to-the-mainstream" mentality.

I have been on an odd music kick lately.

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger! Episode 26! The Fated Battle!!!
DarkeSword replied to DarkeSword's topic in General Discussion
Now that we've gotten a two-part serious business story out of the way, we're going to start seeing some more lighter fluff episodes. Next episode also looks like the long overdue ShinkenPink/Mako focus episode. Usually in Sentai, they knock out focus episodes for each character within the first 6-7 weeks. Shinkenger seems to have taken a slightly more unorthodox--albeit organic--approach to character development and lets the story play out a little more. Mako did get a pretty good speech in Act 12 when she talked about what Takeru has to deal with as their "tono-sama." I like how she's becoming more and more the mommy of the group. A lull was inevitable, but it won't last too long. If Shinkenger follows the typical Sentai cycle, we'll see some heavy story episodes coming in around 17-18, with possibly a big game-changing event around 19-20, possibly the introduction of the 6th ranger and maybe some new faces on the villains' side. If waiting every week becomes too much to bear, remember that TVNihon also has past sentai series up for download as well. I highly recommend Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger. It starts off a little slow but turns into an absolutely fantastic martial arts themed sentai with lots of cool fights and kung fu movie references. And if you think Shinkenger's theme song and background music is good, then you'll love Gekiranger's soundtrack. -

Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes killed (C&D story not proven)

I didn't say that S-E would be successful in quashing romhacks, I'm just saying that romhacks don't really need that kind of negative attention from the copyright holders. -

I'd argue against doing anything. Last thing we need is S-E actually coming down on romhacks. -

You can have more than one mix in the queue at a time. You only have to wait about 3 weeks between submissions. -

TRIVIA: The website Chrono Compendium actually got its start as a very large Chrono Trigger discussion thread right here on OCR's forums. -

Absolutely false. Buy FLStudio Fruity edition for $99. This is not the drum machine version, it includes piano roll, and I used this version for years.I bought the Fruity Soundfont Player for $30, but there's a free alternative, so you can use soundfonts.I have quite a number of remixes posted to this site that were made using FLStudio Fruity Edition and freely available soundfonts. If $100 is your absolute cap, you can get by just fine. And even then, why is the ultimate goal in remixing to get a song posted to OCR? If this guy wants to remix, then he wants to remix. Plenty of people make lots of music and don't even care about submitting or the Judges Panel or OCR's standards or anything like that. They just do it for their own sake. Hell, I've got a couple of remixes that I don't plan on ever submitting to OCR. They're for my own enjoyment. Remixing video game music is a hobby; it's not an all-or-nothing field of expertise. Don't discourage someone just because they say they're not going to spend night and day at the DAW cooking up phat beats. -
We used to have a "gear" forum. It never got used. As for mobile stuff, vB doesn't support it natively. You need to find a vB plug-in that'll detect the mobile browser and render the forums based on a different style. A plugin like that exists for vB3.6 or 3.7, but I don't know if one exists for 3.8.

Please. Read the supposed "C&D letter." It's so obviously fake and poorly written. Why the hell would the S-E legal department mention Prophet's Guilde and Temporal Flux without clarifying what those were? Why is Prophet's Guild italicized when Temporal Flux is not? Why isn't this letter signed by legal counsel? Because it's a PDF Zeality cooked up himself. This wasn't killed by SE. It was killed by Zeality who's just attention-whoring. Thread renamed to prevent rumor-mongering. -

Dunno if it trumps everything else, but it was still pretty great. Love the out-of-suit battles. Suit actors? Who needs 'em?! -
He was giving you spoilers. Highlight the big white areas.

This is really vague. What instruments should you emphasize? It depends on the song. What should the structure be? It depends on the song. What instruments do you need? It depends on the song. You should listen to more music and try to emulate it what you hear; think about what role each instrument plays in the overall soundscape. Percussion, bass, mid-range, upper-range. That's how you achieve fullness of sound. There is no such thing as "orchestration tips" that will answer the questions you're asking.

No, you're still wrong, because you said "after SIGN" it turned into a cash cow. SIGN is not the original media. The PS2 games are the original media. The entire pre-R2 storyline revolves around the PS2 series. SIGN is a prequel/tie-in promotional anime. The PS2 games are not adaptations. .hack was developed as a multimedia project from the get-go with the video game series at the very core. The novels, the manga, the anime series, those are all part of the project, but the focus is the original four PS2 games. Nothing is "branching out" or spun-off. All of the non-video-game stuff was designed from the very beginning to enrich the .hack world.
