  1. You know, I ended up serverside muting a couple of guys last night, specifically SpectreShot. I'm not really sure I understand the point of constantly screaming how awesome you are into the mic, or badmouthing your own team, but I'm getting kind of tired of it. Also, to the general server population, don't use the mic to just scream "FUCK!" (or variations of that) really loud when someone kills you or something doesn't go your way. Yes, you're an engineer and your sentry got destroyed. Yes, you're a sniper and yes you got backstabbed. Yes, you're a spy and you got set on fire. Yes, the FaN distrupts your momentum when you're trying to run. Deal with it. If you want to cuss and yell, fine, just do it without pressing your voicechat button. And please, if you're going to set up music for playing over the mic, make sure it's not excessively loud. I generally don't mind too much if someone wants to play some music during setup rounds, but it's really annoying if it's crackling or if it's so loud that people aren't able to continue talking over it. I will say, however, that I'm impressed with some of the players last night. We had a guy playing who sounded kind of young and he seemed new to the game and was asking a lot of questions. Rather than bagging on the kid for being a kid (like a lot of morons like to do), people were helping him out and explaining the game to him. That's the kind of thing I like to see on the server, so thank you to those guys who made playing a pleasant experience for a newbie. __ Anyway, Wes, we didn't end up playing NeoTokyo last night. I'm personally waiting for the linux binaries so that FireSlash can install the server on his box, because I would rather play a new game that seemingly relies a lot on teamwork and communication with people that I'm comfortable playing with and on a server that we have a degree of control over (so that we're able to just explore the game and figure stuff out).
  2. Forget Batman: The Brave and the Bold? Why would you forget that show? It's brilliant and fun. Plus it's got the Blue Beetle!
  3. Curses, foiled! No Linux binaries of NeoTokyo for FireSlash's server! Anyone have a Windows server?
  4. No, you should make plr_well. EDIT: Guys, there's a new HL2/SourceSDK mod out called NeoTokyo, which is kind of like a cyberpunky GitS style FPS. I want to try it out with a couple of OCR folks; Fireslash will be setting up a server for us to play around in tonight, so if anyone else wants to hop-in and try it out, feel free. Just don't be a douche or anything. xD
  5. Andy, while I agree with you on TMNT, that's not entirely indicative of all 80s/90s animation. Look at anything that was on the Disney Afternoon, like Ducktales or Tailspin. I recently sat down at watched Darkwing Duck with my 13 year old brother (I have the entire series on DVD); he'd never seen it before, but he immediately remarked on the fluidity of the animation in comparison to what he's grown up with. Also, even putting my obvious comic-book-nerd-bias aside, nothing really holds a candle to Batman: The Animated Series, and by extension, Superman: The Animated Series. A lot of old stuff doesn't hold up, but a lot of it still does. There was just as much good and bad as there is now.
  6. Are they just going to rename themselves "The CN?" Because that's exactly the kind of crappy network name I see them going towards.
  7. They're trying to compete with Nickelodeon.
  8. Thanks man. As for why episode 19 is taking so long, it seems as though on the Sunday it was supposed to broadcast, Superhero Time was pre-empted by televised golf matches, so it got pushed back a week. Episode 19 should hit soon.
  9. Jin is frustrating as hell to fight with his freezing moves. >:\
  10. I ended up getting the 360 version because I've got more peeps on XBL than PSN, plus I have a fightpad for 360. shariqansari on XBL. Hit me up.
  11. Why have one when you can have both? In other words, knock it off. This is a thread about BlazBlue, which is available for 360 and PS3. If all you're gonna do is complain about the lack of a Wii version and dredge up some crappy gameplay/graphics debate, then please stop posting right now. Anyway, I've read that BlazBlue is beginner friendly. I wouldn't worry about it being too complicated to get into.
  12. http://www.blazblue.com/ It's new fighting game by ARC System Works, the makers of Guilty Gear and Battle Fantasia. I can't decide whether I should get the PS3 version or the 360 version. What is everyone else getting? I want to maximize the number of people I can play with online.
  13. What is that? I don't think I've ever done a piece called that.\ EDIT: That's not mine, that's Mazedude's.
  14. Alright, we can do without taking potshots at other remix sites. > Yeah. No rating systems. EVAR.
  15. Other joojes have said what I wanted to say better than I could have said it, so I'll just say this: I think this is very imaginative and I really like your approach. I think that it could do with a little filling out in the mid- and bass-sections, and things get messy around the end. I'd like to see this song on OCR, but it needs fixin'. NO
  16. Personally I think a lot of it really pushes the boundary between original and arrangement (to its detriment), but in the end it does sound like a Lava Reef arrangement, and it is well performed, so YES. I would have preferred if you'd stuck a little closer to the chords of the original though, but I'm not really one to complain as far as this source is concerned.
  17. Actually I do EQ a little. Your EQ just made things like the harp sound muffled, which is why I told you to revert it.
  18. kate the great more like kate's so great am i rite? AM I RITE? LOLOLOL Seriously though, this is pretty awesome. I dig the harmonies.
