  1. I'm working on a remix of Midna's Desperation. No promises as to when it'll be done, though.
  2. Fanatism isn't a word. The word you're looking for is fanaticism. Just FYI.
  3. XM has commercials on something like 3 or 4 music channels because Clear Channel (the shitty normal radio company) happens to control them, and so they're "entitled" to broadcast advertisements on those channels. Nobody really listens to those "CM" channels anyway.
  4. That feature is specific to your player hardware. Not all tuners do that, and some XM players have that feature too, I think. In any case, I have XM in my car and it's jawesome.
  5. We went to school together? When was this an who are you?
  6. I'm talking about the game actually being revealed, as opposed to Capcom just saying "HERE IS LOGO ROFL"
  7. Capcom's next game in the ZX series of Megaman games is finally revealed. Scan 1 Scan 2 Info about characters from Atomic Fire Looks like this time around, the main template for the Live Metal/Biometal is based on Axl, from MMX7 and MMX8, though that's not confirmed. I hope it's either as awesome more more awesome than ZX, which was pretty awesome.
  8. Moves uses port 6789.
  9. If a 3 or 4 threatens the king on the first move, all you have to do is move IN with your king. Now your king is safe. You can't kill on the first move.
  10. Me too, but for different reasons. When someone says "Why don't you just do it yourself?" it makes it sound like arranging and producing a piece of music is something that anyone can do with enough effort. I don't think that's the case at all. Some people are just not good at music, and no amount of effort will help them make something truly remarkable. Such is the case for any artform.
  11. http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01374/
  12. I can teach you how to play. Hit me up on IRC or something.
  13. I guess I'm in.
  14. All that stuff you hear from other games is imaginative listening on your part. None of it is intentional, aside from the Brinstar part, which is in Metroid Prime 2. It's not the first time people have heard things in my pieces that weren't there. Don't try to find subtleties in my arrangements like that; I rarely do anything on that level.
  15. Oh come on! Phoenix Wright is a great game!
  16. Though I am loath to make such statements, it seems as though this one is the most appropriate, after reading aarowswift's reply: THREAD OVER
  17. Actually, I didn't enter that contest. I didn't finish my song in time; the song was finished much later (weeks/months later). It's not an IMC song.
  18. What I don't understand is, Martin isn't finished writing the series, so how are they going to continue with the story? Are they just going up to A Feast for Crows and waiting? OR ARE WE GOING TO GET NARUTO STYLE FILLERS? D: QUICK JON SNOW, EAT THIS CURRY OF LIFE
  19. Zork didn't have graphics. It was all presented through text. As such, it wasn't really a video game. It was a computer game though/ And NetHack does have good graphics. It uses ASCII characters well enough to present everything, and it all works in the context of the game.
  20. Graphics are really important. They're called video games for a reason. Bad graphics (art direction, technical implementation, etc.) can really ruin the experience a game delivers.
  21. I've always gone through the normal judging process, except for one mix I submitted to djp over IRC (he needed something to post and it ended up being DP-worthy anyway). When you're a judge, the only real privilege as far as circumventing the process you get is that you're allowed to post a song directly to the panel without emailing your submission to djp's inbox. The downside is that it's not eligible for DP that way; you go straight to getting your mixes judged by your peers. I always just submitted my mixes normally, via email.
  22. Spambot prevention wasn't the reason for the switch. Features like User CP, custom user fields, sub-forums, and other stuff that phpBB didn't have are the reason that OCR switched forum software. Spambot prevention was a nice bonus, but it wasn't the reason the switch was made.
  23. Actually, I have. Something like this happened a few months ago. It was part of some fraternity initiation; they made this guy drink tons and tons of water to see how much he could drink, and he ended up dying.
  24. Seen this kind of thing happen before. Hopefully people will learn something about the dangers of overconsumption.
  25. Please explain why you shouldn't have to register and log in to view PPR.
