While we don't have a way of just linking this in IPS yet, you can find remixes with the least amount of reviews by going to the forum and selecting the following options from the sort bar. Once we update the forums to IPS4, we'll be able to implement some custom activity streams where the least reviewed tracks will be available through a handy link.

Genuinely curious, because I have not seen this argument anywhere else: why do you think Jessica's treatment in the story is sexist?

Mega Man X: The Sigma Fortress Remix Gauntlet 2015
DarkeSword replied to DarkeSword's topic in Competitions
Obviously any best-of album release would require full permission and sign-off from every artist involved. I highly encourage artists to revisit and revise tracks for an eventual compilation. There is also no rush to get a best-of out, so you can always wait until the tracks are up to your standards to put it on the album. -

I was wondering about this game, actually! I'm not that much of an AC fan, but I am an Amiibo fan. Hm.

This thread is for actually posting deals that people can take advantage of, not for just saying "hey i bought at thing."
-
Really nice. Post your art in a new thread, not the rules thread. Post has been split.

Are you using the What's New tab? http://ocremix.org/community/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=forums Set your options to "Items I Participated In" or "Just Items I Follow." This is almost exactly what the old User CP used to provide in terms of keeping up with threads. I used the User CP a lot too. The newest version of IPS that we're updating to will feature this heavily; they're going to be called Activity Streams and you'll be able to make and save your own.

I think one problem, and this might be addressed in V6, I don't know, is that right now if you go to a mixpost, you download the song or listen on YouTube on the mixpost page. Then if you want to leave a review, you have to click on the review link. Then you have to be logged into the forum. What if you're not registered? Well then now you have to register for the forum and create an account. But after that, you have to wait until your forum account is manually activated. At this point, you don't really care about leaving a review anymore. Commenting on remixes on the mixpost page just needs to be easier. There are too many clicks, even if you already have an active forum account. You should be able to just hit play and write a review all on the same page. This is why people comment on YouTube videos. They don't have to jump through hoops to leave their 2 cents. These things might be taken care of with IPS4 and V6; IPS has a commenting system that could be used on mixpost pages (maybe, I don't know, I don't really know IPS's system that well yet). I know we talked about Disqus in the past too, but I also know that it's preferable to keep everything under one software umbrella (in this case, IPS). Regardless, I think the gating that's happening when trying to leave a review needs to be addressed.

OverClocked ReMix Design ?'s and Issues

Sig size is softly enforced. If I see a sig with images that are stacked too tall, I'll notify the user. -
Interesting thing about Dancing All Night is that while it's a rhythm game, it's also a canonical story sequel to the P4 series of games.
-
Yeah it's chronological. They all technically take place in the same world with a shared mythology. Persona 4 Arena, which is a canonical story sequel to Persona 4, overtly crosses the game over with Persona 3, with a lot of the cast of P3 showing up and figuring prominently into the storyline. HOWEVER, you don't need to play P3 to understand anything in P4. The main numbered RPGs are basically stand-alone (I haven't played P1 or P2, so I'm not 100% sure). They have different casts, take place in different parts of Japan, and are essentially independent of each other. The references to other games are mostly cameos or fan-servicey mentions of events or locations from previous games. When P5 comes out next year, you can just play that game without ever having played another Persona game. You won't be lost or missing anything.

Yeah I gotta agree on spoilers guys. I know the games have been around but let's keep in mind that this is still a pretty niche series. I will agree on the subject of boss battles in Persona 4. I found some bosses to be overwhelmingly hard at first, even after looking at guides. A lot of times you do exactly what you're supposed to do in terms of strategy and it still takes a long time to kill a boss because they just have so much HP. There were a few times where I got pretty frustrated with some of the boss battles and I ended up spending some time grinding hard to make my skills stronger. Interestingly enough, the final boss turned out to be a piece of cake for me. I ended up using a strategy that wasn't in any guides or FAQs that I looked up either. It was pretty satisfying.

What do you guys think of Heavensward? -
Yeah I think that a huge part of the identity of Persona nowadays is the musical aesthetic Shoji Meguro established. Atsushi Kitajoh also adheres to this aesthetic with the Persona Q soundtrack. The battle themes in Q are awesome.

I also want to thank everyone for participating, and—more importantly—I want to thank everyone for making this a drama-free compo. Usually there's at least one instance of someone being a total poop, whining about how people are voting or complaining about other teams'/artists' music. This time around, we had none of that. Everyone was a good sport and supportive of each other. I'm glad that people had fun and were able to learn things and grow as artists. Also, just to reiterate something I said a few weeks ago: if you're planning on submitting tracks you made for the SFRG to OCR, please include a source breakdown for the judges' benefit. I'd also like to suggest someone (not me) maybe organize an album project using select tracks from this competition. There's a lot of insanely good music that came out of the SFRG, and I think that a pretty good package could be put together and dropped as a proper album (as opposed to the standard archival release I put out of compos). Give artists maybe a week or two to make any necessary revisions, gather updated and remastered WAVs, etc. I can put together some album art too, and we can drop this as an OCRI release. -
A year or two ago I played Persona 4 Golden on my Vita and I absolutely fell in love with it. The characters, the story, like aesthetics, the music, and the game mechanics all come together in a really awesome package. Since then I've been a fan of the series, dabbling in some of the other games. I've started in on P3P for PSP and also Persona Q for 3DS. I also really like the Persona 4 Arena games for PS3 (I've done two remixes already!) and really like the visual-novel-story-mode that both the first one and Ultimax have. Persona 5 is also coming out next year and that game looks pretty wild. I can't wait. Is anyone else a fan of these games?

Who all is playing Heavensward? I'm having a lot of fun with the expansion. The story line is a lot more improved over ARR (though I liked ARR's storyline too). Really enjoying the new areas and the soundtrack. Also love how they implemented the gating for flying with the aether currents. I've got a tiny Free Company on Diabolos called Rust and Ruin. It's not an official "OC ReMix" free company, but I am looking for some people to join in on the fun. It's not a big super serious raiding-3-nights-a-week FC; more of a casual lets-run-some-dungeons-and-trials kind of thing. If you're looking for some casual play, let me know. -

Chrono Trigger & Chrono Cross Arranged Album coming October 14
DarkeSword replied to zamuz's topic in General Discussion
No, because that's official promotion, so it's okay to post. It's just rips of the album that aren't allowed, i.e. someone throwing MP3s or FLACs of the album for download. -
