  1. I have some of my mixes as well as some of analoq's(though most of them are at ocr now). Also I have some classic smack and others. I'll upload when I get them at home. EDIT: I bet Kyle still has some of these too, and maybe Crimsonzeal. EDIT 2: And that list is missing the Mk64 competition, the Rainbow Road theme.
  2. There should be a sticky in big fucking bold font that says NO MORE PROJECTS OK GTFO
  3. I have a christmas styled mix in the works, but it's a remix, if you want it I could finish it for the project.
  4. I like this. It's very dancy. Your stuff might not be the most technically impressive but they always have groove and are fun. Though, I agree with everybody here, finish the windmill remix, for great justice.
  5. I'm actually expecting them to leave the same amount of chars but to get rid of the clones, that sounds like the wisest decision since they don't have much time to make so many new characters(with all the programming, modeling, animation, and balancing that it requires). Though, 4 or 8 more chars wouldn't hurt. I still have my hopes up for a bigger cast but I'm not expecting that too much.
  6. I do too. I mean, when are we going to get rid of the fucking annoying load times if shitheads like this guys never do something about it? I've read of X360 games actually loading faster and working smoother than the ps3 counterpart, what the hell? I thought this generation load times could get lessened because the companies would include faster and more efficient reading devices. Alas, we are getting worse loads than in our old ps2's. This makes me sad. Unfortunately for your argument, Blu-ray actually has a much higher read speed than DVD, so a 4x BD drive is far greater than a 2x DVD player. Look it up on Wikipedia if you want (I'm too lazy), or just trust me. Still, even if it is faster the load times are going to be pretty high. Ps3 = Blu-Ray Drive 2x xbox360 = 12x dvd drive Blu-Ray Transfer speed = 36 Mbps DVD Transfer speed = 10 Mps Total: ps3's BR = 72 Mbps xbox 360 DVD = 120 Mbps Sorry, I was focused on the lines in bold, which should only be true if developers are lazy with their coding. If the PS2 had a 2x DVD drive, then it would have a transfer speed of 20Mbps, which is less than 1/3 that of the PS3: 2x BD = 7x DVD. Yes, but you have to take in consideration that now they have to load graphics, textures and information 3 and 4 times the size the resolution of ps2 graphics. So what you have there is a bottleneck, and no advance in speed whatsoever. Just check the load times in say, call of duty 3. About the same as in CoD3 for Ps2. Even when loaded on the HD? Lol I've read your point about the HD. However, do all the ps3 games load to the HD? the COD3 i saw I couldn't tell if it was loaded in the HD, but the load times were like current ps2 games. Is this something Owners activate or is it up to the programmers? Anyways, I haven't seen yet a game making use of it, as far as I can tell.

  10. I have a question to HDTV owners and techy fans around here. If I get a let's say 25" widescreen monitor with dvi input(or maybe HDMI too), can I in some way connect a ps3/x360 to it and get the HD output? does it looks as good as in a HDTV?
  11. I just noticed that, it seems like it runs at 60 fps, and it looks so darn good. I hope they can keep this framerate steady for the final release.
  12. hope this is the definitive deadline date Mr Kyle. Good luck, and I hope we can see this project released ASAP! It will totally rock
  13. My setup is very modest really: Computer: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ 1gb DDR RAM 1 IDE 80 GB Hard Dsik 1 SATA 80 GB Hard Dsik Cheap ass integrated soundcard ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Software: Reason 3 Recycle 2.1 Fruityloops 5(for midi sequencing) A huge load of one-shot drum samples, and a few instruments soundfonts(around 20-40 gb) My ever growing collection of self-made synth presets. Hardware: Sennheiser HD-280 Closed headphones Logitech X-530 5.1 Sound system. Old ass non-midi Yamaha Keyboard. That's pretty much it. I will be upgrading my PC this month(Athlon 64 3800+, 2gb DDR RAM, ATI Radeon x850 XT) because frankly I'm quite limited with this computer setup.
  14. I just got this game last week and spend the weekend playing it. I must say that I feel the same way, this game feels like a weird mix of Old-school Final Fantasy(specially VI), Final Fantasy Tactics and Star Wars. While playing it I'm always getting the feeling that I'm in a star wars universe for some strange reason, while having strange flashbacks to FFVI. o_0. It could be just me though, I'm NutS after all.(BTW, I'm completely loving this game.)
  15. Nope, won't work. The song fucks up big time when you try to automate the tempo, at least rewiring through FL and cubase, haven't tried with sonar or other software though.
  16. I did mines of narshe once. In fact it was the first mix I submitted... 3 or 4 years ago.
  17. For those interested, I posted a new version (same link). It's mostly the same arrangement(still no effects and transitional goodies) but I changed the mastering and it sounds much better now. A new version with more actual arrangement will come soon. also, bump.
  18. I totally agree. I don't use drum loops, it feels like cheating to me. Whats the fun in making music if you just slap a drumloop there? I do use them sometimes as filler material but my main drums are always sequenced. For those that like to slice drumloops I'll be releasing a refill soon with drumloops on it, sequenced by yours truly. Also with lots of combi and synth presets for subtractor and malstrom, there are tons of it because I just love to make my own stuff and I always preset it for later use.
  19. my stuff is all software too baby! though it's not that great Midi controllers... I wish I had one. They are really helpful, I have an old yamaha keyboard (has no midi output) and I can come up with lots of nice stuff on it that I can't by clicking with a mouse on Reason's sequencer. Besides, its just much more fun. If you're starting and you have the possibilities to acquire a midi keyboard and a software such as fruity loops, reason or cubase, don't hesitate and do it!
  20. I really hope they include tempo automation in the next version. This has been a main issue for reason since ever and seems like the engine it's based on does not permit this, or ANY KIND or tempo-related automation(switch the delay time in a delay machine while the song is playing to see what I mean). It seems like with the current engine it's not possible and they will have to make an overhaul of the system to allow for that. I really hope reason 3.1 or whatever comes next brings a new engine that allows this, because really, most music programs, even the lamer and simplest allow this feature.
  21. Still doesn't takes away the fact that they're trying to fuck you up with overpriced stuff. Overpriced? Are we still talking about Mario64 DS? Its ONE game. Now look at Sony. $50 PSP games compared to $35 DS games, $700 PS3 compared to $250 Wii, $60 PS3 games compared to $50 Wii games. Who is fucking people up with overpriced stuff, yet still FAILING to make a profit? If you go back to the beginning of the discussion you will see that the topic was VC games. The port thingy came later, and it's not what I was referring to. EDIT: Also lol @ people calling doom on sony/nintendo this generation. Both are taking a big risk with their consoles, and both will do well. But for stupid fanboys I guess that's kinda hard to realize.

  23. I'm with evilhead on this one, most of youkai's arguments are pretty dumb. I really can't see why some ninty fanboys can attack sony's decision of giving ps1 games for cheap and allowing the players to play them on psp and ps3, even more if they're way cheaper than what nintendo is offering on the virtual console which is btw, pretty expensive for just the damn software. What's sony's crime here this time? EDIT: and if the point of all this is giving evilhead a lesson, it makes it even more dumb and pointless. But on the other side, it makes it more funny.
