I'm pretty sure "3 evolutions" refers to 3 bulletpoint innovative 'features' they talk about in the original Japanese article. Not sure of the specifics. If it turns out to be another evolution step, I think it's a bad idea. More BRANCH evolutions (a la Politoed) plz!

I think it would've been pretty cool if they had spiced up the battle scene with a little background. A city skyline in the background is a slight improvement over a blur but they could've done a bit better. ] (fan-made pokemon in last pic) I know it doesn't really play into gameplay if there's a pretty background but why are the pokemon still fighting on a weird disc?

I dunno. Maybe I'm alone here but I never did get into the whole Pokeblock or Poffin-making aspect of the games. The contests never interested me and I didn't like how Pokeblocks and Poffins permanently affect your Pokemon. So if you max out it's contest stats, that's it, no going back.

I was actually expecting the battle scene to have that kind of a 3D depth. At this point, I think it'll be a '3D' camera spin to start the battle w/ rotating sprites like Golden Sun (w/ similar idle/attack animations?).

I've always liked how they've chosen to gradually change the graphics. Though the batle scene looks barren still, but at least we get to see the entire pokemon. I really like the human sprites this time around, er, except for what looks like the male trainer... he looks like crap.

Those 'starters' look a bit fake... But I really like the peacock ones. Nice names. And I would want the third version to be Clear.

Level 99, I love the radio stations in the GTA games too! Hell of a stroke of genius when they thought of that. I like how in San Andreas the radio system uses a playlist format, so you can hear different ads and station IDs between the songs
