!!! you're like, one of three people who still have that. I've been meaning to remaster it, but I think I screwed up the original file pretty badly D= . as for this song, it'll be reposted in a week or two, I've been tweaking it a lil' more. and yea, I'm from Toronto (or at least the GTA anyways).

Interesting. What you have going is rather nice. I would assume you're going to add more then just piano and drums though as the song progresses. Pads, bass, pady bassy synths, etc. In my opinion however, the obvious usage of dblue's plugin is a turn-off. It urks me when I hear the same basic dblue pattern of like, tapestop, retrigger, reverse, gate. Now while I'm not saying you can't use it at all, what I am saying is that you should tweak the fuck out of it so it doesn't sound like you're using it. Avoid the dead giveaways like tapestop and the modulation effects. Keep going, add more, I'll keep an eye on this.

I'm sure all.....one of you might remember a while back I released an electro-industrial song called 'The Important part of the Computer'. There was a comment I remembered saying that the kick drum was really weak (or something along those lines, sadly I can't recall who mentioned it.) So I decided to use my new found knowledge to remaster the track. Comments on the eq would be nice. Click Me Note: the server is a little wonky, so if you can't get it on first click, try again in a couple of minutes.

There's more to mixing/mastering then that? Maybe limiter/compressors...

mmm there's a lot of good and not so good in this. the intro is rather minimal for something that's 44sec. after 44sec, it soundscape is rather nice even though you're repeating the same melody again. the melody itself is I think a direct copy of the original, so you would probably benefit from changing it up a lil'. once the plucking melody goes away and is replaced with the chime sound, it's sooo far in the background it's barely audible. your addition at 1:30 is nice. I feel there's a real lack of being adventurous in this. You try and play it rather safe, like entering a party with a room full of people and just staying quiet the entire time. There's a lot of places you could go with what you have (like adding a lil' breakdown, etc.) So while what you have is quite nice, I don't see this making it on ocr. More playing needs to be had.
