I just want to say that this is a really, really bad idea. also reading how it's difficult to start anything in FL and how you don't like using it shows your impatience. Granted FL really isn't the right DAW for you, but it should take a little more then a couple of hours before you make your decision. You're not gonna make something the minute you get a DAW, you're probably not gonna make something even after you figure out the program, and I only say a live techno/orchestra/rock type thing is a bad idea because when new people who have no idea what they're doing try and do too much, it usually leads to much. Patience and dedication, and listening to Yoozer is the best thing you can do right now.

from watching the video, there isn't anything really standing out as being terrible. but I have seen alone in the dark. and I'm aware of what Boll has done. I'm just not jumping to conclusions as of yet.

Right click tempo > create automation clip > in playlist, a new automation clip should appear, edit that to automate tempo or Right click tempo > edit events > draw in how you want the tempo automate, and then click the pattern you're automating the tempo on onto the playlist.
