  1. I don't know about a video, but some sort of tribute definitely seems in order.
  2. I'm working on a Carol of the Bells mix.
  3. Wait wait wait. Are you honestly suggesting that Timbaland (producer of this track) uses an unlicensed sample in "Do It?"
  4. Holy shit yes. PSI Hotsex as a final smash would fucking rule.
  5. Just got to the hundred coin challenge on the ghost house galaxy. You have got to be fucking kidding me. One minute! I have yet to get even half of them in a minute.
  6. Typing as I watch Are you Link or Fox? I'm mainly going to focus on Fox here, since I play Fox a lot more than I play Link. For starters, USE SHINE! It comes out in one frame (ie 1/60 of a second), and can be cancelled just as quickly by jumping. It's the fastest attack in the game, and great when your opponent is right on top of you (as Link is quite often in this match). Fox also depends heavily on the dash attack, which is probably his single most easily-punishable attack. When rushing in, it's generally better to cancel your run by crouching, then pull out a tilt, a smash, or a shine. Link: this is a minor thing, but try using Up-B on the ground as a ledge-guarding move; hit fox with that, and he's pretty much fucked, even at very low damage. Another thing -- and this is something it seems both players could work on -- is following up on your attacks. That is, after you nail your opponent, don't sit back and wait for them to collect themselves and attack again -- chase them down, and keep comboing them as far as you can. Fox's play seems to pick up as the match continues, though he still doesn't cancel his shines, and depends too much on roll dodging to get around. Some characters can be played pretty well without wavedashing, but for fox to be anywhere near the top of his game, the player needs to be able to wavedash; it provides much greater meneuverability, improved speed, and best of all, much less predictability. Another thing for the fox player to work on is short-hopping his aerials; there are a number of instances where fox does a full jump at close range to come down with an aerial; this is much slower and thus much easier to counter than a short-hopped aerial. Of course, short-hopping is significantly harder with Fox than with many other characters, so it will take some time to master.
  7. Are these videos hosted anywhere else: they keep getting stuck for me.
  8. You seem to be under the assumption that the reason we're all so excited about brawl is that we "don't get it," or "don't see it." We get it. It's not xbox live. We can't use it to question the sexuality of random people while we play them. We still think it's gonna be an awesome game. Do you understand this, or is it completely beyond your comprehension that there's more to gaming than being able to question the sexuality of random nobodies while they massacre and/or teabag you?
  9. Finally got it, just started it. I am having so much fun with the physics of this game.
  10. That's because it's wrong to profit from unlicensed arrangements. Oh, wait... Well, at least "More than Mario" gave credit where credit was due; this guy certainly made no attempt to do any such thing. Seems unlikely we'll get any followup news from the label about this guy, but it would be nice if we could find out exactly what ends up happenning to him.
  11. Ok, whether or not I bring my electric guitar gear depends on how I end up getting there; if I go to the NYC Meetup and FAGfest and then go from there straight to MAGfest, I probably won't be able to bring anything. If I skip the NYC Meetup and FAGfest, I'll bring every ounce of guitar gear I own.
  12. These are both pretty sweet. I'll definitely be picking up the final album when it's done.
  13. This mix is pure awesome. Definitely going on my favorites list.
  14. Actually, move me to the "maybe" list.
  15. SUPER MARIO GALAXYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY This needs to become a meme.
  16. Shael, will Devon be there as well?
  17. ROFL Song stopped loading for me around 2 minutes, and I assumed the rest of the song would be more of the same. EDIT: Ok, now that I've heard the whole thing, I definitely just got pwnt. Definitely Schala's theme there.
  18. I'm debating whether or not to bring some electric guitar gear. If I DO bring it, here's what I'll have: -Carvin Bolt -Seymore Duncan Tweak Fuzz -Analogman Modded TS9 -Josh-oo-wah pedal -Kendrick 2210 combo amp I don't want anybody using these when I'm not around to keep an eye on them.
  19. Bring your accordion.
  20. If recording will be an option, it would be sweet to do a live remix and submit it to OCR. The question is what to mix?
  21. A Josh-oo-wah -- it's a prototype wah designed and built by my cousin.
