Wow. I agree with your second paragraph though. I'd say the worst purchase I've made in the past five years is Sonic Heroes. It was only 20 bucks when I bought it, but I found out why pretty fast. Haven't bought anything bad on the Wii yet, but I'm considering buying a crappy fishing game once the prices come down a little more.

EA want to be the only people making sports titles. EA doesn't like that about Take 2, because that "costs" them millions in profits. EA also has bought other companies and whittled down their quality. EA is evil and sucks donkey dick.

Great track. I'm still confused as to how it beat Virt's Splatterhouse rendition on DoD, but it's an awesome tribute to an awesome track. The guitar tone is perfect for the song, and there's some sweet soloing. The choice of keyboard/synths or whatever the hell was used brings the happy nostalgic feeling of the source tune. The only problem I have is that there are a few notes out of scale, mostly on the fast guitar runs. Most people won't even notice this.

There will always be games that use lots of buttons and games that use just a few buttons. That is, until games stop involving buttons altogether. That's what I think.

Mostly bullcrap. It probably helps with rhythm and timing, but the two shouldn't be compared. I might gain a little respect for cooking by playing cooking mama, but it ain't gonna make me a chef. Wii sports isn't going to make me into an expert bowler. In fact, I kick ass at Wii bowling but put me out on the lanes and I'll jump up and down just for rolling 140. Edit: Excludes drums on Rock Band.

EA's attempt to acquire Take Two wasn't that "nice". They started a website as to "why take two is wrong for not taking the money". They also did this right after GTA 4's near-completion, since it's stock is rising every day now. Very opportunistic. Take Two also claims that the offering price was understating their actual worth. I kinda believe it too.

Well, for you, that's fine. It's your decision as to whether or not you support EA. But I won't. Full-on boycott for me. But what about those people who are not only sports games, but to the games of companies who are taken over by EA and lowered in quality and potential. I personally think that most of EA's employees are good people, and some of their games I've seen lately seem to have a bit of innovation, but the negatives still outweigh the positives. I don't like it when companies put being #1 as their highest priority then use unfair, aggressive, opportunistic takeovers against little guys. I can understand some of these actions for smaller, struggling companies, but EA (or the big boys who are in charge) are big bullies taking lunch money from the frail, nerdier students. You are free to like them, and I don't think any lesser of any of you for that.

I really do think that EA is the Wal-Mart of the games industry. I'm serious. I could draw all kinds of parallels. "We believe EA's unsolicited offer is highly opportunistic and is attempting to take advantage of our upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto IV, one of the most valuable and durable franchises in the industry" Yes, I think so too. Yeah, that's about right. To me, the intentions behind it don't matter. But, I'm not in a tizzy over it. It's way over the top lyrically, and it doesn't match the guidelines, but hey, I like it. I was lucky enough to click on this thread and find it. There are other ways to spread the music, and if OCR doesn't want it, that's fine. That's the judges business. Just giving my less than humble opinion. Peace.

The only thing cooler than Kart and Brawl coming out at the same time would be a lifelike HD remake of the original Mega Man trilogy, and that just ain't gonna happen. I'm actually kinda happy for Europe getting this earlier. They've been screwed with Brawl, so it's a nice make-up gift.

Well, I guess they're all good in a different way. Okay, I'll admit the track design was kinda hit and miss in DD. Well, anyway.... To that question above me - The boost system has been altered to where it charges up automatically during a sharp turn, so, the more you turn, the more boost you have. You must press a button and 'bam', you boost. I really like the idea. This will be a lot better for those non-snakers too. Even I got tired of constantly pressing buttons while trying to tend to the actual track and obstacles within it.

Double Dash is my favorite, and I've been playing Kart since the month the original Kart came out. It's a great game, it's better than Kart 64 in every way possible. I'd say it's nostalgic bias if you like N64 more. The only thing wrong with Double Dash was the cheap ass AI that could always catch up with you - But then I went and played it on 64 and it was worse Still, I beat every mode in that game on every difficulty multiple times. Plus, it has the best coop I've ever played outside of fighting games and first person shooters. Enough of that. The new Kart is going to be great. I just hope Petey Piranha isn't there.

^ I agree, although I like to make predictions. I do see a lot of detail in the backgrounds.. There's a lot going on back there, plus there are more moving objects, like the trees that sway back and forth. I like that.
