Don't forget that a lot of us have Steam accounts, and the autumn sale is going on still.
Also, I think if anyone didn't really fill out their interests and/or wants on the page, this thread might be a good time to do it.
I recall last year where I had a person that I couldn't find anything for at all, and had to question another member to get even a little bit of info. Like, two weeks of digging around and asking to find out they liked Sentai stuff, which would have fit perfectly in the info page we all set up the month before.

Having run into Lusamine this morning for the first time, I can safely say I do not feel safe around her, and if I was in a room and she walked in, I would leave before she started trying to eat my face.
That girl is fucking nuts.

The Fire Kahuna was a silly little challenge (spot the incredibly obvious differences!) but that Totem fight afterward...
I had full team, and all of them were higher levels and had no weaknesses to Salazzle's attacks.
That is, until it called for an ally. Which was a Salandit who spammed Venoshock. In case you aren't aware, Venoshock doubles in damage if the target is already poisoned. That's a move that hits for 130, which is the same as Overheat and Draco Meteor.
So Salazzle hit everything with Toxic, and then Salandit hit my team with a boosted Venoshock.
Every time I recovered HP and/or status back to normal, BAM! Hit with Toxic and Venoshock. Team is down to one and I barely manage to pull through with 3 HP left.
I've been playing since Red and I know the battle system and mechanics. But this... this was unexpected. That AI, working in perfect cooperation...
Fuck.

There's this guy that plays an electric guitar on the corner of the street on the other side of the park next to where I live.
He's an older guy, wears a duster jacket and an old cowboy hat. Only shows up once a week, and plays whatever he feels like for a few hours. Just blaring out the music, non-stop, with his guitar case open for whatever spare change people drop in it.
Most of the time, it's loud, brash, and kind of annoying. He's not a bad player, but he's just cranking up the amp and using the buildings around the intersection to make use of the echo. I try to avoid walking right by him because it's too damn loud most of the time.
But this one time a few months ago... I don't know if it was his mood, or the air temperature, or someone sprinkled magic guitar dust on him or something. The volume was just right. The echo was just right. The guitar strings were just right. I stood across the street and listened to him.
It was this bittersweet, melancholy, sorrowful, uplifting, slow mix of a warm autumn afternoon, a man just playing what he felt like, and some kind of understanding between him and the street. It seemed almost scripted, like out of a movie or something. People usually just went about their business at the hot dog vendor's cart, or kept walking past him back to work. But not that day. Everyone kind of slowed their pace. Ate their lunch a little slower. Sat down a bit longer. Read the paper a bit more. I could see the hot dog guy kind of swaying a bit. It was... I don't know, it was kind of magical?
He finished it, packed up, and walked off. Haven't seem since. I guess he packed up for the winter.
Hearing this made me think of that. I can see him playing this on the corner, with the autumn sun shining on the road, people sitting on the benches. Everyone is... just right.
Just right.

Team Skull is either the single greatest villainous team in Pokémon history, or the fucking worst bunch of losers to ever coordinate fashion together. I can't decide.
The grunts are hilarious, like when you first battle them with Ilima. They walk up, posing and gesturing like a bunch of confident assholes, that theme song playing loud and clear... and Iliam doesn't even notice them.
But then their higher-up members start showing up, and they're memorable as fuck.
I can't tell if they're really well designed or just silly and ridiculous.

Just go to the Mystery Gift option at the main menu.
Pick "Via Internet" and it will download the event.
Here's something they changed for the event (and hopefully for all future events): the Munchlax counts as your capture. It will have your Trainer Name and Trainer ID, and you can name it once you get it.

Oh, found out something fun and useful.
PokéBank isn't integrated with Sun and Moon yet, but when it is in January, you can use it to transfer your Gen 6 pokémon to Sun and Moon.
But, if you put a lot of spare pokémon in PokéBank right now, and let them sit there all the time, you rack up a lot of Battle Points by the time Sun and Moon are good to go.
And those Battle Points are used for things like Mega Stones, Rare Candies, TMs and Bottle Caps... which are used to max out your Pokémons IVs permanently.
So yeah, if you got PokéBank already, start dumping everything you can spare in to it, and rack up those points!

Well, it's only a few hours away from the midnight unlock for pre-loads and the eShop is opening up around the world. Lots of stores are having midnight sales, and in the morning, every other store on the continent will be opening and have a share of the 10 million copies that have been produced.
And with that in mind.. I think this thread is coming upon its end.
We only have one more XY/ORAS event left, and that's for Meloetta in December. The Gensect event only has one week left before it's over. In January, PokéBank will be updated to let you transfer your team from XY/ORAS to Sun and Moon, as well as anything you have from Red, Blue and Yellow versions on the Virtual Console.
Gen 6 isn't done. It's complete, yes, but not gone.
In a few years, maybe I'll pop my old Y version cart in, and check Kalos out one more time. See how much has changed from Gen 6 to 7. Maybe I'll just go stomp on the Elite 4 one more time, just for laughs.
But until then... I think I'm going to enjoy Alola. Looks like a nice place. Sunny beaches, clear night skies. Lots of places to explore.

Ayyy! We're getting Magearna early December! And not some bullshit code or anything. It's a QR code that you can scan with your 3DS and game,and it runs from December 5th to March 5th, 2017. That's four months to get one!

There is one good thing that came out of the leaks. Did you know that HMs are completely gone?
Fly, Surf and Waterfall are the only HMs that survived the change. Cut, Strength, all the other ones made over the years... gone.
Which means certain pokémon, namely Bidoof, are out of jobs and will see even less use on teams now.
Let's have a moment of silence for all our HM mules.
