  1. Mmm, as Orkybash as already mentioned, this mix never really goes anywhere. It's something fantastic to listen to, though, when you're down in the dumps, and just want something smooth to listen to. Regarding the title, it's not very energetic in the dancing sense - Though, it is something can could be romantically danced to. I can just see a group of couples romantically dancing to it. What really bothers me, though, is the lack of a bassline. Maybe some beautiful pizzicato strings could do the job. It's truely a tough decision, but NO. This mix leaves something to be desired, as mentioned before.
  2. Sounds quite a bit like the Actraiser Symphonic Suite. Good stuff, definitely.
  3. Now, this is a cool laidback drum 'n bass ReMix. Not something I'd listen to every day, but this particular mix does a good job catching my interests. Nice mixing and mastering. Nice to be hearing from new ReMixers, looking forward to hearing more by Selecta Novel.
  4. Could you be more specific? I'm curious at what you think about it quite a bit. Why? You're an orchestral guy, and you saying "Not bad" about this mix makes sparks fly.
  5. This mix is absolutely beautiful, enough said. The first minute seems to be my favorite part, and I love how the strings build up. Dale really does a great job building such a great atmosphere. I don't know how he does it. Another point of interest are the pianos scattered throughout the piece. I love that filter he has over them - I just love it. There's nothing bad I can say about this mix, no matter how hard I try. Good stuff ^^
  6. Nice to be hearing from Mr. Pordon again. First off, this is an excellent mix. The subtle intro smoothly introduces you into some nice heavier juice. My only complaint about this mix is during the heavier parts. The way the percussion is panned natural just doesn't work well with my ears. Panning the kick hard left and the snare hard right just doesn't work for me Other than that, it's great. Nothing else I can complain about. Good work
  7. This is really cool shit, I dig industrial. Definitely something you don't hear often on OCR (which is a damn shame). My only complaint would be the muddy encoding - More importantly, this is just a really awesome mix. Get it now.
  8. Sword Master for the NES - I can make it to the wizard in the first level no problem, but then he kicks my ass. I could probably kill him if I leveled up to level 3. Though, I'd probably run out of continues by then. Oh well.
  9. As Legion mentioned, this mix could use some mastering. The volume levels are just too low. Besides that, Sonic Blade uses excellent panning in this mix. Nice, beautiful orchestral intro. Something I sure do like. At 1:38, drums come in... Okay, this is something I'm going to have to bitch about. I dislike the drums. I personally think they ruined the majority of the ReMix. The drums are way too over-accentuated. Technically, the samples used are pretty damn nice. Though, at times, they sound fake in how they're used. Particulary the open hi-hat when it does it's triplet thing. And, the only crash cymbal used is panned hard left. That just makes the right channel dull/less exciting. The drums should have been a more laid back.. They take the stage and strings are buried. Sonic Blade shows a lot of potential here. Nice job with the strings.
  10. To start off, the intro is pretty mediocre. The lack of panning creates a lack of depth. At about 1:04 stuff improves. I sense more depth - I become more attached to this mix. Though, at 1:20, the mix goes boom. That flute hurts. Hurts a lot. At 1:52, the guitar is nice, but it becomes jangled with the piano. Again, no panning here. The strings, piano, and guitar are all center panned. It's beautiful, though, when the guitar goes solo. Then, at 3:00, it starts to sound like a porn groove (but less sexy). Eventually, the distortion guitar comes in. It's pretty nice, but it lacks dynamics. Overall, a mediocre mix. Could easily be improved simply by panning. Too many instruments mangle with each other in that center channel.
  11. Dude, this mix is amazing. 2:08 has to be the start highlight of the mix. The ending is just great. Tempo changes grab your attention and tell you how sexy this mix is. My only nitpick about this mix is the lack of panning on the hi-hat. This just disturbs me... Maybe because I'm a realist when it comes to percussion. But, yeah, this IS good techno. Cool stuff, Beatdrop.
  12. This mix is definitely something spectacular. A very, very sad piece. Probably won't be the same unless you've played PS4 and know how emotional this piece really is. Very mellow sad shit. Definitely something DJP doesn't do often, and it's nice that he does do it once in a while.
  13. The intro grabs my attention every time I listen to this ReMix. I fucking love the intro! Although, I never really liked the intro music in Phantasy Star 4 (It wasn't near as good as other PS4 tracks.), this is a pretty radical ReMix. Definitely worth checking out
  14. I've always loved this arrangement since it was on PMM Studio's site. It's cool shit.. But, if you don't like the grungy style or you're looking for something peaceful, you probably wouldn't.
  15. This mix is fucking fantastic... From the soothing pianos and bells to the full bodied percussion. This is a must have for ALL!
  16. http://www.classicgaming.com/castlevania/dungeon.htm Check out those Wicked Child MIDIs, decide for yourself.
  17. You're joking! Hmm... I just downloaded it from OCR, and it sounds just the way I submitted it. Nothing cuts off, nothing! It's a mystery.
  18. This ReMix is just so happy. If you're in a bad mood, or even if you're not, you should really download this. It's bound to lift your spirits
  19. This ReMix has been stuck in my head ALL DAY. I was humming it while at a funeral! Do yourself a favor and get it today. Does the original more than justice (which, by the way, kicks much ass. Get yourself a copy of M&Ms Mini Madness too. It's a fun quirky game.). Cool stuff, Mustin
  20. I dig those pizzicato strings the intro, besides that, the mix gets a bit bland for my tastes. Still, pretty cool stuff from Joe.
  21. This is really something. The transitions are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT... Highly recommended!
  22. Mustin is AMAZING at making very unique ReMixes (Team Gato, and definitely this) Listen to it, and it's an instant OC ReMix classic.
  23. Hahaha, yes, this Bubble Bobble ReMix is very slick. Dig those steel drums!
  24. Ahhhhh, yes, Gunsmoke. I used to be majorly addicted to this great game, and this ReMix just brings back those fondest memories. Heavily recommended, it's a fantastic ReMix. BTW DJP: The composer is Swimmer Tamichan and the game was published in 1988. It's as old as I am
