Hey! It's been almost half a year since Antechamber (my first album - if you want it the thread is still available, and you can also grab it from my site) and I've been hard at work since then. I promised then that once I finished five new songs I would make a new preview set, just like before (with Antechamber I made a preview set for every new batch of songs I'd completed just to remind people that I existed). Well, I've kept my promise! So - I'm hereby announcing my second album, Superscape, and have made the first preview set available. Right-click, Save-as here. Just in case you're not familiar with how I do these, there's about 20 seconds of each track faded into each other. The five tracks in this set, in order, are called: Hothead, Fields of Black, The Witching Hour, In the Mist, and Arboria. I've been working very hard on them and I think these are easily my best work. I've come a long way since Antechamber. Enjoy, and please feel free to ask me any questions or drop some comments. Superscape will be released early to mid-2008.

Holy shit guys bonsly confirmed! Actually that's kind of cool though. I don't think they've had an item like this before (something really heavy and unwieldy) that deals lots of damage - exluding like, boxes.

Awesome - I like it! Still not quite as much as Portal which may be my favorite from you of all time, but this has a really sweet groove, and I like the use of different styles.

Been a long time since I've listened to Septic Dreams but I still enjoy it. It's a bizarre, nightmarish yet oddly comforting listen. Really cool stuff. I particularly enjoyed Stasis/Enveloped (pretty much one track) and A Reflection on the Silence. Really well done and atmospheric.

Zero Punctuation (Hilarious) Game Reviews
Antipode replied to sephfire's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for continuing to post these - I keep almost forgetting about ZP till I see them here. They're always excellent and hilarious - the guy does a really good job. -
Still, cool stuff. Always like to hear about artists doing things like this.

Plus I SO called it early on.

Everybody loves Everybody Loves Hypnotoad.

Bender's Big Score was excellent! I was laughing much harder than I expected. Especially because the trailer made it out to be crappy. It's seriously pretty great, and it's amazing how many random show references they crammed in. Also, don't miss the Everybody Loves Hypnotoad episode on the DVD. It is one of the greatest things ever created. I may have laughed harder at several points during that than I did during the whole of the movie.

OCR01653 - Mario Kart DS "Charade"
Antipode replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I picked this up from DoD and saved it immediately. Glad to see it posted! I really like this, not only for the quality of your singing as opposed to several other tracks here, but because of the new style it brings to the site! Plus, it's just catchy. It's like the new style fits the original perfectly. -
I feel bad for not liking Ocarina of Time.
Antipode replied to Jaybell's topic in General Discussion
First: If by "it was like playing Doom" you mean that it was in first person, then sure, I'll grant you that. However, it is the first game of its kind to actually PROPERLY execute jumping and thus allow for GOOD jumping puzzles in an FPS. I think that's pretty revolutionary by itself. (I've been thinking about it, and it may actually be my favorite game over Ocarina of Time). But back on topic, did anyone try the ocarina of time bonus disc that came with wind waker? It allows for progressive scan output, which means you can see the game sharper than it was originally! I didn't realize that until just recently, and it really looks great. Now if only it allowed 16:9... -
Hahaha, awesome. I'd forgotten that "can the judges djp" has 3 meanings.
-
I love the music! I also love the fact that I can make it play as often as I want, while setting the Ashley theme to 0 frequency.

Just since we're sort of on the topic, can anyone name some popular songs (as in mainstream, not OCR) that blatantly use loops or easily recognizable samples from FLStudio? I always like to suddenly discover or recognize something from the radio and say "HEY, I know that drum/that background/that whatever".

By the way my answer to most of the "most underrated" threads is always Beyond Good and Evil.

Here's the old thread. Not sure if there's any other material there you could use, but here it is anyway. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5035 Maybe you could get some of these artists back onboard and finally finish this sucker.

So I was about 10 seconds away from buying an M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 keyboard when I noticed on M-Audio's website that no M-Audio software or hardware is supported by Windows XP Media Center Edition (the notice is available here)!!! Even worse, they link to a huge list of OTHER companies that do not support MCE, which I pasted below: What do I do?! I really wanted this keyboard and was close to buying it. Plus, I've had Media Center Edition for ages now and am well-enough established on my comp to not want to re-install Windows to get Pro instead (and I had no idea this whole time that this stuff wouldn't be compatible). Even if I wanted to go with a different brand of keyboard I wouldn't know where to start since I was pretty set on this (plus M-Audio seems to release most of the particularly good ones - I was also looking at the Axiom 61). So, my question - should I: 1. Go for some other brand of keyboard (and if so, could you give me a recommendation? I just recently posted my basic needs in the "what keyboard" thread in Remixing>Guides) 2. Install some sort of independently released patch (I haven't found one yet - if somebody could link one here I would be eternally grateful as this is probably the best option for me) 3. Re-install Windows to get Pro and spend hours re-configuring/re-installing everything (my least favorite option) 4. Get the keyboard anyway and hope it works (I've read on some forums that some M-Audio things can work anyway, but no guarantees) 5. Kill myself 6. Something I haven't thought of yet? Anyone else in my position?

Virtual Boy Wario Land. But of course there's good reason other people aren't paying attention to that one. (By the way it's one of the best games I've ever played).

I was just going to say this. It's not like they should HAVE to do this every time...it doesn't even make much sense there.
