  1. I realize that I posted a different track earlier, but I just finished this one today and I feel that it's probably a better suit for Overclocked Remix. I used themes from Lon Lon Ranch and Kakariko Village; this was partly inspired by the tavern in Link Between Worlds, where the musicians there would play themes from different area's/games. This idea for this piece is that you walk into a tavern playing the Lumpy Pumpkin Theme, but the players also mix in elements from other games as well. If this site has a rule against Soundscape elements (ie, tavern background, beginning and end), please let me know; it's too easy to remove it. Enjoy, and let me know if it has potential to be submitted here! Original: -Juke
  2. Sega mega drive game Ranger X [Ex-Ranza in Japan], stage 5 remix. Game composer: Yoshinobu Hiraiwa Orginal track: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4t8XYQN0om4
  3. Hey OC Remix community! Who else dived into Atlantica in KH2 and was blown away by the main theme!?? Here's my rendition of Isn't it Lovely from KH 2, in more of a hip-hop style! I also threw in a couple of Easter Eggs from the KH1 Atlantica theme, and the 2.5 HD remix of Isn't it Lovely. See if you can point them out! Original soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8RPJf8t7ag My remix:
  4. I need a lyricist to write English or Latin lyrics for this part: here is the full WIP: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/786731
  5. Doggy Accessories This arrangement is about Chain Chomps and the women who love them. Let me know if I should adjust some things. Sources: Mario Odyssey - Cascade Kingdom Link's Awakening - Mabe Village
  6. This is the new version of my orchestral remix of Guile's theme. I Started over completely from scratch and have taken the critique I received on the old version into account, but I still feel that it isn't quite "there" yet, somethings missing. I'd love some feedback on this, maybe you guys can point me in the right direction. [EDIT: link below has been updated, the old version is still available on soundcloud of anyone wants to listen and compare.]
  7. Here's a remix I began working on of Road Taken from Fire Emblem Fates. Currently only a short WIP: ReMix: Road Taken Trap Remix Source: Never really done trap before. Trying it out. The electric piano in the beginning is way too static for my liking right now so I will flourish that. Any feedback is appreciated; thanks for listening. EDIT: Also don't know how I feel about that lead panned to the left.
  8. Source: Remix: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7bFwjVuoLa7eExEX2R3YjdxLUU/view?usp=sharing Nemo's House Orchestrated - "A Night at Home" So here's something I started out of boredom. I actually like where this is headed, so let me know what you think so far. Thanks.
  9. A tango spin on an upbeat, underrated track from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. I never finish ORAS, but I'm sad to learn that the Abandoned Ship was replaced with some decrepit research station. I so loved the romanticism and intrigue of a lost cruise ship. What I love so much about the Abandoned Ship location is that it's not creepy. It's more a monument to travel and the past than a ghost ship. The orchestral theme from the anime plays up the romanticism and feeling of luxury. I adore that theme, and I've listened to it far too many times! And then one day in the shower ("too much water"?) it hit me – this piece works perfectly as a tango, rhythmically and thematically. I got to work, and here is the result. Enjoy! 10. I don't consider myself a musician, but I found myself trying a few things last year, based on a hunch. I wasn't really trying hard, but I've only managed to receive one or two pieces of feedback, in all of that time. Finding a forum feels quite difficult... but my latest bit of music is a game remix, and I know for sure that I can post here for feedback. For a while now I've had a hunch that the Eight Melodies could be played as a canon, and this is my attempt at it. I don't care what kind of feedback I get, as I simply need to know if what I'm doing is interesting. Though I'll point out that I have practically no experience in music and its software, so the mixing is probably bad. You are also free to skip the first 24 seconds of this song – that portion sounds deliberately bad, and is there to highlight how I've improved with Vocaloid. If someone thinks this is interesting enough to submit to OCReMix, I'll replace the intro. Otherwise, I don't really plan on submitting it at all. I think it mostly works. After the standard time-delayed canon, I removed the canon on a whim to reveal that it's still (mostly) in harmony. I then lead out with a proportional canon, and... I think it still works? 11. Sup everybody. This is my first ever cover/remix of any sort. I'm not new to making music but I am new to video game music and remixing/covering. I'm not looking to submit this or anything as I think this one stays too close to home according to the rules. I'm doing remixes to find out how my favorite composers did it, to learn, and to get better. I'm concerned with the mixing but I can use any feedback OG [flash=] [/flash] [flash=] [/flash]

  13. I'm always all over the place with tracks, and I had on attempt at remixing this song a while ago and it sucked. This already sounds miles better. ReMix: Ocarina of Time Title Source: You all know the source, it's iconic, it's been done a lot, it's cool, its chill; I dunno I had this idea so I guess it's cool.
  14. I originally did this as a joke, but I kinda like how the arrangement went. This is mainly for a comedy sketch with a King Boo puppet I PLAN on building. Basically its just King Boo playing this song on the pipe organ, with a humorous ending. My samples are crap, I'm well aware. I'm looking for ARRANGEMENT feedback. What could I do to make this sound more like a classical/spooky organ piece for most of it? then the humorous ending shows up as a way to throw you off. I wanted it to remain somewhat true to the original and not arrange it TOO much. But I don't want a carbon copy either. as for quality I was thinking of collaborating with someone here who has better organ sounds/mixing skills. Let me know what you think ...PLAY BALL!
  15. So here is my first Remix, but I think ist not so bad Do you like it? How is the Instrumentation and mixing? Any Feedback is appreciated. Thanks and I hope you enjoy! The Original: https://youtu.be/VEIWhy-urqM
  16. Made a Splatoon mix. It doesn't deviate too much from the source material apart from a few sections. I'm looking for some feedback on this track.
  17. Update: I'm working on a Mario Kart Medley for my achievement of 7k plays on Soundcloud. It's gonna include 4 of my favorite Rainbow Road tracks (DS, GC, 3DS, 64). This is the DS version. Some feedback would be nice in terms of what I could do better, what could change, etc. Source:
  18. I know I need to finish my medieval Halo theme, but this came into my head and refused to leave until I got a demo version down! This is Final Fantasy VII's ordinary battle theme ('Those Who Fight') rearranged in the annoyingly catchy, classic style of 'Elevator Music' (sort of Bossa Nova). It's called 'Final Fantasy 7/11' as I remember this kind of cheesy stuff playing in 7/11s when I visited Tokyo. Would love your thoughts; in some ways it feels fairly rough - in others, like I'm not sure what more can be done with it - so I need some inspiration & feedback! Here's the original theme, just in case you've never heard it or played the game (which you really must do, even if only for the soundtrack!) And here's the demo version of my track (via Soundcloud): Thanks!
  19. A subdued, sombre take on it. It's not attention grabbing, but it's not meant to be, so hopefully that's not a negative. Feedback appreciated: https://sites.google.com/site/vspaine/wips/Invest M.mp3?attredirects=0&d=1 Original:
  20. My cover of the song that plays during the most spoilerific part of Super Mario Odyssey. Also includes bits of Peach's Castle, Super Mario World's Main Theme, Mario 64's File Select Theme, and Jump Up, Superstar. Let me know what it needs in terms of production or arrangement so it can sound as good as possible! It's still missing a few backing vocals, but besides that it's about done in terms of recording.
  21. Hello fellow remixers, Here is my take on well-known Kefka's Theme from FF6. At first I thought it would sound a bit spooky for halloween, then I started experimenting and thus went for a more spacey ambient sound. I liked where it went so here I am. I would love some feedback and reviewing on this track. Hope you guys enjoy it ! http://www.mediafire.com/file/a9byk9dbvozb02u/Freaking_Out_v2.mp3 Edited: Reworked version
  22. I played through Super Metroid again recently (I do so frequently in fact) and felt it would be fun to do a sort of dark and industrial remix of the Red Soil Brinstar theme. I'm curious what you guys think, so here's a link to the current WIP version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/339uxzexjjcywmr/Zone Tripper - Crushing Depth (Brinstar Red Remix) master.mp3?dl=0 And of course, the original arrangement: Let me know what you think! I'm worried it stays too close to the original theme and I might have to add some more variations to it, but on the other hand I'm scared of kinda ruining the feel of it if I do...
  23. Ahh, Secret of Mana, the game that made me want to become a musician at the tender age of seven... it was my introduction to prog-rock. This one's not done, but is far enough along that I felt comfortable sharing. I was going for some mildly-psychedelic jazz-rock, to set the mood for chasing rabites after dark (and maybe a few cocktails). I haven't made an intro or outro, and the middle part is kind of lacking at the moment. Also, the mix was done on some low-end headphones while my nicer ones sit atop the ever-growing fix-it pile. I'm sure my complete lack of jazz background is apparent with that horn arrangement, but I'm learning as I go. I need a break from this one for a couple days, but I hope to finish it up and mix it by this time next week. In the meantime, please enjoy, and don't hesitate to leave some constructive criticism (or just be brutal if that's your thing, it's all appreciated). Thanks! Follow the white rabite
