  1. From what I can tell, the original doesn't just use notes from a normal diatonic scale, but I can find it hard figuring out some songs so I could be wrong. Will extend it later. Remix: https://sites.google.com/site/vspaine/wips/Unholy Thunder M.mp3?attredirects=0&d=1 Originals:
  2. Finished up a 2nd video using footage from our recording session from late April. This time we play Shoji Meguro's "Beneath the Mask" from Persona 5, which is both a favorite of ours to play as well as a crowd favorite from our shows. Over the last year I've digested more of Meguro's catalog than any other video game composer--I'm excited to have completed this particular work and released it for your enjoyment. Also, similar to my "Corridors of Time" arrangement, I snuck in a quote from another one of this game's tracks, as well--let me know if you catch it!
  3. Hello to all the amazing Ocremix comunity, My name is Carlo Francesco Lopez and i wanna share with you my latest recording. Its a medley of Double Dragon 3 for the NES. Cheers!! lml
  4. My remix and remake of 'Welcome to Wonderland', from Kingdom Hearts. I used some parts of the piano piece as a baseline, and added from there. Also added in just a little bit of the Traverse Town theme; I thought it mixed in well. -Juke
  5. Hello guys , i have made a HD remake of the classic song Aquatic Ambience from Donkey Kong Country , hope you like! -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h7wjUNg_rs
  6. Hey, everyone! Late last year I posted some live clips from my VGM/jazz group, The Hard Modes. Since then I've written a bunch of new arrangements for the group that we've been playing locally, and about a month ago we recorded some of our repertoire. I wanted to share the first of the bunch with you--the beloved "Corridors of Time" from Chrono Trigger, written by Yasunori Mitsuda: I never really intended to arrange this tune, especially because it seems like a lot of people cover it (and cover it well!). But, I kept hearing it while I was at MAGFest this year and was infected b
  7. Hey guys! I've been a long-time lurker of this community and I've recently made the decision to release my pent-up musical ideas. Though this track is already completed in my eyes, I am always looking for new ideas and suggestions for future arrangements/compositions. Looking for feedback in all shapes and forms. I'm not sure if I should try submitting this track to OCR, to be honest, but I at least want to see if it's up to snuff amongst my fellow music nerds. Cheers!
  8. Hey folks, here's a cover I recently did of Bravely Default's "Land of Immortality." Would love to get feedback from the community on what ya'll think. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9LxIwIRgFk

  10. finally a 2nd remix of knosses here my first remix..
  11. I decided to try a cover of this track to experiment transcribing and arranging source material slightly apart from what I'm usually comfortable with - this is mainly drawn from Masafumi Takada's Tokio Morishima theme from The Silver Case, with a passage from Erika Ito's DRIFT - Tokio's theme from the sequel, The 25th Ward. Any criticism would be incredibly helpful, but I'm particularly looking for feedback on especially problematic mixing and mastering issues - while I'm likely not returning to this particular piece, it'd be very useful to be more aware of the traps I'm falling into
  12. Hey guys, his is my cover of "Bonds of Sea and Fire" from Xenogears, composed by Yasunori Mitsuda. This is also my entry to the #SoundoleChillOut2018 contest! I originally wanted to do something more "chill" but during the arrangement i felt the need to fill a bit the drums and to add a bit of EDM arpeggios or distorted lead guitar. So it's maybe not the most relaxing thing, but i tried to use a bunch of reverb to keep that "chill" vibe. So we are curently working on a XenoGears album with the Pixel Mixers, i'm working on 2 other Xeno songs for the album, but i wanted to use Soun
  13. Sup OCR? it's been a while eh? Got a new Rockman/Megaman EXE remix up and thought I'd share it. Hope y'enjoy! LIGHTING UP THE DARK - MMBN3 R-MIX
  14. Hello there! It's been a while (almost 2 years) since I've touched anything from Unreal or Unreal Tournament, so I thought t was about time to remix something quite underrated from my favourite videogame soundtrack ever, enjoy!
  15. Updated contra music and match the progression of the song to about how far I can make it now without the code. Getting old now :p
  16. Hello all! Been coming here for years lurking about and finally decided to get back into music after finding some 7 year old mixes on a USB drive Whipped this together pretty quickly and it's a fair bit conservative but I like making the old songs that are more like a remaster with few liberties. Always liked the end music of Mario 2 so I chose that one to get my feet wet again! Feedback always welcome!!! Edit: I did the pads in the intro and bass with drums/percussion throughout. Left the main melody but slowed the tempo to something where I liked it Kinda simpl
  17. Here's a little duet I did with myself. Most of it is improvised on the spot, everything besides the harmony and theme of course. I'm not so sure about the audio quality. It sounds decent, but also not spectacular. Same with the mixing. Any opinions on this? Original tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dhzm7HJiMA&t=92s Thank yooouuuu!
  18. This is a Tribute Album to FFVI Music, featuring all the songs from the Original Soundtracks, rearranged and interpreted by 71 musicians from the Pixel Mixers Community! 58 songs, for 3h 25min of music This album features 3 “discs” called “Esper“, “Super Sanity” and “World’s Requiem“. We decided to share the songs in a way to create some “narrative arcs” between the songs, so the order is different from the OST. If you want a taste of our album before downloading, here is a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5VFEbGCy-o Or if you want to learn more about it, here

  20. just couldn't resist, so I took my remix from 2003 and added filter effects with ableton and a second and third melody-track (using the super-amazing Rayblaster VST) (added an old video of a landscape I built in cryengine sandbox years ago) remix (well, 2 remixes actually) can be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svPV9-hPFe0
  21. Hey everyone! I just completed this solo piano arrangement of "Flowers Blooming in the Church" from Final Fantasy VII and I thought you guys might enjoy it. I had seen a handful of piano arrangements of this piece, but overall this version of Aerith's theme doesn't get the attention it deserves. For my arrangement, I really wanted to push that tragic and expressive side of this piece, while staying true to the original tune. I've also included a link to the sheet music download in the Youtube video description. Hope you guys enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!
