finished SSB 64 - Fighting Polython Theme [Remix]
NyxTheShield posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Link: Source: Super Smash Bros 64, Fighting Polygon Team Theme Description: I had to make a remix of this piece for the fangame SSB Crusade. I had to loop it for the same reason. Feedback is greatly appreciated. -
I usually do progressive metal / rock stuff, but I really wanted to take it easy on this one and try to do the original justice with some slow build, crescendo, ambiance, etc. I experimented a lot with layering all kinds of tracks and effects to achieve a unique tone, and a buddy of mine contributed bass. This track is part of an album to raise money for charity. http://youtu.be/TjRPW7DWXF4

This is going on a friend of mine's Album as an intro on a Horror Metal themed band. He wanted something erie but like a lullaby so I decided to experiment with a 5/8 time which seems to give things an erie sound when used. https://soundcloud.com/chlysm/lullaby-of-the-damned Most of the song is in 5/8, but the bridge is 6/8 for 4 measures and then it goes back to 5/8 and fades out.

I had this one on my SoundCloud for a while, but I'm finally making it downloadable. This is a mostly groove focused remix, with some sampling of the original music around the middle section. Just really some beats to bounce to. Remix - https://soundcloud.com/ccricers/lost-n-found-beats-rayman-origins-remix Original -

finished Mario Kart 64 - Staff Roll (Ackatos Remix)
Ackatos posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Hey, this is the dance remix i've made for music credits from Mario Kart 64. I would appreciate your feedback. Original: Remix: -
I wrote this in 2012 for a friend who slipped into a coma. I recorded it in the studio last summer. It's a little bit progressive, a little bit orchestral, a little bit metal. Enjoy!

Edit: I've posted an updated mix on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/the-doom-1/the-wastelands-of-death-adder Original post below: Hey everybody, I've been a huge fan of game music for a long time and never thought to do a game remix 'till now. Here is the first ever remix I've ever done. It's a heavy remix with a Cannibal Corpse-esque type solo. As for production, I'm a home musician. I do the best with what I have - but I'm always open to hear if something was too loud/harsh/muddy for you. If you have a suggestions, please let me know what you were listening on. (Headphones, laptop speakers, home stereo, PC speakers, etc.) I really enjoyed doing this, so I have more planned. If you have any suggestions, let me know! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maZvMHn1jjI

https://soundcloud.com/zack-parrish/sacred-earth-memory-garenia Just finished this about a week ago for an upcoming RPG called Sacred Earth: Memory. Flute was performed by Alex Ripple. The setting for the music is a large city that is in perpetual winter(always covered in snow).

So, since I finally got some good equipment (bought a KORG KRONOS), I can finally start on my own original album. The idea of the album is to include four genres: Air (ethereal, calm songs), Water (waltz, smooth songs), Earth (militaristic) and Fire (high-energy songs). I MAY add Light and Dark down the road. This song is the first of the 'Air' songs. This song isn't completely finished yet, since it needs some finishing touches (small timing fixes, volume fixes, final EQ, etc) but it should convey an ethereal vibe worthy of being called 'Air'. Although a proper name will be given to this one day Looking forward to feedback from you guys! https://soundcloud.com/pu_freak/air-1

Sup! I've been making some random stuff after my MM4 remix (and still working on a new one...) Here's a latest glitch-hoppy track https://soundcloud.com/weli/bai-bai-neko I think the mixing and quality has improved a lot over the years, but what do you guys think? I was quite happy to get this sounding a lot better than my previous tracks

Nostalvania posted a topic in Post Your Original Music!
Here is my new solopiano piece https://soundcloud.com/karmus24/on-a-cloud-of-sound It's actually finished but maybe i want to change some little things. Thanks for listening and i hope you enjoy it! Edit: It's finished! I replaced the link with a new one. -
I just finished an epic orchestral track called Storming the Gates. It took quite a while for me to finish it. I was going for an intense Two Steps From Hell/Audiomachine/Immediate Music kind of feel. While it doesn't sound as good as their music, I think some parts, especially the choir, worked out quite well. Check it out if you're into this kind of music and let me know what you think. Thanks! -Malcolm

finished Sonic & Knuckles - Sandopolis (Eastern Samba)
mystaura posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
A remix I did of "Sandopolis." I kind of envision it as the "modern" mix of the song, if it were on Sonic Generations... That was the direction I was heading. The breakdown sitar melody interpolates "Sand Ruins" from Sonic Riders slightly, so I don't know whether I should include that in the remix description or not... As far as the status of the song goes, I still have some very slight tweaking I probably could do (as I'm really OCD about everything), but overall I'm happy with it. Sandopolis (Eastern Samba) -
Heres another one of my latest pieces to Pub Master Quests, "Fragmented Fate". Itried to make it sound very melancholic, but warm and peaceful too. enjoy!

http://youtu.be/IlfGvAozoIE Hey all, Recently got back into doing VGM covers and thought I'd stop by and share the latest, a cover of Final Fantasy VII - J-E-N-O-V-A. I'm new here (actually joined in 2006 but inactive) and as far as I can tell, the stuff I do is generally covers and not really remixes. Hope you like it!
