How to Post a Picture or Signature

Recommended Posts

first, can you guys see my sig pic, if so do you have the coding to resize it so that it's smaller. thx in advance.

Using html or forum code to change the displayed size won't change the filesize of your photo or make it load more quickly. Any basic photo editing program will let you resize the actual file, or a copy of it at least. Upload the new pic to angelfire once you're done editing.

Holy crap I'm an idiot. Thanks for your help, Seph, and thanks to Endblink for making this thread! I never would've figured out how to do this stuff otherwise! Thanks!

Okay. Now, is the file itself renamed?

'Cause if it's still a JPG, and you're just renaming the code TXT, it's not going to work. The file itself has to be a TXT file.

In your Uploaded files folder in you geocities account, rename the file to a txt and see if that works.

Since this is off of a school server, you'll probably be able to link a jpg. The txt trick is mostly for Geocities and Angelfire.

Also, don't forget to add the http:// before the www. ;)
