Deathtank Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I made a search and didnt find anything so I suppose its ok to post this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-455037/Armed-police-raid-home-mistaking-Lara-Croft-dummy-gunman.html Quote
Lemonectric Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 That story was XD up until the part where they arrested him. Then it was O.o Quote
OverCoat Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I like how the cops arrested the guy after they made the damn mistake. Assholes. Quote
The Mutericator Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I'm glad he's looking into wrongful arrest complaints. It was funny until they arrested him for their mistake - whoever made that mistake should be in trouble. Quote
The Author Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 AHAH... US cops are so zealous... aimms. How about UK cops, my dear homonym. This happened in the British Isles, and not in the colony. Quote
The Coop Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 The cops knew exactly what it was in the window. They just wanted an excuse to "cop" a feel on it as it were. Quote
kitty Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 The cops knew exactly what it was in the window. They just wanted an excuse to "cop" a feel on it as it were. Jesus Christ, I feel violated by that pun. Quote
Dyne Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Jesus Christ, I feel violated by that pun. Not nearly as violated as the gentleman whose house was just violated by said 'copped' feel. Quote
The Mutericator Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 The cops knew exactly what it was in the window. They just wanted an excuse to "cop" a feel on it as it were. UNCLE ULTRO- oh, The Coop. Still awesome. Quote
BlueMage Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Not nearly as violated as the gentleman whose house was just violated by said 'copped' feel. It's the price you pay for having a life-size replica fetish. Quote
OverCoat Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 How about UK cops, my dear homonym. This happened in the British Isles, and not in the colony. I wouldn't rule out U.S. cops doing the same thing. Or worse. Quote
The Author Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I wouldn't rule out U.S. cops doing the same thing.Or worse. Never said they wouldn't. I feel that Lara would have lost a life right then and there in the US for not "getting on the ground" fast enough. Quote
Deathtank Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 US cops would have called the SWAT team to do the dirty work... Quote
DarkeSword Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 How about UK cops, my dear homonym. Why are you bringing sexual orientation into this?! Quote
The Author Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Why are you bringing sexual orientation into this?! ... Ok, I can't tell if you are serious or not, so I'm just gonna roll my eyes. there ya go. Quote
DarkeSword Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 ...Ok, I can't tell if you are serious or not, so I'm just gonna roll my eyes. there ya go. Haha. No I wasn't being serious. Quote
X Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 C'mon. A simple look at the standee's figure should've been enough to tell that it's a fake. LOL Guess that what happens when acts of idiocy lead to other acts of idiocy, but whatever. I find myself amused that the PD has kept the mannequin for their own purposes (evidence was it? right... [heh, heh]) despite the fact that it's a poor excuse for property theft. I'm glad he's seeking wrongful arrest charges on the PD though. I hope that all the police involved are getting plenty of negative marks on their records. In all truth, they should probably be jailed themselves. Quote
Bummer Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 I like how the cops arrested the guy after they made the damn mistake. Assholes. This calls for negative feedback. Quote
The Coop Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 This calls for negative feedback. Timely arrival, but did not do what was expected- Will not call again! Quote
