Nohbody
View trailer here: http://www.wantedmovie.com/ I read the comic recently, and I remember thinking what a disgusing novel it was, and hoping God, I hope they dont make a movie out of this. And here it is. The comic was based off the Idea of a Fraternity of Supervillains, who destroyed the last superhero in some time in the 1960, and now rules the world. Theres this kid, the bastard offspring of the worlds geatest badass, who was killed while making a gay porno, whose life sucks and then he gets his inheritance: membership in the fraternity and a life of doing whatever the fuck he wants. And he does this the rest of the comic. Theres some bull about the supervillains killing each other but it was all in all retarded. The movie, however, has made the supervillains assassins and added an all star crew, a basic formula for sucess. Im going to see this shit, if for nothing more than seeing Angelina Jolie naked again. =P
FuriousFure
yeah, i didn't know it was a comic but since the director of NightWatch is doing it, i'm going to see it. i won't pay but i will still see it.

First of all, the story goes that all the supervillains in the world killed the heroes in the 1980s. Secondly, this is not even a plot point in the movie. Next, Wanted the comic is a sort of satire that pokes fun at the stereotypes of the superhero comic book. The movie? Not so much; action flick. Third, the whole point of the comic was the end: you and me and all the other comic book readers out there are living in a world where supervillains exist, but heroes only live in comic books and our imaginations because that's what the villains want us to think. Next time perhaps you could look a little deeper at what the author is trying to get across with his work. I fear for you if you ever read Watchmen. revenge_of_quatermass
This movie doesn't seem to have any bearing on the comic book. The comic had very particular imagery. None of the characters in the trailer are even wearing costumes. I remember that Wesley's costume was awesome, really cheesy and you could totally tell he was going to kill some people. The casting is all wrong for the movie, it would have been really great if they got the people that the characters were based on i.e Eminem and Halle Berry. I doubt that Shithead and Fuckwit are even going to be in the movie. This is going to be a shitty summer flick without any of the charm and humour of the comic. Can't wait till Batman, that's gonna be pretty fun.
Sinewav
Not knowing anything about the comic, I thought the trailer looked pretty cool, if only for the special effects (not something I usually judge a movie based on, but these ones looked particularly cool). The plot seems fairly typical for an action movie, but if the guy who directed Nightwatch is behind this, it should at least be pretty. Usually movies with Angelina Jolie are a turnoff for me, but the Matrix was still pretty fun in spite of Keanu Reeves, and this looks like a similar sort of concept. I'm honestly hoping for the best with this one, but I'm in agreement that nothing this summer is going to be as cool as The Dark Knight. I, for one, am very much looking forward to this. Didn't know it was a comic. Doesn't matter to me. The preview I saw was so over-the-top and I'm with that. Last over-the-top movie I saw was Shoot 'em Up so I'm ready for more hot action.

moviefan1180
televisionwithoutpity.com just posted a photo gallery comparing scenes from the book with scenes from the movie. It's really cool and the pics are pretty good. Can't wait to see the movie! http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/show/movies_without_pity/wanted_a_love_story.php
The Damned
Good god, could the plant/spammer be anymore obvious? 1. "moviefan1180" is hardly subtle. 2. You just joined today. The movie comes out tomorrow. Not the greatest evidence, but come on... 3. Your first and only post is to a site that gives the film a rather glowing opinion of it. 4. Not really proof, but you fucked up and linked to the wrong article. Nice fail. 5. Wanted is a Universal Studios flick, which, get this, is part of General Electric. Yes, that General Electric. They also have a division that handles websites, and guess who was setup by GE? televisionwithoutpity, that's who. Go away, advertising plant. We know how you work, and you've been called out. Tell your bosses that OCR isn't falling for this shit, and to make a memo about it.

They wanted to sell to a general audience, not just the 1% of the population that likes comic books enough to go out of their way to read them like you and I. Eminem is by far the most retarded actor Ive ever seen, Im mean he was acting his life story in 8 mile and he still did a shitty job. And hearing his music made me want to kill myself. I prefer the guy they chose for the movie, whoever he is, wasnt paying attention. And yes batman will be sweet.

DoctorDevice
I haven't read the comic, never even heard of it. but having just watched the trailer, I am intrigued. yes, it looks to be a predictable over-the-top-action-and-CGI-laden-explode-a-thon, but sometimes that's exactly what I want to see. of course, living in the middle of nowhere, it will be a long time before I can see it. Ninja-san
Never read the comic and I really don't care too. I've been excited for this movie since I saw the trailer in the theater. And just to throw it out there I'm not interested one bit in the new Batman movie.
EdgeCrusher
I still don't see what the appeal is of Angelina Jolie. Hated her ever since i saw her in Hackers.

Skullbullet
I still don't see what the appeal is of Angelina Jolie. Hated her ever since i saw her in Hackers. The whole "United Nations peacekeeping work" and "adopting children from Africa" thing tends to play well. I'm excited - I had also never heard of the comic before now, but it looks to be a fun movie with a decent premise and some good actors on board (by the way, the star is James McAvoy, who starred in The Last King of Scotland and Atonement, two fantastic movies; hopefully everybody knows who Jolie and Freeman are). Theres really no coming back from insults like these. I just enjoyed a reasonably good orgasm, though, so Im happy. Hey whos seen the movie? I bought a ticket and saw previews for a second, then my boss called me into work early, the prick.
Drack
Physics defying bullets are retarded. Centripedal force would NOT affect a bullet by curving it. Retarded. Also the biology defying healing baths were dumb. Action and plot were okay, but the beginning was awfully long. Decent movie, I guess. Nothing special.
