KaelitioN
That can be frustrating. I know there's sfPack , sfArk , sfArkXT , etc. Sometimes if the soundfont was compressed with one version of sfArk , using a newer (or older) version might not work . In any case , I managed to decompress the fonts I got from DarkeSword's page but the only one I kept was the drums_industrial. Maybe I'll get the orchestral font soon enough. Soo , yeah . Basically , once the file extension of your soundfont is .sf2 , you should be able to load it into your host app. You can try to drag -and - drop the sfArk file onto an open window of sfArk . That seems to work even though clicking the font and choosing 'decompress' or 'open with>sfArk' doesn't . It's weird .
-RK-
Does anybody have a sample of a soft bell similar to the bells in the beginning of the song " Super Mario's Sleigh ride OCReimx" by One up Mushrooms. I need sleigh bells for a little project.
Moonchilde
Anyone know of any good thunder, wind, and rain samples? Or where to get any? Preferably stereo, 44khz.

Oh, and I have searched the net but most of the time they're really low quality or the pages bring up ad pages or its simply 404 errors. Moonchilde
http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/soundfx/Weather.shtml Hey, thanks a lot... I had found that site the other night but was getting page not founds when I clicked the link, and right clicking to save as wasn't working either. Gave it a try again and it worked. Z3RO, all you need is an Orchestral kit for military sounds. Use EQ to brighten it up a bit and that will probably make it a little clearer. There is no "military" drums, its all just basic orchestral stuff.
Moonchilde
Well, I found some good samples, dcpsoguy, but thanks anyway. I will make a soundfont out of the weather ones I found and upload it somewhere. Anyone know where I can do that? Z3RO, all you need is an Orchestral kit for military sounds. Sleepy Emp
I'm lookin for any and all bell soundfonts... Thanks in advance! www.hammersound.net. Look for the tubular bells and Anvil bells soundfonts. Anybody know of some orchestral/milatary(cant spell) soundfonts? Highquality too. I relly want some Milararty style sounds. DarkeSword
http://soundfonts.darkesword.com/ has Squidfont and a Tubular Bells soundfont. Squidfont has a decent orch kit. Here's a mix that I used it in for an example of the percussion. The timpani and gong are not part of the orch kit in Squidfont. I'll update the site today with those two fonts. DarkeSword
Yeah they're good. Right, so I updated the soundfont site yesterday with two new fonts. If you guys have any requests for sounds that you've heard in my particular remixes, I'll post them up there. http://soundfonts.darkesword.com/
Koelsch1
Yes, it took me a while too to get the ones from DarkeSword to work. That squidfont is a monster, takes my computer 5 minutes to load it into the soundfont player. But my computer is a peice of shit.
Koelsch1
Yes Darkesowrds are tricky to get the to work
DarkeSword
They take a fair amount of memory. That's the deal with any kind of sample. A general rule: Samples need RAM. Synths need processor power.
KakTheInfected
I still can't get the ones on DarkeSword's page to work. Do they not work in Fruity Loops?
DarkeSword
Are you using the decompression tool I provided? Make sure you extract the .sf2 files. Then load them with the soundfont player in FL.
KakTheInfected
I've tried. It tells me they're invalid or I have to register them first. What exactly does it mean by register?
DarkeSword
I have no idea what's going on with that. Are you using a full version of FL with the full version of SFPlayer?
Piejacked!
Hate to interrupt, but I have a sample request. I need a steel drum. Anybody know of a good soundfont or some wav samples?
jordsau
I need a good Church Organ soundfont. The ones at Hammersound are horrid, and I couldn't find any other ones on the net...could you help me?
djcubez
I need a good Church Organ soundfont. The ones at Hammersound are horrid, and I couldn't find any other ones on the net...could you help me? Most softsynths can get a good church organ sound out of them. Use Triangle and Sine waves.
mightymarg
Darkesword I took all of your soundfonts and they all are great. Thanks man. I'm looking for really authentic-sounding guitars. Bass, acoustic, electric, everything. And this one's a little weird, but a human vibrato whistle.
