Very nice (glad I participated at the last moment ). I can't think of anything to improve the contest, really - it worked quite nicely as it's been presented. The only thing I can think of is for more people to finish their work, but you don't have control of that .

Keeping it annual helps keep people motivated to finish their work. Makes it more of an important event.

First of all, I think its awesome that a CD and some art are a possibility. That's cool.

I feel like adding a quick comment section under each track would be a good way to exchange feedback on the finished tracks. Feedback is encouraging (mostly) and it promotes growth as a composer, especially someone new like me, so streamlining that process means more of a good thing.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Yeah, feedback is important.. The idea of a listening party could do something for that, otherwise I suppose some kind of review system might work as well? Or, possibly (although that might not be technically possible.. yet?) an option to comment directly on the tracks on Compo:ThaSauce?

so I'm thinking we should organize a listening party (ie: we all meet up in #thasauce on irc.enterthegame.com some time and play the songs in sync and stream of consciousness babble about how much we like them as we listen, for those of you infamiliar with the concept).

what do you guys think would be a good time? sometime this weekend would be good. thoughts?

I just tried my IRC, and for the first time ever in my household it worked... Very, very strange. If it works again I'll certainly be there - it'll be fun (as I also would like to give and take some feedback).
