Matt E. Waldman Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Oh man, I LOVE the analog instrumentation here! Great overall sound. I can't wait to hear more! I can't think of any problems so far! A wishful/selfish suggestion from me: a lead guitar segment after the point this one ends? Keep it up! Quote
Xenon Odyssey Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 basically what everyone else has already said is tite, yo Quote
OceansAndrew Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Awesome start, I am excited to hear where this goes- maybe a slightly higher-fi analogue lead? Nice mood, and a pretty good soundscape, but it's just a seed, I know you can really take this source somewhere cool. Now GO! Quote
ambinate Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 One of my favorite tracks from Majora's Mask, and probably from any of the 3D Zelda games. This is really rad. I'd love to hear a finished version. Quote
Nubioso Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Right on, another Majoras remix. I think there's only 1 which is why I was inspired to do one myself....only another....ehhh, 2 months now until I hear whether or not it gets accepted lol. Anywho, nice remix you got here. Still sounds like it could fit in the video game itself (meaning it retains a very video game essence feel to it) but is still nice and remixed with your own touch on it. Too short currently, but yeah, you definitely should expand on that. A song that sounds like that that's another 2 mins in length would surely fit on here. Quote
M W Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Good news: I love where the new remix is going. Bad news: It seems I'll have to give up on my Halc-X-Chthonic OTP. Quote
buh6173 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 It's nice to see another Majora's Mask remix made, even if it's just techno. Still great stuff, though. Quote
halc Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 upadated with a little more length. just a taste of whats to come Quote
Xenon Odyssey Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 new section = teh sex although there's a frequency on those arpeggio things that bothers my ears (the ones that come in at 1:17) also i think the current filename should be the mix title Quote
Demonstray Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 This is rad! Keep it up, I wanna see the full version on the OCR front page STAT. Quote
Rozovian Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Nice. Lofi stuff, sweet arrangement (and source), nice groove, sweet sounds... nice something... sweet something... Around 1:00-1:10, that bass synth with the opening filter seems a little overpowering and abrasive, and the sound stops a little too abruptly. Longer release might solve that, just make sure the filter doesn't just reset to closed on key release or next note. Quote
halc Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 also i think the current filename should be the mix title you dont know how badly i want for this to happen Quote
Jayy Austin Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 wheres the mix? i wanna listen damnit....did you remove it? Quote
halc Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 THIS SONG IS NOT DEAD! update: http://tindeck.com/listen/mnpe Quote
Emunator Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Oh god YES! This is so awesome, I'm glad you haven't forgotten about this! The source tune just works so perfectly with your musical style! Quote
