Mr Azar
You know, you're walking down the street, and someone's playing a remix from their car, house, or you even hear it coming from a radio! Has this ever happened to anyone, and if so, did you strike up a conversation with the person?
LuketheXjesse
no but holy cow that would be awesome
Skrypnyk
no, and no. I add a lot to this topic.
Bahamut
I have a few friends who listen to OCR outside of those I know from OCR. The only time I've heard one played though was during my visits to the Nintendo World store.
halc
haha i've always wished that would happen. i have two ocr bumper-stickers on my car in hopes that someone will eventually take notice
Strike911
Once at a nerd convention. The other in my friends car... a couple of my friends who don't partake in the forum action here at OCR are quite the avid downloaders of OCremixes... I'll occasionally hear them listening to something every once in a while.
KyleJCrb
Sometimes at game stores I'll hear remixes, but that's about it.
Ramaniscence
I heard AM.FM.GM's Tetris mix on a radio demo in best buy forever ago and IMMEDIATELY recognized it. A Comic Shop down here plays OCReMixes all the time, and last time I went they were playing 8bit 80's as soon as I got in there :
Matt E. Waldman
Only at my friend's house, a VGL concert I went to, and there was an Earthworm Jim ReMix on the Earthworm Jim Anthology album I bought. So far, that's it!

Lint
Well... this one day me and two of my friends decided to go on a hike. When we got to the top of the hike we sat around and decided to play though Secret of Mana with 3 players. After playing for a few hours I suddenly realize that we were listening to an OCRemix that was from the Secret of Mana soundtrack... and just happened to be in that zone too. I think it was Zeratul's track. I only remember because this was two weeks ago and it was awesome to realize that we were essentially playing the game with the OCRemix soundtrack running (at least for that zone). Hmmm... still need to sit down and finish that.
Urban Xperience
I have! At my local Gamestation store in London, I heard Jared Hudson's Metal Gear May Cry Remix on what looked sounded liek a CD-R with the usual R&B / Hip Hop Pop. Had goosebumps while listening to it, so powerful! Then those goosebumps turned into cringebumps when the next track was by Soulja Boi Tellem. Skummel Maske
I tend to play OCR mixes at work, nobody's recognized it yet though.
Geoffrey Taucer
Define "real life." I mean, I definitely heard a couple of OCRemixes played live at a wedding a couple weeks ago, but I don't think that counts. Excluding OCR-related gatherings and things that have been my own doing (ie my girls doing floor routines to OCRemixes), I don't think I've ever heard any remixes in the real world. Salluz
By coincidence, a friend played a couple tracks without my knowledge in a game shop prior to me walking in.
Mr Azar
Well, the shop that was selling summer related products? The MP3 stereo behind the register was playing this little ditty. I didn't get to meet the owner, though.
Zephyr
Only at a VGL, playing before we sat down. That was expected.
Viking ZX
My hometowns local radio station lets anyone who knows how come in and DJ, and I've definitely played OCRemix doing my shows. On a side note, I happen to know personally that a famous author listens to OCRemix while he writes and recommends OCRemix to anyone that asks. How cool is that! ProjectSpam
haha i've always wished that would happen. i have two ocr bumper-stickers on my car in hopes that someone will eventually take notice haha, I do the same thing! Well, I used to work at a dollar store where I would play OC ReMixes for everyone to hear, but no one ever recognized the music (exceptions being a couple friends who came in to visit). About the coolest random game music experience was at a Giant Eagle near my college, when I heard the Viper Manor music from Chrono Cross start playing over the loudspeaker. Edit: at one of the ny ocr meets we went to nintendo world and they were playing oc remixes there Pretty scary I didn't notice you posted that... There are OCR Meets? OutSpoken
I always play 31 Seconds really loud, I wear my OCR T-Shirt whenever I travel in hope that I will actually meet someone who knows more about it than I do (when I say meet, I mean in person). I do my best though to spread the word of the awesomeness of OverClocked ReMix using my blog (http://www.reoganworks.blogspot.com/) and by just generally playing music really loud. I try, but I've yet to hear anything regarding OCR in "real" life.
Strike911
I had a professor at my university bring up OCR during a lecture a year or two ago.

There are OCR Meets? Yup, lots of us have met each other during meetups and became good friends that way. Generally people are pretty cool to meet & hang out with in the community.
