Mega Man X series: Maverick Rising - History

Man, it would be cool to go to an irl release party where people actually cream their pants before they even get there and then probably a few more times on site. I mean, hey, I'm excited too, but there's plenty of ear porn around here to keep you busy while you wait. Take a look in the wip forum, and fall in love with a new mixer there (or break someone's heart, if that's your sort of thing), but stop jizzing on every page of this thread. PLEASE.

THANK YOU! Quoted for truth, there are things you can definitely do while waiting for these projects to come out. That said *wipes the cream up with a towel*

Stevo, why'd you use my towel?

This is awesome news, and we're getting close to another teaser if memory serves. Or did we already have that? I can't remember...

stupid crappy memory...

Here's a bit of a random find: http://www.youtube.com/user/HeatnixMetal

Also for those who haven't heard Dominic Ninmark's stuff: http://www.youtube.com/user/NitroFlasher

Dominic has a variety of skills as you'll find out when you hear his songs on the album.

I got some song updates for a bunch of people, so it's looking like we're wrapping this album up. For those worried looking at the completion list on the first post, I can assure you all that most of those tracks will be done in time with maybe at most 8 of them not complete.

There is also a mystery guy who joined the project for a track who should provide a rocking tune for everyone! This guy is no doubt awesome and probably unknown to most of the community.

This morning I got a quintuple of wavs, three of them from melody, WillRock, and Skummel Maske!

We're 16 days away from closing the book on the album musically, which is a pretty exciting time for us. I have about half of the wavs I'm anticipating now for the album.

Those who haven't finished should know that I am comfortable with what has been given to me so far, so I have no problem with closing the book when the ball drops to usher in the new year EST.

Kinda offtopic, but this need to be said.

Kyle,

Thanks for giving the Street Fighter 2010 arranged tracks, and all other unheard tracks, some proper love in the NGI shows :)

Keep up the good work!

Washu, the job you did on that album is just breathtaking. I'm still in awe every time I hear it. You managed to hit all 5 of my favorite tracks and did the complete justice.

Thanks, Bahamut! Yeah, I have some of his songs already...the X-Men vs. SF and the Garuda songs are my favs from that bunch.

The reason I am asking is because the first sample seems a little heavier on the guitar than the final preview sample. Did he change it or am I just hearing things (because I liked the version with the heavy guitar best), or is it just different parts of the song I am hearing and nothing has changed?

Are we still on-track for a Jan release? :D
