PrototypeRaptor Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 "It's a-me, Mario." *molotov* why do these crazy re-imaginings keep me coming back for more? Quote
Xenon Odyssey Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Your princess is in another castle *ratatatatatatatatatata* good shtuff Quote
Sansato Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Honestly, I was expecting another Hollywood Bob-omb like the craptastic theatrical release featuring Dennis Hopper as Koopa. This is one of those occasions where I'm happy to be wrong. "It's-a me, Mario" indeed. Quote
MechaFone Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I would play and/or watch this movie/game. Quote
EC2151 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I am in the minority that thoroughly enjoys the silly and stupid Mario Bros movie with Dennis Hopper. Quote
linkspast Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I really liked the reference's. "well excuse me princess." Quote
Daemos Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I am in the minority that thoroughly enjoys the silly and stupid Mario Bros movie with Dennis Hopper. yes, as silly and stupid as the movie was I liked it too. As for the clip in the topic.. I'ed watch that. Even play it if it were a game. Quote
EC2151 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 It gets a lot of flak, but heck, it was your typical late-80s early-90s action tie-in cash-in adventure movie, and has all of those said tropes that make those movies like a good cheeseburger: not particularly healthy, but sometimes you just want a cheeseburger. And plus, some scenes (like with the fucking awesome jetpack boots) were just zany and fun. You can tell they had plenty of fun inserting the fan-service and cameos into this one (loved the bob-omb), as opposed to a snooze-fest like Final Fantasy. Sorry to go off-topic. Quote

Chernabogue Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Awesome. It would be great if they do the whole movie. All the references, just epic. Quote

What are you talking about? Advent Children is total fan service! ...Oh. You mean Spirits Within? OK then. I would definitely watch a full length live action movie of that trailer if it was ever produced. Quote
StarZander Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I am in the minority that thoroughly enjoys the silly and stupid Mario Bros movie with Dennis Hopper. I always think of this movie first when I see Dennis Hopper or Bob Hoskins somewhere. Quote

TSori Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Haha, that was awesome. Completely unlike anything I expected. The references were great, but my absolute favorite: Toad with the bazooka. Quote
