The Derrit Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 atma you're our favorite because despite all your trolling you're still endearing. that's the big difference.
Scufo Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 See that post right there demonstrates why you need to lurk more.
!Nekko! Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Guys, he's getting better. He's not making 4 posts in a row anymore.
TDKenyon Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Can I say lurk more now? Omg who is your favorite Smash Bros character?
TDKenyon Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 My favorite character is Kirby or Jigglypuff. I'm one of the guys who likes to float around a lot and hates dying from falling.
atmuh Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 your idiocy is hilarious yes im talking to both of you
TDKenyon Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 RTYPE and I, or RTYPE and Arek? If it's me, yeah, I know Kirby and 'Puff are lame chars.
Global-Trance Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 With Brawl so close, I can't help but reminded of all the overzealous "Man. [insert Character Here] is SO going to be my main" exclamations going around. That is so dumb. When Melee was coming out, I'm sure there were plenty of "Man. Bowser is SO going to be my main." Look how horrible that turned out... (unless you're Gimpyfish)
TDKenyon Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Haha I completely agree. I didn't mean for my question to be taken as future chars, I meant the Smash Bros series thus far.
Effector Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 With Brawl so close, I can't help but reminded of all the overzealous "Man. [insert Character Here] is SO going to be my main" exclamations going around. That is so dumb. When Melee was coming out, I'm sure there were plenty of "Man. Bowser is SO going to be my main." Look how horrible that turned out... (unless you're Gimpyfish) Well, that only holds true if you're talking about a main for competitively playing. For example, I would never take Bowser to a tourney, but for a fun game with friends, I would use him, sure. I don't think myself able to tell the "top-tier" characters at this point, but I know that Wario looks hilarious to play as. Still, when I get my hands on the game for the first time, I think I'm going to be playing my first match with Dedede - just because he looks fun to play as. Who knows what his chances are for competitive play.
!Nekko! Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I supposed there is a possibility of Sonic being a new character that I might use more often than others, but I will not know for sure as Brawl has not been released yet.
TDKenyon Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I supposed there is a possibility of Sonic being a new character that I might use more often than others, but I will not know for sure as Brawl has not been released yet. Surely you don't mean that you're not sure if Sonic is a new character.
TDKenyon Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Since we're on the topic of who we're looking most forward to, my choice is Pokemon Trainer.
Zombie Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I am looking forward to pit, but I think I will stick with trusty ol' link most of the time.
Bleck Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 When Melee was coming out, I said I would claim Dr. Mario as my main character. And I did. And he's still my best. This time around I'm going for either Lucas or Dedede, whoever I like more.
Global-Trance Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 What I mean is that nobody knows who they will enjoy playing the most, whether it's competitive or just for fun. Thus why it's stupid to pick so early.
Bleck Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I am pretty sure I will enjoy playing as Lucas and Dedede seeing as though they are basically my favorite characters from any game ever.
JCvgluvr Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I think he just means a character that he tries out. I'll probably try him out too, just for fun. Pit too. He looks like cool character. Mostly, I'm looking forward to Samus' new (actual) shininess. Also, levels were mentioned earlier. Why exactly is Temple not used for tournaments, when Rainbow Cruise is comprised of platforms that appear/disappear? I'd say Temple is more straightforward, albeit large. Brinstar Depths rotates; so what? I've also discovered that certain characters seem to have advantages/disadvantages on certain levels, so it seems to me like whoever decided what levels made a "true" tournament were a bit biased. Eh, I think its because people can just lurk in the bottom part with ridiculously high % and stay alive. After all, that's how I won! I wouldn't have had a chance against Sheik otherwise. I'm going to start as Mario, and probably use him every so often after that. That's how I do it in Melee. I think it will introduce me to Brawl's new physics, stages and items quite well.
Strike911 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 ... pick so early. I want to main Solid Snake just because everyone I know, knows how much of a Metal Gear freak I am. It's a natural fit. I'll try my best to get good with him regardless of whether he sucks or not. Of course, I'm half-joking. I would love to play Snake, and if fate so has it, I will providing I can do anything at all with him. It will be hard not to backslide to my old Melee character. I guess we get an update tonight too. That's exciting. That was a pretty weird week without my Brawl goodness. We're nearly to the one-month waiting point! How exciting!
Airwalker Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Woo, updates resume today! I predict: How to save! "Wow, we really loved the feature where you could save in Melee. And we're bringing it back! You can even access your saved files..."
atmuh Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 why the BALLS are they bringing back all the crap
Bleck Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I swear to fucking jesus if they don't bring back poke floats
Scufo Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Bringing back a whole buttload of Melee stages, eh? Corneria, Brinstar, and Onett, good. Others not so good.
TDKenyon Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I've never been a fan of the moving stages like Poke Floats or Rainbow Cruise. They're very cool levels, I just don't like playing on the,
