AngelCityOutlaw Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Sad news. Russian singer "Origa", best known for her work singing on soundtracks like and died yesterday at age 44.RIP Quote
Liontamer Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Damn, she was awesome. Loved her work. Quote
Chernabogue Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Not familiar with her work, but damn, 44 is still young. RIP. Quote
Cyril the Wolf Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Damn, she gave me chills... 44 is far too young. Quote
Dave the Rave Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 While I've never played FF13-2, Ghost in the shell Stand alone complex was one of my favourite anime. It is a shame she is gone. May she rest in peace. Quote
Garpocalypse Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Just ruined my day. Origa and Yoko Kanno were such an awesome team. Quote
Mikeaudio Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Yet another tragic loss. This one hit home for me. Quote
lavosslayer Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 This one really hurts. Until I heard "Inner Universe" I never considered listening to an anime theme outside of watching a show. That track changed all of that and to this day I have "Inner Universe" and "Rise" on rotation on my daily playlist. RIP ORiGA Quote

RIP ORiGA Ghost In The Shell, especially SAC is one of the only anime series that I actually would call myself a huge fan of and I really don't like most anime. Inner Universe is what drew my attention to the show. Her collaborations with Yoko Kanno were always amazing - I'd have to say that "Rise" was my favorite though. Quote
Crulex Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Damn, man, I didn't even hear about this until now. Rest in peace, Origa. Far too soon and a talent that will be missed. Quote

It's a crying shame she's gone. She was easily my favorite foreign language vocalist, and was ridiculously talented. Quote
AE_Hall Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I've only just discovered this news. I'm more than saddened Quote
Brandon Strader Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 That's super sad, her songs were great, it's a stern reminder to vocalists that the small tone de-boost you get from smoking isn't worth it (looking at you Adele) ...but it may have just been bad luck too. Cancer is a shitty fiend. RIP Quote
