Fira-Flame Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 Wow, this peice is so nice. It's just bouncy enough to think it was actually in the game. The beat just makes me want to clap my hands!! Quote
Archdeco Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 It should be noted that this song is used as the title theme for the flash adaptation of 8-Bit Theater. I consider it it's official theme. Every time there's a new episode I have to break out this song. http://www.nuklearpower.com/ Quote
Babysoft-chan Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 I am officially obsessed with the Chocobo theme now 'cause of you, Draggor. ^^ This is the best Chocobo remix I've heard so far, and I'm certain it's going to remain my favourite. It actually sounds like it belongs in Gold Saucer, and not all of the remixes sound like they 'belong' in the game. Great work! Quote
metal_kitsune Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 this is by far the most creative and well-done Chocobo theme remix on the site. when I first heard it, I wanted to get up and do a happy little dance. the arrangement is good and well-paced, everything is decently balanced, and I love how the main theme was kept in the MIDI-style beep form. the "wipeout" segment was icing on the cake, giving the feeling that you're getting two remixes for the price of one download. all in all, it makes me want to thank Squenix for Chocobos until the end of time. bravo, Draggor. you are most certainly teh roxxors. Gasdyf_Warefayer Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 When I started listening to this Remix, a strange image formed in my head: Cloud walks into a Chocobo Stable, a big boombox held on his shoulder. This song starts playing. All the chocobos start bobbing their head and stomping their feet to the music...it's weird, but that's what happens... Quote
Platinus Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 There aren't any words in any language to describe the noise I made when I first heard this song. It's soooooooooo good. GAH! I just wish more Final Fantasy characters had a mystical love children with one hit wonder pop. Just imagine it. Moogles mate with...um...lets see...nevermind, the children of everything are just too frightening. But this child, the Chocerana, this child is the most adorable kid I have ever seen/heard. Great job. Quote
Valruz Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Hi. I just heard this song via the animation of 8-Bit Theater, and I came to look for it, but it's gone. Could someone please inform me as to why? -Valruz, Caian Warrior Quote
Bummer Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 There aren´t many instrumentschanges compared to the original, but DUUUUDE, this still rocks. First time I heard, I just downloaded it right away. Those who reads this knows or will probably know why. Thanks again Draggor. Quote
The_Wind_Waker8 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I first heard this one on 8-bit theatre, and I loved the tune. So I actually watched through the credits just to see what the song was, so I could then search the internet for this song. Definitly downloading this one, and I'll play it over and over again! Quote
lady zelda Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 This one is just plain fun. Love that slow-down and speed-up part around 2:50. Somehow, everything just falls perfectly together. It really gives me a picture of a day at the amusement park. Just letting the wind take your hair as you ride up and down the roller coaster or simply walking and talking with your buddies. Good for a sunny day. Quote

Square-EnixLover Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 I love all of the chocobo-chocobo remixes, but this one is the best by far. I love how you did the background music, it kind of reminds me of double dragon games. You also didn't just stay with the normal chocobo tune, you mixed it up, but in a good way. Yeah, it's just overall a great song, listen to it almost every day. Mmmmyup Quote
sefirosu Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 "HEYYY CHOCARENA!" Woo! Love it. I turned it on, put it on my stereo system, cranked it up and danced! *Listens and dances some moar* Yep, still awesome. Quote
42 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 "HEYYY CHOCARENA!" Hahaha Oh Snap! This is amazing. It has this chippiness to it that I haven't heard since Pokemon Gold & Silver. I imagine the dance moves to this would be a cross between the Macarena and the Chicken Dance. It's chocobo, it's fun, it's get down and shake it on the dance floor. One just can't listen to this and not smile. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Lots of claps! Everyone clap! A pretty cute remix that holds up decently, with some good interpretation. Production gets a little messy, but I can't fault this track for having a good time. Quote
SoulinEther Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 (edited) a little interpretive, but on the whole not too impressed. the melody could stand out more and perhaps be a more driving force in the song to pump you up / get you energized / dancing. second half has more energy - but melody presence problems continue. i still can't see "carena" without thinking "hey ocarina!" MechaFone Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 A bit wonky here and there, but not a bad mix. I like the surfer feel coming in at 2:50, got my head a-noddin'. Quote
Holy Land Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) Haha, this makes me smile. The cheerfulness is infectious. At first I thought it could use a little bit more of interpretation and focus, but once the second half/soloing kicked in I was sold. ...and it left me wanting some more of that "Wipe Out" section. Good stuff Thumbs up. Edited September 1, 2010 by Holy Land Quote

I even laugh a little sometimes it's so cheerful good work on this piece. Quote
Mythezza Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Ten years later and it's still one of the best feel-good songs on this site. Head-bobbin' dancin' bobblin' track. Stands the test of time. This is an OCRemix classic. <3 Quote
cipher_nemo Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 It sounds a little confused like it's tripping over itself, but ultimately it's an interesting and worthwhile remix of chocobo tunes. Quote
