Been digging Fxsnowy's tunes on SFRG lately, and this one too is a delight. What Liontamer said - soundscape more delicate than thin - resonates with me. I like the tempo alterations, the sample retriggery-jiggery and the playfulness here in general. Good fun!

I remember hearing this in the workshop forums. This really has evolved well since I first heard it, and it's become a fun little ditty that I love listening to. Congrats on making it to OCR!

Great theme and absolutely fantastic rendition. The koto is sublime and fits the theme perfectly.

Great final execution from when it was bouncing on the WIP Forums.  I actually really like that it wasn't trying to be super realistic.  It makes it innately fun and blends nicely into a genre of Japanese TV/Commercial/spot music that is done nigh identical to this.  "Authentic" instruments in a more playful, engineered way.  In that sense, it's actually super authentic!

Fxsnowy, well done.

That's an interesting track to tackle! Love for what kind of sound you went, it's quite good! The samples are of great quality, and the arrangement is really fun -- the Asiatic atmosphere you create is really cool. Nice production, and nice job! :)

Interesting stuff. The sound choices are exotic and keep things fresh. Not much to say but solid mix.

SMB2 has always had one of my favorite player select themes (one of the few memorable to me actually), and hearing it get this nice, short and sweet Oriental as hell ReMix is pretty terrific. Gotta love that raun moon guitar and the koto, I really do like hearing those instruments. It's just fun and super enjoyable all around. Authentic sounding or not, it's clear what the direction of this mix was and it achieved it's goal 100% in my opinion. Awesome arrangement, definitely adding to my mp3.
