  2. Hm, I missed Crysta when I was auditing tracks. Indeed a lovely melody that would be interesting to tackle. But like Odai says, first finish the track you're working on I do have some good news though, this morning my pal and frequent collaborator @Tuberz McGee sent me the missing guitar recordings for my track (pleasant surprise because I didn't expect it yet, it sounds awesome!). So the final version of my track should be coming along quite soon!

  3. "The sound of stone scraping stone echoes through the dark corridors as you push open the secret door in the backroom of the ruined castle tower. The stench of decay and a burst of warm air erupts from the passage, and you see a stone staircase descending into darkness, flanked by walls adorned with intricate designs of tentacled creatures, armoured soldiers and treasures. You've found king Bairn's hidden catacombs. What do you do?" I recently (as in, around 6 months back) got to play my first D&D game, and it was awesome. I fell in love with the game, particularly 5e, and have since begun running my own game for a small group of friends. I've been looking for a website with a forum where I could talk to other players and DM's for advice on running my game, and then I realized there are probably some players on OCRemix. Were my assumptions correct? Are there other D&D players on these forums who would like to discuss their games and experiences and ask for advice? Also, just for fun, here's a WIP version of the map for my campaign:

  4. Your drums are really poor. I figure the focus is more on the guitar/guitar playing, but the kit is just weak both in terms of the mechanical sequencing and mixing. 1:45 is very awkward. Feels like one song just ends and a new one starts, and the way you introduce the other guitars during this part seem very random. I'm not big into the metal genre, so I'm not sure if it's the mixing or the recording (or the performance) but sections like 2:25 seems over saturated, everything is trying to play on top of each other. 2:46 wasn't as awkward, but it still seemed like a weird transition. Hopefully someone with more interest and experience in the genre can elaborate better. I hope this project was good practice for you.

  5. Pitch bending in FL using the standard pitch knob might be fairly unnatural-sounding depending on the plugin (sometimes it feels "stepladder"), but if you want to do it that way, there should be a "2" by default next to the pitch knob (it says "RANGE" right under the "2"). Then just increase that "2" to a "12" to allow a larger pitch bend range and thus one that is more noticeable. If you mean in the piano roll, it's portamento, and it only works for native plugins like 3xOsc and plugins made for FL's piano roll. You can go into the VST wrapper, click the wrench icon, and enable "Mono". That should allow you to "bend" from one pitch to the next (portamento) in the piano roll for native plugins. Or, you could double click one of two overlapping notes in the piano roll for a native plugin and enable "Slide" (the right triangle) to slide from one note to another.

It's not even really just Payload, either. Both Torb and Symmetra are solid picks for defense on any Assault map.

    Bring It On, Summer!

One day track? No way! Awesome, the only thing that could be improved is reverb depth like on the rhythm guitar but it's already awesome so don't bother..

Here's something interesting http://gamerant.com/overwatch-stats-website-wins-kills/ From a sample size of 800,000 players, Symmetra tends to be on the winning side the most with Torbjorn being 2nd. Mercy and McCree being the lowest.

Oh, I'm not saying that it's an inappropriate action for the god to take. But what you have is a character who would never exist. He's supposed to have dedicated his life to a good god who's supposed to respect treasure, and right out the gate he violates that. If the character had been under the control of this player earlier in his fictitious life, he would have fallen out of favor earlier. It's not like a video game, where you're playing someone like Commander Shepard who's mostly a blank slate before the game starts. What I would do as DM is talk to the player and discuss the possibility that he really never should have chosen this character to begin with. He can then switch characters, or reveal a secret backstory to the character that would explain his actions, which would result in staying the same character story-wise but changing the character sheet. For instance, he might have told everyone he worships Njord (and could continue to tell everyone this) but secretly worships Loki or Hœnir, or isn't actually a cleric at all.

  12. I played D&D on-and-off for many years with a specific core group of friends. One of my oldest friends, Sarah, has run campaigns in her own personal setting since we were in high school, and I, along with other friends, have played many characters that helped shape the setting; one of my characters has essentially entered into legendary-recurring-NPC territory at this point. It's been a massive source of creativity in my life wholly apart from my composing/arranging hobby. I've spent a lot of time writing stories and engaging in both D&D and freeform RP to flesh out characters. Sarah's DMing style leans more on the storytelling side of D&D over the mechanical, board game combat side, so it's always been a great way to engage in great storytelling. It's not even the typical funny stories you hear from folks playing D&D either about how they managed to kill their whole party or about how they just screw with people; it's more like, there's so much character development and real drama that it's become one of my favorite fantasy settings, on par with Dragonlance or LotR. Haven't played in a few years because we're all adulting now, but I miss the crap out of it. Might bother Sarah to get a game going soon.

  14. Listening to the whole album right now. Seems really nice. Been lurking the site for years, but I decided to create an account just now. Fun fact: Arxidopita would translate to "testicle pie" in Greek (source: am Greek). Neat track though.

  15. I guess you got me there, but that Xenoblade Chronicles song was far from sleepy time music Maybe I shouldn't be saying anything though because (1) it's disruptive here, and (2) people will realize I actually have no talent!
