  1. That map looks pretty sweet! The layout actually does a good job of conjuring memories of early Zelda temples, as well. I like it. My group had an interesting adventure last session, and the party got pretty badly separated, with both of our spellcasters ending up in prison, and all of their possessions - including our spellcasting foci - taken away and hidden. While the party paladin went on a crazy adventure to fight and break the sorcerer out of prison, killing several guards along the way (and accidentally earning our sorcerer the moniker of "The Pyromancer of Mordheim"), I, playing a druid, pointed out the DM that Wild Shape was technically not a spell, and therefore didn't require a casting focus, any material, verbal, or somatic spell components, or any equipment at all of that matter. Thus, the night my character was thrown into a human-sized cell wearing human-sized shackles, he simply turned into a rat and scurried away. While the paladin and sorcerer's mini-quest had taken hours of real time and multiple combats, and put them on the equivalent of a terror watchlist in the city, my escape took all of a minute to resolve and my character's anonymity was maintained.

  2. The People's Remix Competition 326 PRCv13-14 Hello everyone and Welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Let's do something special this time. Years ago there was a site called http://www.animeremix.org/ which was related to Ocremix. Not Video Games are central, but Anime Themes. The site is still accessible, but it is a bit broken. I think the download links still work. There was also a contest these days which was 'the PRC of Animeremix' called Anime Remix Competition (ARC). One of the sources was Ducktula, nine rounds were done. In 2008 another contest was runned by Xaleph: http://compo.thasauce.net/compos/view/AR24C (I know that this is not the best image ever). For this round any Anime Theme is allowed. This is your chance to remix anything from The Lion King, Dragonball Z, Ducktula, The Simpsons or whatever Anime Theme you want. Anime Themes which are used in Video Games as well are also allowed. It's your choice. If you don't have an idea what to remix you can look at http://www.animeremix.org/ using #, A-Z on the top to find possible sources. It doesn't matter how many Anime Remixes of the source are already done in the past. It's a Free Anime Round. If you're not sure if a source is accepted, feel free to ask it in this thread. If you don't get a reply in a few days then just go ahead with it. I'm probably not able to check it (not sure if I have internet acces in the coming weeks) so I'm not strict this time. Source: Anime Themes http://www.animeremix.org/ Source Information ThaSauce link: Click here to submit To submit a song at the compo page a ThaSauce account is required. If anyone has problems with registering or uploading the song to ThaSauce, please upload the song somewhere else and post a download link in the thread. I recommend Soundcloud, don't forget to allow downloads to enable me to upload the song at ThaSauce. To register and submit, do the following. Click the ThaSauce Link. Click the 'You are not logged in' button in the upper right. Click on 'register' (at the bottom). Read the terms and click 'I agree to these terms'. If you don't agree with them, upload the song somewhere else and post a download link as mentioned above (by doing that, you allow me to upload the song at ThaSauce. Continue the process by filling in your information. You will get a question to confirm that you're not a robot. Here are some possible answers: Name a compo: PRC (or AR24C) Who organizes One Hour Compo: Starla Name a ThaSauce subdomain: compo.thasauce.net Who created Mega Mans: Capcom A confirmation mail will be send. There might be some issues with it (meaning that you don't get it), if that is the case, upload the song somewhere else as described above. Once registered, login with your username and password, go to the mentioned page and submit the song. If you want submit two or more songs you can create multiple ThaSauce accounts or upload the song somewhere else and post the download link. PRC instructions Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 20 MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed (only as Bonus Mixes). Entries must be posted in the by Saturday July 16th 2016 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT), check the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. This is longer as usual since I'm on vacation for a few weeks. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can also upload it somewhere else and put a download link in this thread Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted in this thread. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC328. HoboKa selected the source for PRC327. The winner of PRC327 may also select a source for PRC328. The winner of PRC325, HoboKa, can take part in this round. You can find the full rules list at this page as well. GOOD LUCK! PRC ThaSauce Home Page!

  3. Hey guys! Long time no post I think this is probably my first video game remix in forever, and I'm super stoked about it. I know there have been tons of undertale remixes but here is my entry into the foray haha Really hope you guys enjoy it!

  6. I don't wanna be cut from the album, especially since I think the WIP is pretty advanced. Just had a hard time finding (making) time due to some other obligations. I'll bump it up on the priority list and expect a checkin with progress in a week or 2. Dat gud?

  7. What the heck, I clicked to make a post and it had text from 2013 in here that never got posted. It looked good too. I should have posted that stuff, it's gone now though. Anyway, Sagnew is right. He didn't send me a final WAV of his battle theme though, so he's a dirty, dirty liar! The dirtiest, I'm afraid. I cut 1 song, labeled 3 for potential cut. These folks need to check in, I'll try to contact them as a last resort before making the real cut. Apart from that I was/am serious about cutting stuff and getting stuff moving, even though we're probably looking at 2017 release at this point. Better early than late or even 2018. As time goes on and people promise stuff then don't deliver, the choice to cut stuff gets a bit less hard unfortunately. Hopefully I can fill in a gap or two.

  8. Thanks DjPretzel! That's super exciting new everyone !!! Let's keep moving this album to the finish! As a reminder, the June 30th Deadline is approaching as well. Thanks for the hard work everyone! Edit: The Final WIP Date will be extended out by several months as well

  9. Few ideas: "I'm On a Boat!" (okay lolz... but not terrible) "The Young Man and the Sea" (play on Hemingway) "King of Red Lions" (obvious, but that doesn't make it bad) "After the Flood" "Songs of the Great Sea" (also obvious, but pretty intuitive... perhaps my favorite) "Sailing" (minimalist, keep-it-simple option)

  10. Hi folks If anyone is trying to claim something, please send me an audition of your best work in a PM -- not something quickly thrown together, but something that really demonstrates your potential to deliver a quality finished song! To everyone who posted WIPs, THANK YOU!! Everyone please check out that subforum and share some feedback. I'll get around to that at some point too. Right now I'm overwhelmed with work. Going 7am to 11pm tomorrow, it's not pretty. Very much tired I'll probably make one of those mass PMs to inform people of the next WIP date when I feel a little better Protricity who had claimed "The Stage is Set" dropped his claim because he said the Orlando attack was a false flag and I said he's gotta grow out of conspiracy theories. I guess that made him mad. Transparency! I'll hopefully get in touch with people who want to make claims soon, but like I said, if you're not posted, please send an audition of your BEST work!

  11. This isn't dead or cancelled, it's just not going really fast, and that's OK. Albums are 100% dependent on the input of the artists, but in this case I'm not even 100% sure of what we're going to have or what direction it's going to go. It would be great if the involved remixers continue to finish up their stuff, and I can get a better picture of where we are and what we'll have, and begin filling in blanks with new artists and my own mixes as well. For a single disc this shouldn't be too hard. We're not trying to hit some anniversary date as far as I know, so a little extra love and time laid aside won't hurt!

  13. We've seen a little of it. Some of the Shrines contain Runes, and the way the bombs and the magnet thing work definitely would have put them in true dungeons in a traditional Zelda game. We've seen bows and the Fire Rod just lying around in random places. It'll be interesting to see if you need certain items to beat certain dungeons--it could be frustrating to have to track down the one shrine out of a hundred that has the right thing. The developers have made it really clear that the overworld isn't going to have Metroid-style roadblocks in it. I haven't played Link Between Worlds yet, but it may take cues from that. Because you're right? I mean, I think it's fun to theorize, but we all know Nintendo came up with this whole multi-timeline explanation way after the fact. There are a few references in the games that say something about a chronological order, especially Ocarina of Time through Spirit Tracks, and the Vaati/Four Sword stories, but most of the others are either completely disconnected or "This guy used to be the hero in a previous adventure of some sort." If Nintendo ever does put Breath of the Wild into the chronology in some official way, you know it's something they came up with late into its development at best, and possibly not even before it was finished.

  14. Wh... why are you people agreeing with me? Why are you liking my post? I said it was an unpopular opinion! You're supposed to hate me now!

  15. I'm pretty much with you. The timeline stuff is completely ancillary to the games themselves and (barring a few obvious links-- er, connections, like OOT -> MM), it's honestly not at all relevant to the games. (I also think the official timeline is stupid because it requires time travel to work differently than we actually see it work in OOT, but whatever. That's also ancillary to the games.) Personally, I'm looking forward to see how the new stuff in Breath of the Wild is going to change the standard Zelda experience. Is it just going to be "look for some fruit to eat instead of slicing up grass and smashing pots to find hearts"? Or is it going to be a more profound change than that? The various (breakable!) weapons is definitely going to be sizable change, but I'm not sure yet whether that's going to be in place of or in addition to a more standard "beat dungeons, get key items, use in the overworld" Zelda formula.

  16. Added my WIP to the project forum. Pretty happy with it, but I find myself in need of somebody who is willing to lay down some relaxed acoustic guitar strumming for me in 3/4. Any takers?

  17. I would like to join the project and do a mix of 'Starting Up'. It doesn't appear to have been claimed yet. I have had a track on another remix project, I don't know if that counts as having a remix posted. Though, I don't mind submitting an audition Edit: ...or maybe 'Starting Up' isn't supposed to be part of the project...?

  18. Hey guys, Jeremy and I are excited to be a part of this project. I've made progress on the Overture but am not comfortable releasing a demo yet. I will soon-ish. -Derek

  20. An audition for me meant me sending links of my best work to the album director and get their feedback and approval to tackle an album song. So typically you do the audition first and don't start working on a track already. By the looks of it all tracks for the album are already claimed (I see no empty slots in the first post), but there seems to be an option to discuss unclaimed track. Either way, contact the album director(s) About n00bness... I'm not aware of any guides but I was a n00b 2 years ago too and usually people are friendly enough to help out if you ask nicely

  21. I know it's really late in the game but... maybe you should consider renaming the album? There will be a lot of confusion with Breath of the Wild with the current name.

  22. Made decent progress with my WIP today (3 minute-ish), but it's pretty rough and I'd like to sit on it a few days more to polish it up a bit. I'll post it in the forums next weekend.
