  1. it's only tentative right now but yeah, after we get all the tracks done, I get the final album art done + find Somebody to do the album trailer, the website will go live. so we not only need an album title, we also need a domain name(leave the hosting stuff to me). I was thinking www.piecesofcourage.net what do you think?

  7. Always fun to see someone playing the parts. The video and audio doesn't seem entirely synched, but that's not so important here. I'm not a fan of the guitar tone. It's a bit whiny, and seems off-key sometimes. I like the industrial sound here, the combination of sounds and aesthetics from different genres. Well done.

  8. BRO! I will start by saying that I love this interpretation. Good job. I don't think the source material is anything I would have ever touched, but you have changed my mind. And now the criticism: I think the drums are mixed too far forward. I cant't understand anything going on the guitar at climactic moments until it is the feature later in the arrangement. Let the voices all have an equal say throughout the tune! Your slapping technique is vastly different from mine and I would love to talk with you about how you do it - its super defined and I want to hear your wisdom in that regard. - Aaron -

Sonic 4 sucked because they had DIMPS work on it. I should probably point out...Whitehead/Headcannon's "ports" were not ports. The games were straight-up rewritten from the ground up. There are two ways this can go wrong: level design and physics, and Sonic 4 got both utterly wrong. The physics part is covered by Whitehead & Headcannon's experience with the remakes - level design is the big issue I think, but level design also relies a lot on how the physics work, so even if the level designers suck, the game will likely play better than any of Sonic 4 did anyway. EDIT: To better explain why this is awesome: these two dudes are known as Stealth and Taxman over on Sonic Retro. They were extremely active players in the Sonic hacking community and made some really impressive proof-of-concepts (IIRC this includes an actual GBA port of Sonic 1 that was superior than the actual thing Sega put out). They got hired by Sega to handle the remakes of Sonic 1, 2, and CD. Apparently a project they were working on, Sonic Megamix, got unceremoniously cancelled in favor of something else they were working on - which has now turned out to be this!

  12. So the first check in date is coming up in 8 days, next Sunday, July 31st. We've heard from a few people but no updates from @GaMeBoX, @zykO, @WillRock, @DusK, @wildfire, @Lucasonic, @generaloffensive, @Bowlerhat and @jnWake so far, so I guess this reminder is mostly for them If you have a WIP, want feedback or need any other kind of help, make sure to let me and Black_Doom know. Thanks and good luck!

  14. I'd be happy to take S3 credits, but it wouldn't be orchestral (which I believe is what @Black_Doom was hoping for). What I'm envisioning would be "uplifting" or "epic" trance, like this: Armin van Buuren - Love You More feat. Racoon or maybe more like this: Conjure One - Extraordinary Way (Antillas Club Remix) My track wouldn't have any vocals though, and my buildups/breakdowns wouldn't be *quite* so long, lol (I wouldn't be going for the full "club"/"DJ" experience here, although I may make a separate "club edit" similar to what was done with Super Cartography Bros). It'd probably have more elements of progressive trance, as well (along the lines of Above & Beyond's most recent "artist" album, We Are All We Need).
