Comments Real awesome turnout, which convinced me to slacken the new rule in place, ever so slightly. Gonna be interesting to see how MnP evolves. Or de-evolves. Thanks for the awesome turnout guys and for everyone voting too!

  2. Sounds absolutely lovely I recognized some of the in-game ambiance throughout which really added to the authenticity. It's very close to the original source material as a whole, but you've done such a lovely job giving it a bit more immediacy and warmth. It's always a joy listening to your music.

  3. Just when you thought Hateno couldn't get any more serene or homey. I admit, I was pleased to hear Zelda's Lullaby fitted into this. Your delicate attention to detail never ceases to amaze. Great work as always.

  4. I hate to double-post myself, but there is some big news regarding album development. This album trilogy has had a history of collaborating with the Dwelling of Duels, and so, September 2020 is the OC ReMix Crossover FF3 Month! If you main a live instrument, go check it out - if you take part and you decide to send it to OCR's submissions queue, the evaluation will get fast-tracked. Any track from the game can be chosen, though there are still some uncovered spots on the OST (including some not even listed in the OP) that would be nice to have some representation. Talking of which - during this past month, @bluelighterhas made claims on not one, but two tracks! He has finished his take on "Crystal Tower" (with added usage for Tower of Owen), and is wrapping up an arrangement of "Ancient's Village" at this current moment. I am delighted to have a talented classical-inspired arranger jump in! If you're a potentially interested arranger, you're more than welcome to send a PM to me here on the forums or in the OCR Discord if you'd like to make a claim yourself outside of the DoD event. I wish all participants there the best of luck, and hype for some great tunes! x)

  5. I prefer the funk tracks in this OST to the metal inspired ones, this one ranks highly. I like your interpretation of it. the part at 2:20 mins roughly( the pitch slides), very nice! I'd consider tarting up 1:20 mins in a bit. maybe some voice doubling or simulated delay, something. Good Job! <waffle>as an aside, i sometimes think, when listening to this track from the OST that you can hear the stylistic shift from Thunder Force 3 to 4. the Chorus part sounds like it could be from 3, then the rest leading up to it is the new techniques/ style. </waffle>

  6. It's fun listening to this one in a similar way to my enjoying the Secret of Mana OCR album - this is not something I bring any childhood/teenage nostalgia for, and since I didn't "do the splash hop" of finding the translated version over the long years it existed, I don't have any adult experience of it either. I plan to correct this eventually with the Switch version! But for now listening to it is neat to experience the music and imagine where the source would happen in the game. I'm glad I read the director's comment at the top because you can certainly hear the way that the pieces here straddle eras of this site with who was involved and what the mixes sound like. "Oh, that's X's style from Y older album" occurred to me a handful of times throughout. The way that different themes appear in multiple mixes is also a distinct thing for this album and it helps give a "whole game" feel rather than just tracks that are lined up in the order you come across them in the plot. I like it. World journeys certainly are part of the game experience from that era. I'm intrigued to play both Secret and Legend of Mana after listening to both of these albums to hear how much the music has in common between the two games since it's hard not to notice what I, knowing nothing, have come to think of as the "main theme" of Mana (from 1-01 of the Secret album here) popping up in at least four different tracks for the SD3 album.

  7. Gundam Wing Endless Duel is an amazing game with an amazing soundtrack that doesn't get nearly enough love because it wasn't officially released outside Japan. Excellent work with this remix!

  8. Just FYI everyone, the rendering errors were all on my end and had to do with issues with my Lynx card. With the help of my computer-expert friend, I was able to solve that issue today, which is a huge weight off my shoulders as well as finally getting this track sounding the way it should! It's a beautiful track and I enjoyed working on it!
