Heh; for some reason I thought that the weekend scrim was yesterday, and that I had to miss it Glad to see that 1) there's something for me to do tonight, and 2) everyone isn't pissed at me for not showing up! EDIT: Of course, having posted this, something came up here in Minneapolis, and I couldn't make it. ugh.

I'm caught up finally -- looking forward to Decade 25 and Shinkenger 21 to wrap up the crossover!

Listening to disc3 / bonus tracks now, and they are just as good as the first two discs. Absolutely amazing work, everyone!

I said upon hearing the completed version for the first time that it sounds like Carl Orff meets modern rock -- We singers had no idea about the fusion of styles involved when we did the parts, but this has turned out to be exceptional.

No one mentioned Ecco: Defenders of the Universe? One of my college roommates raved about it for DC.

I have a meeting at 7:30 EST, but may be back on the 23rd to play by 9. If there isn't a slot left, I'll spectate and love it. DEFINITELY free on the 26th.

I'm going to have a Decade marathon when I get back from the reunion on Monday -- looking forward to seeing the crossover!

I can make almost any evening work -- I'll be entirely free in a month, when summer weekends come to an end. Thursday evenings would work the best for me, but I'm good for anything.

As long as events are available in the States, I'm game for them and won't cheat. But things like e-reader or Japan specific stuff was complete BS -- the biggest example IMO was SMB3 on the GBA requiring crazy e-reader things to access the cool levels.

^Meh -- getting events normally unavailable is what the action replay is for. Just grab the flute that you need for said event, and win.

I'm also gone for July 4th, but am available most evenings after that. I'm in and out of town on weekends, so they are hit or miss depending -- if I will be home, then I'm free. I think Highlander would be fun as hell also, but would do 6v6.

If no one has mentioned Crystalis, then everyone in this thread is a failure. Best overhead zelda-style game for NES hands-down.

Lots of potential, but IMO still too much cash for too little reward. Even if it was better than a mouse instead of "just as good, but with force feedback" it'd have to cost the same as a decent gaming mouse before mainstream gamers would buy it. That being said, how is it Dhsu?

He has an updated version that I highly recommend, as it includes a track from Twilight Princess. Great stuff here!

I really enjoy pieces subtle enough to really encourage listening not just a 2nd time, but a piece that I find something new the 6th and 7th times I listen. This is one of those pieces -- a triumph for both yourself and OCR. Congratulations, and I'm looking forward to what you do next!

The M-Audio keyboards come recommended from me as well if you're more interested in sequencing than actually playing the piano. I haven't used the one Harmony recommended specifically, but it looks just fine. One more resource I'd invite you to read through is zircon's keyboard purchasing guide -- it may give you further insight into what you really want.

If you're getting something to learn how to play the piano (which is what I'm hearing from your post), then I suggest getting decent touch-sensitivity above any other features. Also, for actually learning to play, you'll want 61-keys or more; the full piano is 88 keys but may be out of your price range. I don't have a keyboard in that price range to recommend for you -- my advice is to go to a music store that sells pianos and ask a sales rep how much bang you'll get for your buck. I just bought a piano, and we got a better deal instore than we found online, as the instore package came with a bench, pedal set, and two extra pedals at no extra cost.
