Agreed. You need buttons, at least a couple of them. And this is a sad day for 360 owners... So many of them assumed MGS4 would be ported because they think Microsoft owns the color green and the GIANT power button. Maybe another day.
-
Why is everyone assuming it's for the 360? The Wii and PS3 also use the same power button, and both have a green light when turned on. Hell, my laptop, my work laptop, and my work desktop have a shining green power button. It's pretty universal. 360 owners shouldn't give their hopes up for MGS4.

Do yourself a favor and play Sands of Time. You don't have to play the entire Trilogy, just SoT. The story, characters, and storytelling are some of the best I've ever encountered in a videogame. And the game is actually somewhat challenging. It's truly a classic that you shouldn't miss out on. Anyway, I haven't picked up this new PoP yet, mostly because I've been quite disappointed with Ubisoft Montreal's more recent games. So far, its sounding like I'll be disappointed in this as well. I'll probably rent it when I find the time though.
-
Well, I have to admit that the same thing happened to me. Except in my case I asked to participate. I know for certain that I won't be able to hit my WIP deadline this month, so please open the song up for grabs. I'll still work on the song, because I have a few ideas that I'd like to expand on, but it will be more of a personal project when I can find the time. Sorry.

Well, I've already logged 7 hours into a demo. That's pretty insane. Anyway, if you see me online, I'll probably be down for a game, unless I'm already in one.
-
Well, I wouldn't want to be the opinion that discourages you from playing the game. But I'd definitely rent it before getting it, if you're considering it at all. It got great reviews from the big reviewers, but it seems like users didn't like it quite as much.

What do you mean? Have you played Far Cry 2? The whole driving for miles and constantly respawning guard posts killed any enjoyment I was getting from the game. That and the missions are pretty much all the same. I just couldn't take it anymore. That said, I think that both Assassin's Creed and Far Cry 2 had some great ideas, but they just fell short due to repetition and bad level/quest design. Seeing that the new PoP is going for the whole "open world" approach, I'm very hesitant.
-
I'm hesitant. Ubisoft Montreal has been doing terrible lately. I thought that Assassin's Creed was average, and Far Cry 2 was terrible. I'll definitely be renting this first, but I'm hoping for the best, since SoT was one of my favorite games ever.

Totally getting this. I'm down to play tonight, just IM me.

I used to work out when I was in college for about 2 years. I didn't feel like I got the greatest results, but I did feel healthy. I haven't been working out for about 6 months (6 months out of college) and I'm starting to feel like crap. Work has been taking it's toll. I've been eating like shit I've been getting aching muscles and creaky bones, so this week I decided to get back into my regular workout routine. I only have access to free weights though. Anyone got any good tips? I'm mostly interested in getting toned and just staying and feeling healthy.

It was definitely fun, though I felt like I was playing Gears of War 1 the entire time. I guess there's not much room to improve on the original. Co-op makes the game for me. I don't think it's nearly as fun playing it single-player. I haven't had a chance to play multiplayer, since I don't own the game (or a 360 for that matter).

Very much appreciated! Still wondering if I want to wait for Black Friday, or if I should just run out and buy a PS3 tonight. I really want to play this game.
-
Does anyone have the real full version in a decent bitrate? I am sad!
-
It was leaked? I bought it off of amazon's store. It was released a couple days ago. http://www.amazon.com/Still-Mirrors-Remixes-American-Version/dp/B001IA85RG/ref=pd_bbs_5?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1226528849&sr=8-5 And I still want the real full version. The one that is a little over 5 minutes and has a real ending. And I want it in non-shitty quality. I feel that I'm entitled to it because I actually bought the thing. I am pretty upset, I feel cheated.

I just grabbed the "Still Alive" EP. Where the hell is my "full version" of the damn song? The "full version" that is included on the EP is cut a minute short with a fadeout ending. I don't like the way it's mastered either, compared the the versions I've heard on Youtube. What gives?

Sale: Far Cry 2 (PC Version, pretty much brand new, all packaging included) - $20 Want: Nothing really. Edit: Changed price from $30 to $20.

Yup, the delay of this game for the PC means that I'll be buying a PS3 (finally). I played the demo at my friend's. It was amazing. More games need to be like this. It feels mature, yet the premise is not about killing people. If the entire game lives up to the demo, this will be my personal GotY. This and Little Big Planet were enough to sway my decision. Should I wait for Black Friday? It'll be hard for me to do that... Oh, and Still Alive = amazing.

This is cool. I like the quotes used. It adds a lot to the mix. The progression is nice and the beats are hot. Nothing wrong from an arrangement standpoint. I agree that it's a bit rough around the edges. I feel that it gets a bit overbearingly noisy and grainy at times. I think that you could bring some of the effects back a notch. This bothered me a lot more on my high quality headphones than my crappy earbuds, so it's definitely the high ends. Nice work. I look forward to that album! Also - you left out Beatdrop as a "sounds like". This reminds me more of his work than the ones you mentioned. =p

I'm officially onboard! I'm really excited, as I see this a great opportunity to enhance my skills. I'll probably be picking up some decent samples and different software. Thanks for letting me onboard! I'll do my best not to disappoint.

Are there any games that play with your phobias?
PlastikBag replied to Malaki-LEGEND.sys's topic in General Discussion
I too, have aquaphobia. Deep sea aquaphobia. Vast, empty waters scare me. Ecco the Dolphin used to scare the crap out of me when I was young, not so much anymore though. Recently I was playing Crysis, thinking that I had pretty much mastered my fear of deep waters, I went pretty far out. Unknowingly, I got attacked by a very realistic looking shark and then I proceeded to never do that again. -
Adding to my bundle of WIPs: http://blabstation.net/jerry/Progress/Track6.mp3 This is probably the darkest stuff I've written. I'll probably finish all of these plus some more and make an album of sorts.

I have no idea of what song I'd want to audition for, so I'll listen up and see if I find something that I think would suit my style.
-
I might be up for this. I loved Skies of Arcadia and its fantastic soundtrack. I've never remixed before, but I do a lot of original stuff.

Siamey - Going Away album release on Protagonist Records
PlastikBag replied to Siamey's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, that was me (or maybe someone else too). I requested a sample to replace my Audix case. They sent it out pretty quick. Its free! I recommend doing that before requesting sgx to replace it with cases that he paid for Also, I've been listening to this most of the day at work. It gives me a chance to listen to it a little bit closer. I think RedFusion's comments are quite accurate. This stuff is just fun. Its a great blend of videogame style melodies, and electronic elements. A lot of tasteful use of drumloops too (I think I recognized some drumloops, I may be wrong). -

Just gave it a listen. Very interesting stuff. It definitely has a very distinct style, which is nice. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
