    The lead's very bassy, I'd do a liberal low cut on it to filter out the mud. Will leave more space for the other instruments. Interesting tune, I like it.

    I think the drums could be a bit groovier, and have fills and stuff. Also, the constant pad kind of makes for an unchanging sound, a more dynamic arrangement would be sweet. It seems like it has great potential. I never got a chance to play anything past X4, shame they didn't release the other ones for the PC.

    I get obsessed with Diablo 2 like once a year. God I HATE that game. Zelda: OoT is a perennial fave.

    It seemed very bassy to me, and these headphones are very light on the bass. The beat is cool, everything's just muddled up a bit.

    Started playing Earthbound again the other day.. The first third of the song basically sounds like the original with better instruments. The soloing is cool though.

    You trying to use General MIDI output? Playing GM in Sonar is weird, I find you have to select MME drivers (WDM is the default). Then once you exit and come back, Microsoft GM Synth (or something) should be available as an audio output. Otherwise, you have to patch MIDI tracks to corresponding synths or samplers for them to work.

    EWQL is better for 'epic' stuff, GPO is better for 'intimate' stuff. imo.

    Are you talking about the sine lead that is used a lot? It's just a basic sine wave, you can do it any synth. Just eq to taste and add some delay and stuff.

    The guitar timing seems a little off, but other than that it's a swell mix full of energy.

    The Metroid Prime sounds are pretty basic... sine leads, analog drum kits, simple pads, etc.

    ProTools is VASTLY overrated, and expensive. The only reason it's the industry standard is 15 years ago there wasn't anything else. The only reason studios use these days it cuz they've invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in it.

    I recently played and finished Tales of Symphonia. It's a superb game, and had some sweet music. Looks like this project is almost done, good luck on finishing it.

    Don't see how it's scary or will encourage a lack of skill. You could say that about every single electrical or electronic piece of music gear or software.

    Criminey that's a good deal. Shame all the new products require dongles. I will never ever buy music software that requries a dongle.
