Is it just me or is this guy really messed up?
Dyne replied to BluefoxIcy's topic in General Discussion
That I didn't know, however, bluefox not knowing who Vai is, is laughable at best. At worst, it shows just how much he DOESN'T know. So, there you have it. Also bluefox, that wasn't to flame you...entirely...just to get you to wake up to the bigger picture, and make less crapfest type posts. Also, listen to Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, Albert King, Muddy Waters (YES, THAT IS THE NAME OF ONE OF THE GREAT BLUES PLAYERS OF ALL TIME), and others. You need to broaden your musical horizons, also, move out of your parents house... NOW. -
Happy Birthday, McVaffe, nice work on the remix! Welcome back to the fold...we've got cookies.

...from a qualified person. Shouldn't take much to figure out what that means. Anyway, I want to improve what singing voice I do have right now, and I'm not really sure where to start (as a matter of fact, I wasn't quite sure where to place this thread, so it's here in Comm. until someone from staff moves it, if at all). So, basically, I wanted to know what's involved in singing, what I need to know, maybe some idea of ways I'm supposed to breathe, things to keep in mind, what kind of environment is conducive to singing properly, etc... So please, help. Thanks.

I don't know what you're smoking, or if you're just tonally deficient, but this is one of the best remixes to come out of OCR this year. And I'm not just saying that because zircon's a judge. Both zircon and sixto have skills that complement each other, and this mix is no exception. Now you're entitled to your opinion, however, I think you should listen to the remix a few more times and just listen to listen, don't listen to critique. Take some time to appreciate the mix for what it is; music.

Awesome collabs like this are once in a great while. This remix kicks major ass. Nice work guys, nice work indeed. :nicework::nicework:

Rock. Happy Birthday you who are metal as fuck.

Today is your birthday, I hope it's a happy one filled with good times, and loads of beer! Also, for those of you out there who've yet to hear any of Game Over's music, check out the Remixes here on OCR by clicking here.

Hm. I would suggest this -> http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00349/.

I'm a maybe, with a possible tentative yes. (you can thank Escariot for changing my mind)

I won't be making it. Sorry, I have my reason.

Hmm... a saturday with DrumUltima and Pixietricks. (I bet zircon's in!) I'll give it some thought and get back to you.

Dhsu, I'm looking to either find or make similar background and button style images to OCR's, except I have a more specific color set I'm going to be working with though. I just need to find the styles first. But yeah, that's pretty much it.

I'm in the process of designing and building a web site (it's a rather secret, solo project), and I'm wondering what I'm going to do about graphics. I know that eventually, I'm going to need to have graphics on a scale like OCR has. I'm not a skilled graphic artist, so I'd like to get some input as to how I can go about creating these graphics. I'm also looking for a little help with the CSS involved (Cascading Style Sheets for those that don't know). Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

You know, he'll never EVER back off. He's just that kind asshat.

Congradulations! I'm very happy for you tweek, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

The one other thing I do like is the addition of the Chiptunes tab. I'll have to check out some old NES/SNES/GBA games to see what it looks like for sure, but that right there is also awesome.
-
Very nicely done. Very clean layout.

My suggestion would be to take a trip to KVR Audio's web site (http://www.kvraudio.com) and look for some leads that way. You'll find all kinds of great things there that I'm sure you could use. Otherwise, the percussion on this track is tight. Don't touch it, it's perfect.

I'd say 9pm sunday. I'd definitely be up for that.

Listen, do you want a good amp? Something cheap, but playable with good tone and onboard effects? Go get yourself a Line6 Spider 15 watt amp for $99. You can find it at Sam Ash, Guitar Center I'm sure carries it, as does Musician's Friend or whatever. Seriously. I have one, and it's awesome, I paid $99 for it. You're not breaking the bank, and you're getting effects too in one package. Also...if you want to play louder than that, there's a Spider III available as well in a 4x12 package, but that's closer to $400 or $500 (I don't know what the price is exactly, that's either a little high or a little low).

Can someone recommend me a new guitar?
Dyne replied to Lunahorum's topic in Music Composition & Production
Changed my mind about what i was originally going to say, however, bluefox, before you dole out advice, play longer than a month please. Also, I have an Ibanez Acoustic guitar, and I love the tone on it. Got it two years ago, and haven't looked back. It's really all up to your own personal preference as to what you yourself want. However, as I've learned over the years, you're looking for good action and tight tone. -
There is only ONE Philly Cheese Steak, and it's made only in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia, Pa, BABY! (If you haven't tried one, do it.)

You know what, keep these ideas coming guys. One day I might just make very good use of these!

If you're really interested in doing that, let me know. I could make a web page out of it for everyone to see.
