Mmmmm.....so chill. Reminds me incredibly of Ulrich Schnauss, except a little bit more upbeat. Soothing pads all the way, and very appropriate processing with the delays, reverb, and of course, the reversing you put on some of the sound. Chimes are gorgeous, and effective glitchy stuff in the middle. I'm pretty sure that's a live guitar I'm hearing in there at parts, and it's smooth as butter. Added to my "Chill out vibes" playlist. Rock on!

This was probably one of my favorite, if not my favorite, song off of the SotD album, mostly because of the guitar work. Not much to say really, as it's the same level of quality as the rest of the album. Cool rhythms!

It's fine, 9 out of 10 people go through that stage. Just like everyone is a forum n00b at one point or another, it only took you time to get where you are (and it DID push you to keep pushing yourself harder and higher than your original expectations, didn't it? Did the same for so many others). And I'm really glad you made it to this point! While I can hear some issue with compression about midway through (the bass is really powerful and is causing a meshing of all the sound when all the song is going full force), I'm definitely digging what you've done here. Also gets a little repetitive at times but that gives it the feeling of background music. The synths are cool though. I'm looking forward to seeing where you grow, musically, from here. Congrats and nice work.

What do you get when you mix two of the chippy-est remixers together for a track? Well, usually you end up with a lot of empty potato chip bags, but that's not the case here. As always, great use of stutter and glitch effects throughout, and really appropriate choice of leads and pad support. Production couldn't be better for the feeling I believe the remixers were trying to evoke. A perfect blend of the two peoples, since I can't tell who did what, and even if I could, it doesn't matter anyway. ....umm...good job!

I don't think I have much else to add besides this. The vocal clips are awesome, and this is just...I have to call it FRESH. What you got here is a FRESH mix, fresher than salad. Me likey.

Mmm thems is fine gritty drums der. Purdy! You know, I always thought that the underground theme was better in SMB3, because I could actually understand the phrase now that it had a beat. Cool pick for the version of the source. Can't say I'm the biggest fan of such an abrasive middle-focused guitar tone, but it sounds a lot better once it has the low-end covered after the first phrase. The synth accompaniment is pretty catchy, reminds me a bit of some of Pitchshifter's work. Nice wanky solo. The drums sound a little bit too weak when every instrument is going full throttle, but that's not enough to take away from the mix as a whole. Nice industrial rocks feel. I enjoyed it!

I played SimCity 2000 a few times. Only for the disasters, though. MAN was it awesome to unleash an alien on a really big city. And just like Vinnie, I cheated like a mofo at it just to get satisfaction (mostly because I didn't understand how to actually play the game). Regardless, this took me back and I decided to go listen to the source tunes again. Wonderful trip down memory lane there. I have to echo the TOO SHORT criticism. You really could have gone on for at least another minute or two with what you had without overstaying your welcome, because the groove you mustered up with this makes me salivate for more. The guitar and bass riffs are so tasty, shaft-style. Love the stereo you used on the guitar hard-panning. You processed them very very well, just like the rest of the mix. Nice use of percussion too. This is one of those mixes that keeps my attention just because of how it is layered. Kickass song, dudes. Keep it up, I can't wait to hear more.

The arrangement sounds like a less-goofy Danny Elfman, and I'm DIGGING IT LIKE CRAZY. I've listened to the original source quite a few times since Rob Hubbard is one of the main highlights of having a C64 music player on the iPhone, and this does wonders to represent a different imagination of it. I can still feel the pressure that the original source tune evoked. The sounds you used are absolutely top notch, and while the mix is a bit repetitive at one point or another, so is the source, so you kinda stayed true to the feeling of it. Lopping this on my "Best of - Orchestral" playlist.

Most of the projects aren't going to come out for ages, no matter how close they are to done. I wouldn't bother pestering.

Oh hey, I just noticed this! My bad for taking a week to see this and respond. If you have any questions about OCAD stuff in the future, please post them in our OCAD thread, located here: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=26119 Anyways, for the OCAD Special Chapters 1-16 we basically used the entire Chrono Symphonic project as the backing tracks, with one or two other mixes in at the end because the project didn't stretch as long as the audio did. The project was played in-order, and you can get all the tracks from the project site (which has torrents and direct downloads): http://chrono.ocremix.org/ When we get all the My Immortal chapters done (they've been sprinkled through specials, regular OCAD episodes, and Nerdy Show), there will be a massive re-edit of all the chapters together. I owe Gario for all the feedback and critiquing he's done for me in the WIP forums. He's one of the people who's helped me grow to where I am today. If it were a lesser man, I would pass this up. My hotel is booked Sunday through Wednesday (I check out Wednesday). I'm about to book my flights. Needless to say, this is my ideal way to celebrate my (early) 25th birthday.
