Level 99

Yeah, we're not gonna be doing this. We have some episodes where we already have two guests on, but those cases its 99% because they have something to do with each other. Even then we have a long list. I like the random cohost chatter, but you see where I try to move things along.This podcast has always been, to me, taking people and things about the community and talking about them both related to the community and not. How else would we have found out Luiza's deathly afraid of coconut crabs? Or about Juan Lords' bLiNd remix and the coneydogs? Random chatter is part of what makes this OCAD! Now, back to planning more randomness. Also, we're confirmed for Chad this week. I'm gonna go figure out what the hell Captain S was before he comes on so I don't look too stupid. Edit: just to clarify, we like giving guests their time to shine, unless they have something tied in together. For example, we're slated to have Fishy and The Damned on together in anticipation of The Missingno Tracks, and we have Palpable and diotrans on together because of Flickerfall. You get the idea.

Well, it's not my project, I'm just on it. But looking at the list, the badass villain tunes that are present on bad dudes right now are: Mario Kirby Just trying to be preemptive, is all. I don't think anyone really complains about having MORE REMIXES, but in light of the multitude of projects, it's just good to check on these things. Some of those matchings look epic.

Currently kicking some ass back in gear on my own side to get more interactive with the WIP development. A few months from next WIP date but it looks like a few might be finalized before then. And I need to actually follow through with the people I asked about a sig banner! YARGH!

Any possible way there can be something to prevent too much overlap with the BadAss project? Or is this more of a "the more the merrier" on all themes thing?

I just PMed the members of the Muffins. We're taking this baby TO DA MOOOOOOOON! We're taking this approach multi-song. Whether or not the roster will be exactly as it is now, I can not say. What I can say is this is most definitely not that last song you'll hear us be doing. It is only the beginning.

This would explain all the hazing we get in the locker room by all the junior and senior podcasts, while the sophomore podcasts look on in apparent apathy to our plight and the administration podcasts pretend not to know about it. Right now, we're still waiting to hear from Spencer Nilsen about when he'd be able to come on, and looking at my notes, we have Chad Williams from Captain S tentatively scheduled for Thursday of this week. Once I hear from David confirming Chad and Deven giving info on Spencer, we'll let you know. Halc already knows the deal for using it: we're still subbing as a non-project mix when it's finished, but we're gonna be subbing the clean version. Looks like most of the Muffins have spoken. The aye's have it: Milkyway will be able to include this song. I like the idea of submitting the clean version to OCR and having the dirty version on the album/elsewhere. We're gonna go with that plan probably. I will now go back to having daydreams of an OC Plaid Muffins album...*content sigh*

Well, what an interesting turn of events... Halc messaged me yesterday about the recently cancelled then revived Milkyway Wishes project asking if Ska Buffet could be on it. I told him a tentative yes, pending the Muffins members don't object. We'd still post the final up here before submitting, and we'd be submitting to OCR as a non-project mix, meaning that if/when accepted, this mix would be allowed to be posted before the project came out. Furthermore, it would be on the project album when it does come out. Therefore, I open the floor to any objections by the Muffins, though I can't see why anyone would have any. It's like having song be extra featured, but I'm taking the safe route and clearing it before I say yes. So, what say you, Muffins?

o_o Umm. Yeah. Cyril, I'm sorry. But Luiza's vocals are...well, let's just say I need an entire new wardrobe now. She did a lot of ad-libbing and crazy vocal effects, layering, and tons of other just crazy stuff. I don't even want post it. So it's official, Luiza will be doing the vocals! And the new bass part is sexy as hell to! Changing roster in OP...

Got it, didn't get to listen before I left for work this morning though. Luiza also got me her takes for vocals, which I have yet to hear as well. I'll do some test encoding for the MP3s to see if that 320 MP3 is going to hold up quality-wise through export and reencoding, otherwise I may just ask you for a WAV. Now all we need are the brass parts and vocal harmonies (edit: and Cyril's takes for comparison!). Oh, and PR: if you read this before I get to send a message, can you send me the sound files for the Kirby SFX you had at the end? I have the timing down for the spacing but I just don't have the SFX. Tried playing something acoustic-wise last night. If it does end up working, it's not going to be one of the easier parts I've ever had to play!

How about the section from 2:29 to 2:40, and it'll be an acoustic guitar solo followed by acoustic rhythmic playing until the drums come back in? I'd have to play with it a bit, but I love the trumpet solo too much to take time away from it.
