  1. VERY smooth remix. Not very radical, instead it just do its own thing by letting the organ talk along with some drums and electric piano. Calm as the midnight itself, when everything goes to sleep except for the stars in the sky. And owls of course, but that's not the point. Chill and groovy stuff from jcd, you can really feeeeel the love tonight.
  2. Yes, more piano remixes, can't get nuff of them. I didn't know what song the remix was from, I has a hard time with names, but as soon as I recognized it, I knew this would be a beautiful arrangement. It began as I said, beautiful. Jus one piano at the scene, playing the beginning tunes to the melody. No complaints there, sounds to be a good type of piano. Then later, came the drums. I thought it began abruptly, although I had read pretzel's review that there was drums in this piece, it all just started to quickly with the drums and cymbals at the same time with strings. It looses after a couple of seconds, but it just bothered me. The strings may have sound too loud since I couldn't hear much of the lower piano keys, but this was a fine and excellent played session. Great work guys!
  3. I'm not very familiar with Russian music, but i can't say no to a remix from Robson. There's a whole lot of strings in this arrangement, I can say that, and I liked the flute that this remix began with. Although I don't know much of Russian orchestra, I still felt that Jeremy captured the feeling with the strings he used. They didn't always play a certain note, they played more randomly, like if you listened to a swarm of flies. This whole arrangement made me think of those huge danes the tsars used to arrange, a giant hall where the nobles did their dance on the floor with some fine classical music to dance to. It almost makes you forget that this is actually a remix. I did however recognize the happy melody of "Can you fly, sister?", it got a very beautiful feeling to it when the flutes played it. Yeah, that's SD3 alright.
  4. I thought it was weird when this site didn't hve a MM7 remix, now we finally got one. Doesn't sound too old for me, the string samples sounds perfectly fine, and there's isn't a problem with the synths and beats. The loud drum in the back may sound weird along with the rest of the arrangement, but it works for some reason. I can't figure out the genre of this remix either. It's both sneaky and fast-paced at some points, and it's both techno and orchestra. I don't know what it is, but it sounds good.
  5. Very sad remix, the strings along with the..., let's call it flute, made this arrangement sound really beautiful. It builds up by adding instrument by instrument, and the cycle repeats in the middle of it. This would fit quite well in a movie where the character thinks about his past (remix title, hint hint) and thinks about the pain he may have suffered or made someone else suffer. As I said, a very sad remix, almost makes me wanna cry.
  6. I'm a little divided conserning this remix. It had many different features, it began with a voice sample which then followed by a saw of some sort, and also a distorted synth along with some heavy drums and beats beating in rhytm with it. I liked the parts at 2:22 and 3:49, it got some more gentle touch with it. But I felt that this was way to chaotic for my taste, the electric guitar was mostly trying to add some more havoc unto the arrangement. But I still gotta admire them for their creativity, I already knows that the original wasn't anything like this. It took a while for me to get the meaning of the title. Nothing deep with it, but I still remember how hard it was to figure out some cool names when you only had four letters or less to make out somthing of. Nice work dudes!
  7. Begins very mysteriously, the bells really echoes in eternity. It's first later on it decides to kick off with synth, beats and all the special equipment to make this as much ”millennial” possible. It's a new adjective for me, all I think about hearing this is a pursuit of some sort. This remix doesn't achieve a certain level where the techno (or trance) reaches a climax. The arrangement has its own pace, and it sticks to it until the end....OF THE MILLENIUM. Sorry, got caught up in the moment. Overall, a decent remix from the pretzel himslef. Give it a listen will ya?
  8. Too bad I haven't played any Phantasy Star, this song sounds like something you need to have listened to. Djpretzel creates a very tragic mood to it using violins (excellent choice) and a piano, but somehow brings some passion into it with an acoustic guitar. It almost wants you to shed a tear for Alys. I don't really get the title of this remix, it doesn't make much sense, but poetry fits into this scene quite well. We may have lost a PS character, but that event gave birth to this remix. Thank you djpretzel.
  9. Sounded very dreamish, I guess the harps and strings helped with that. It's like your being in a perfect little town where kids play in the streets and there's flower shops and cafés in every corner. I love how it then goes over into something that sounds like a music box. Like if someone is reliving his or hers childhood. When i read the other comments about this one, I prepared my mind for what supposed to be a horrible fade-out. I can agree that it doesn't fade very quickly, but it ain't bad if you would say. Peaceful regards to Quinn, nicw work.:nicework
  10. Dang. This remix is beautiful. PSIII has a very good title music, I can't really stop listening to it. It's a very soft arrangement, it has flutes, alot of strings and maybe a harp too back there. It began very softly with only the harp or whatever it is playing, and then the flutes and strings began to get into the mood. I guess the melody repeats alot, but it changes at 1:49 to a different melody. It's very soothing, you can just kick back and relax and just let it loop. It do get some more power at 1:25 when some big drums joins the orchestra, but the remix always seem to be joyful and calm. I agree to the fullest. Beautiful done djpretzel.
  11. Indeed. U-ji has done well to make a remix like this to satisfy the trance fans. But as you said, it's mostly good to have as background music since this remix never gets to a climax where all the instruments releases all their strenght. At some points this remix actually do speed up the progress, but it never really gets to a certain level where you want to move your entire body along the rhytm. But except for that, this is a great arrangment. Kudos to U-ji.
  12. Another one from Fox is coming right up! It picks up the rhytm fast, nothing wrong on the drums of what I can hear. When the synths starts to play the remix relocates to space, since they give off a very alien feel if you could say. I didn't hear any pianos in it, more like an organ-like synth. The bells are my favorite part, they have that certain sound that makes me smile. Overall is this a groovy remix, and isn't really annoying in any way. Nice work Quinn.
  13. My thoughts too actually, those choirs sounded very familiar. But other than that, this remix is one of the best orchestral remix I've heard. Or is this new age music? I have never been able to tell them apart. If we go back to the choirs again, they fit very well along with the title, the pure and as Isk said angelic feeling those gives away suits this wintertheme perfectly. The leadchange to the violins was a little abrupt. When they appeared again wity the rest of the instruments they had a more echoing and smooth sound to themselves, that suited them more. The bells that came afterwards, you cannot have a winter remix without them, so it was a pleasure to listen to it. The variation between different kind of bells and chimes gave this remix both some mystique and beauty. The strings on the other hand gives it some more seriousness, like if the world's future rests at your shoulders. Oh wait, PSII is an RPG, of course the world's future rests on your shoulders! Truly great arrangement GL, your best remix in my opinion so far.
  14. Whoa...this one is awesome. Has a whole arsenal of instruments, which may not be a surprise, since it's 6 minutes long, and yet it does not get fairly repetitive. The bells that begins this piece is a nice start, but the remix caught me off guard when it suddenly changed into a raving partymix. It still have some magic left in it though, the synths and the bells that's still playing helps this track to keep the mystery inside it. Although the remix makes you wanna stand up and dance, it's also have the mystique worthy a remix of Phantasy Star. A fine piece of arrangement djpretzel, just keep'em coming!
  15. I don't really know what to say about this song. Quinn has managed to reach a very decent amount of grooveness, and the feeling of being in outer space has not been lost either. Sounds much like a jam session in a jazz club, and I liked the part where it got an even more ambient feel to it at 1:42. The piano was only one-handed, but it did still make a good job making this remix sound professional, by a professional. Seems like your hard work has paid off well Fox. VERY well.
  16. Want a Fanta? OK. It began very dark, but it got a little lighter when the piano decided to sneak in. Since this is a remix of the Boss dungeon theme, I expected that it would be something like this, but when the other lead synth came in at 0:38 it just turned the table up-side-down and gave this arrangement a completely new style. I like it, I want it, and now I have it. Awesome remix analoq!
  17. One of djpretzel earliest but yet beautiful works. It begans well with piano and strings, but as Evilhead mentioned it might be good to take off some of the strings, so that the instruments can be added as more the remix goes forward. The piece gets even better when the harp enters the scene around 1:02 to add some more heaven like touch to it. 20 seconds later pretzel releases all the glory packed in this piece, the strings picks up some more strokes and everything just flows like a river. Excellent. Too bad I haven't played the game.
  18. That's mostly what i think too. Sinergia has donw a really good job to play one of the shortest themes LIVE (in what appears to be inside of a arcade hall?), and they've also deciced to do it on spanish. This should be enough to download this, but yet, it sounds terrible. I can take it when they sings the lyrics in general, but when they start to scream PAC MAN out loud, that's simply just not my cup of tea. Although it did get interesting when they started to do their little twist, I'm not downloading it. However, congrats to Sinergia for making the first live and lyriced remix on this site! (I'm not sure, but it's an old remix measured in OCR years.)
  19. Nice arrangement for being a remix of Pacman, Keller has pulled all of his strings to make something like this, but although it mentions rave in the title, it could have been more of it. It's still a very decent remix since it has good variation between synths and beats, and the occational moments of less commotion contributes quite well. However, the bright synth began to bug after a while, so it didn't work for me. Nevertheless, it's a good remix, and I found the idea of having screams in the arrangement funny. Nice work FK.
  20. How very creepy. It's like your watching a Pacman horrormovie where he shares his inner thoughts. He's walking the lonely corridor. He's following a track of cheese pieces, mostly to try to still his never-ending hunger he got when he was trapped inside this cursed maze. He continues to walk. And arrives at a fork. Will he take the left? Or the right? Pearls of sweat begins to roll down his circular body, confused as much as you can be. He takes the left, NO, the right, NO again, he takes the left. He feels the prescense of something else. His company has so far only been his thoughts, the weird cheeseballs and the monumental walls surrounding him. He continues his walk, only to realize that he's followed by a green quilt! He quickly starts running, but the green chaser comes closer. He races through the empty halls only to find more cheese but also new forks in the road, and somehow the creepy habitants behind him manages to gather in their pursuit of our round hero. He starts to grow weak, and the haunting but yet colored creatures draws closer. He starts to lose faith, but then he sees one lonely cheeseball at the far end of the corridor. Why it's there he doesn't know, but he wants to find out before this weirdos surrounds him and puts him at the bottom of the high score list. His heart beats drums fast like it's been drinking several mugs of coffee, and when he finally reaches it, everything fades away, and a big glowing sign descends from he roof. It says ”Stage Clear”. At least what I think of when I hears this, the marimba israfel has chosen sounds almost exactly like if your drumming on glass bowls, and it really contributes to the title. The strings makes a fenomenal work to enhance the fear this remix gives off, never thought that Pacman could be changed into something like this. Excellent work Israfel, excellent indeed.
  21. Oh dear, this theme really IS short. Good thing that Peterrian knows how to pull some levers to make this enjoyful. Although you can predict that it's simply gonna add a new instrument every new turn, it still sounds remarkably good. Kudos to P. Productions for making an awesome remix of an awesome two-dimensional ball. ... All of sudden I want some ice-cream....
  22. If you would call this remix different, that wouldn't be enough. This is one of a kind. This is one of the weirdest thing mankind might ever heard of. This is an endangered specie that's the only in its kind that killed itself by driving themselves crazy by using many diffent kinds of voice and game samples together with gaps all over the place. But I did strangely like most of it. Got a little confused by the opening line, but the introducing synh was actually darn good. The occasional monkey sounds and random places of vacuum actually help this remix to create a weird and freaky atmosphere. The latter continued with it's baffling and unexplainable rhytm with an another interesting synth. So as the music in question I think it was good. Unfortunately all those Megaman voices in the middle of the arrangement destroyed my will of downloading it, the line ”Protoman to the rescue” got reallt disturbing after some listens. Shael has created a monster, but it was one funky remix.
  23. My first thought was that it sounded like the underwater theme in DKC. But then again, it was only a slight piano prelude, but it didn't make me think of a desert anyway. But let's get back to the subject, I'm a complete loser for piano remixes, this one must be one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. It isn't two-handed, but those bright tunes just make me melt, like a scorching desert. HEY, I can make the connection now! Then there's also a lovely flute (which I happen to also to be a loser for, but not completely), and it puts that lonely mark on this remix. This is about a stranger, nowhere to go with only his cape and a bottle of water as company. The flute puts the dot above the i, making this a definite download for all those who has a keen ear for piano and flute arrangements. What can I say? DarkeSword has done it once again.
  24. Those three minutes just flies by. This is one chill remix! It began well, the organ reminded me of the sound my freezer gives away when you opens it, so the sound is cool alright. When it picks up the synths its coolfactor ascends to new heights, and the organ playing its groovy melody in the back is just excellent. It takes a break at 1:30, but is back in the flow when the music proceeds further. He may be the lord of the Dragons, but with this remix he might as well be the lord of the dancefloor.
  25. Man, the trance music doesn't stop coming from me. Ok, let's see what I got. I got GOLD! This piece is awesome. Doesn't start out with a bang, but it goes easy on you, then BANG!....Terra adds some synths and beats and everything gets explosive. I can really see some real good improvements since your Stage Select remix, your skill level has reached da roof dude! This got nice synths, good beats, kicks that really......kicks, and VARIETY! Excellent! There are some extra ingredients like voice samples and thunder cloud rumbles, and it all flows really well. Personally I don't think that this remix needs something that makes it point out. This is a great trance arrangement, and yes, it's solid. I can see djpretzel's point about how more significant this piece would be if it had some sort of climax to work it's way up too, but it doesn't necessarily need something extra-ordinaire. And just to ask, is Zero the same robot as Protoman in the early series, or is he an entirely different character? I haven't played the games, so it wuld be nice if every Zero fan would refrain from hitting me with wooden sticks. Great remix Dj Terra!
