  1. I have heard the word Scherzo before, Kingdom Hearts "Scherzo-di-notte", but I do not know what it means. This was quite the hectic pianopiece of what I´ve heard. It rushes through the whole mix, like a hunter on his loyal horse, running over the green fields and shady meadows in the chase of a Zaghnol. This shows the real power you can take from a piano, it depends on how much keys you press at once. Or maybe not. Blak_Omen, MC, Nice work.
  2. I can really agree that this one is greatly remixed, but if I think it´s great, I think I need some time for this one. Different remixes ARE great, but this one didn´t quite got somewhere I think. Nice groovy beats and synths, some hi-hats, it´s good, but I´ll need some time.
  3. Maybe this thread is the hardest boss, it won´t just die.
  4. Dude, is this your first try at reggae? I don´t know how reggae is going to sound, but this is awesome, so I don´t care. VERY funky, I liked that organ/synth/bagpipe that played the melody, and the bass, DUDE, this is all just a great proof why pretzeldude has the legal rights to own this site. Hyper Kudos for making such a masterpiece, the name is hard to remember though. And I know where I remember this musicstyle from some game, but which? THAT´S IT!
  5. I pretty much agrees with pretzel, this is plenty much of everything. And that orchestral part was sweet. For the rest, yeah, that was more industrial onfluenced techno and trance, tons of beats and synths swirlin around, created a very chaotic atmosphere to this mix. There may be an another track to it, around 4:20 there´s something new, but that may also quite be Daniel mixing some of his own music to fill it out some more. Overall, nice done, liked those synths. And by the way, it´s not Vivi´s theme, it´s Black Mage Village.
  6. This was...weird. Cool beats, funny idea to use many of those sound effects, but I didn´t like it at all.
  7. This track has some emotional meaning to me, this was the first track I heard when I realixed that "Wow, this game has some real good music." The original was in a bad version, but the melody just blew me away. For Ziwtra´s remix here, it´s very good. There is alot going on in the beginning when all the sounds wants to squeeze themselves in my headphones to my ears, and everything comes at the same time. But yes, it´s techno alright, and I do recognize that track, has the same melody I like, good that you didn´t remix it into an unrecognizable form. Well done, has an overall funky feel to it, I liked the synths, the beats and drummy stuff was no problems to, I may just not be a fan of the more hectic or overstuffed beginning and end, but Ohyes, if it´s good or what.
  8. Very cool mix, the horn just makes my day, along with all those other happy pop-instruments. Popmusic just makes me think of Five and BackStreetBoys, but if it´s this good, then keep up with it. Ziwtra, well done, you made a groovy remix that just says Rise and Shine to everybody, puts a smile to your face and a good morning is coming on its way. Chill dude.
  9. I'm all for it By then, hopefully I'll have mastered a couple of the techniques my mix showes I could improve upon Seriously, though. This game has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. And I'm not talking about Sword of Mana. I'm talking about the original FFA. It definitely should warrent a "project". Yes! I would donate $50 to OCR if it hosted an FFA remix project! I'd suggest staying true to the order of tracks in Let Thoughts Ride on Knowledge because it already has nice transitions, but you'd have to add in the missing songs like the second overworld music. Oh and Transdecimal is right, Julius actually does help boy through the Marsh Cave, much like how Megatron helped the Maximals into his citadel so he could take command over Cybertron once again. Nice parallel with Transformers, but I thought that that man in da cave was actually good, then at wendel he´s in town, says hallo, and when he comes to help again, he got backired outside by Julius. Or something like it. And YES I´m also for a project of this game. It has some real cool music, I just cleared it 5 minutes ago so I know. I may not need to donate 50 bucks, maybe 10 since there are like 15 tracks in total I think. Finally to the remix. Loved it. I liked the beginning, very touching and calm with that marimba sounding instrument. FFA is a little mysterious, and then it all builds up to go over into a techno...No, trance,...Aww come on Xelebes, what are ya gonna call it. I just says techno-inspired piano arrangement, it fits fer me. Ah, yes, the piano, very beautiful, I liked it very mucho, and for the overall feel to the remix, I liked it too. Maybe not that battle between that betrayed friend and Manahero mood that I expected, but I guess this goes for that too. To sum it all up, it was awesome. For all those that got time to read through all this, DOWNLOAD IT!
  10. Those beastmen in Seiken Densetsu 3 are really annoying, but they´re not bosses.
  11. This has some sort of asian touch to it, may be because of "A hooray in the Eastern Horizon" and this is Lost Horizon, but that marimba around halfway, that chinese flute, and those beautiful strings, made it real foreign sounding, classical style, resulting in a one calm mix. For being named as destructo, this mix surely shows that what´s the inside that counts. Or maybe not, who knows? All I knows is that this is a great mix, and I asking everybuddy else to downoad it and enjoy.
  12. I´m siiiiiinging in the rain... Really nice stuff here. Although this is Ziwtra´s first try at getting a groovy mix, I´m not complaining. Very nice usage of the instruments, I liked that echoing piano that just skipped over that piano. At some points, it sounded just like "The place I´ll return to" from FF9, but then it got back to Blue fields once again. Calm, chill, excellent remix from our hardworking Ziwtra. Good luck with your studies.
  13. Orkydude! Nice work, the hectic Plank-theme has become hectier, and you have threw in some real heavy bass to give this a way serious look than before. Nice.
  14. It´s quite the dangerous task to remix Laguna into a BETTER techno, the original was already freaking awesome, but I think BD succeded. This is a decent upgrade of the original, used some new technics and Voilà! Homme avec un machine de trance!
  15. Agreed, still haven´t cleared it, but the music is sooo good. For the song, it´s hard for me to recognize the track. I mean, the lyrics with is 100% obvious of course, but just the melody is hard enuff. Kudos to master pollard, this is like that program "The Swan", but now mp took a classical symphonic piece and updated it to the age of techno, nice done dude. I can feel it! Come on!
  16. Were´nt your name Epoch? Got a little confused when pretzel siad one thing, the remix information said different, and now you comes around and...so confused. For your remix, I can admit that this clearly was not my style, I liked that synth in the beginning, but when you released the jungle, it just became too much. Too many beats and stuff, but this actually reminds of NeedForSpeed, very hectic and alot of kewl drums. Nice work Epoch, I mean Phoenix, no wait Neondude. Thanks. So confused.
  17. That may well be the case, there are some tracks that has the same melody as LF too but with other instruments, but yeah, it´s Liberi Fatali alright, and the FFprelude at the end. This mix is a tie for me. I like techno-orchestra very much, but it did not in some way have that feel of rush and balance. I´m not sure what I´m talking about, but I just think there were almost too much difference between the instruments. But then again, at 0:58 it´s real sweet, then continues a half minute later with the same but now with a electric guitar. It´s all good, but I can´t decide if I shall download it or not.
  18. So Faye Wong did the original, and "Rydia of Mist" sings in this one? If that´s so, congrats for singing very good, and to FFMDJ for picking her. The song itself has some very good beats to it, gave the EoM track a more updated body. Kewl MDJdude and Rydiadudette.
  19. CotMM has always done some sort of weird remixes, but this GOTTA take the price. It sure is Eyes on Me, and that´s what really freaks me out. I will check the lyrics for this one, or more like the conversation of that girl. This mix gives off some sort of depressive feeling, like someone´s life got destroyed by drugs or something. But still, very individual for taking such a task trying to give this track the total opposite of the original. Good work.
  20. So why did you pick this song to voice it as cliche? Or is that why you have such a high post count, just go around and tag songs that don't impress you as cliche. Anyways I love this piece, and I am not a big fan of symphonic pieces, but this one has a true melancholy edge to it. It can NEVER be to many symphonic and orchestric remixes, their grace and majestic instruments may sound alike, but even so, when I listen to all of mine that I´ve downloaded, I don´t start thinking of an another with the same instruments, every mix has it´s own power and style, that goes for symphonic too. And as I said, I love this genre, so for me, there can´t really be too much orchestric remixes. Maybe on the same track perhaps. And moving on to the song. Starts out quietly, then builds up with some nice strings, trombones, and the violin that has the centre role in this masterpiece. It´s both powerful and sad, and yes, Shariq pointed pointed it out quite well that this reminds you of a depressing chinese movie story. But you can still recognize the original, at least I can. The org was very good, considering the beautiful harp and groovy saxophone, but this mix gave it a more serious mood to it, no matter how hard you trust, you still end up having what you got from the very beginning, nothing. Not one of my personal philosophies, maybe not one of Sefiros´ either, but this was a very tremendous remix, excellent done. Congratulations dude.
  21. Full throttle dudes! Techno as fast as you can get it anywhere. The beats just explode in your face accompanied with many different synths, an arrangement that even if you don´t like it, your leg will still shake it with the rhytm. Overhelming techno stuff from Stanby, at maximum velocity.
  22. I like those chimes you have together with that guitarsynth, which by the way sounds suspiciously similiar to he original. Orky gives us what the name says, a chill remix of our breezy little FF8track with some cool beats to it, and at the same time throwed in some anti-stress instruments, those strings was beautiful. Orkydude, nice work.
  23. I thought it would be strings... Anyhow, it was calm, a little bit funky, groovy, jazzy, can´t really find the right thing to call it, but this mix was real chill. OH, that´s it!
  24. Very good actually, considering that the drums had the main part in this mix and the fact that the Turk theme was almost entirely beats and sounds, like garbage candrums, fingersnaps and other cool stuff. DJO gave that to this, except for the drums and synths, there a whole lot other stuff going on. Police sirens(must have, no pursuit else), rain smattering down at the ground, and some sort of maraca stuffie, thingie-do-hickie. For short readers, this was a different view of the Turk´s hectic life, even though this was the pizza track it showed the spirit of the fast moves and cool style that comes with the Turks. Reminds me actually a little about Timber city in FF8 at one point, meh.
