  1. I got a little confused when I read all the negative posts about FFMDJ, I'm glad that it turned out to be a little major mistake. This actually sounds like a remix you would do. Begin with heavy beats, add a synth to take the lead, throw in some nice cymbals, add one synth, turn up the speed, get the kicking started, let it slow down then charge up, go at full throttle, then rave during the rest of the 4 minutes left, and voilá, you have an excellent trance remix right out of the frying pan. Although there was much fuss about the voice samples, it turned to be good having them around, gave this piece a little foreign touch to it. Nice to see that you're trying out new games dude. Keep up the good work!
  2. I'm gonna hafta sorta agree..? It felt like I was tip-toeing around some glass roses or something. I certainly didn't feel like killing evil robots. It's kinda elevatorish with some very predictable drumming. Kinda British sounding. I just couldn't get into it. If it was british, then we would be having violins and a whole orchestra presented, but we don't. If your referring a calm and slow remix as boring, then I can't really agree. If it's boring, then it lacks variety. You just keep hearing the same things over and over and over and over again. This remix changes its track quite often, they may sound similiar, but I thought it's be a good thing that someone submitted a MMX remix that isn't a trance or techno piece (no offense guys). Slow remixes may be boring, yes, but if you want something fast and loud that makes you awake, DJ MetaZero and FFMusic Dj might help you with that problem. I thought it was relaxing. The pianoplay (or organ) was beautifully done, and the careful bells enhanced the feel to it, and now wehn I'm listening close to it, there's actually ONE violin in the back at 0:48. I can agree that the music may be confusing considering that X is an actionpacked fighting robot, and therefore the music would be something with heavy action inside it, but maybe X has a soft side beyond our knowing, who knows? Magnificent work Darke.
  3. Repetive, repetive, repetive, I've that word quite some time, and now I say do it again. This song IS repetive, BUT as Disco Dan said ( I'm too lazy toquote right now), Terra throws in some new synths at 1:35, so it have more variety than expected at least. This is after all the Stage Select music after all, it's cursed to repeat itself for eternity, so why cannot the remix do it? Besides, if this remix would be the actual music in the beginning, my eyes would be wide-open and I would start jumping up and down in my couch proclaiming how awesome the music is. This remix is rock solid, no doubts about. Throw in some more gadgets and it gets great.
  4. Indeed. This may be why he call himself Beatdrop, the beat in this one never let go and keep going until around 3:50. This song would be great if you could lower the volume on those beats and maybe vary it at 2:08. The beat itself sounds like a bouncing ball, three short beats and then a short break and then it begins again. But if you stops thinking about the beats, I can hear that the synths are okay and the other beats are doing a fine job. The piece began well with a bright synth that almost flew all over the place, and as Sesshomaru said, we all know how good Beatdrop really is, so a first remix like this is understandable. Nice work Beatdrop.
  5. This is trance!? I thought it would have some more action, or maybe I still don't know what trance is. Anyhew, as pretzeldude already mentioned, this remix is kinda repetive. The chords are the main instruments, the different beats and synths spice this arrangement a little extra, makes me think of a Club remix. Although this piece doesn't offer much variety, it's still comfortable listening to, and there's nothing wrong with the arrangment, so this is nice theme for a Gravity Beetle. Heh, gravity beetle, how silly...
  6. When it says Beatdrop, mp AND Ailsean, you simply just know how good this is gonna bee. (Get it, bee?.........eh, forget it.) The clever idea to begin the remix with the sound of a flying wasp must've came naturally, but the rest of the mix was more serious. The heavy guitars in the back was sure to give this bug some attitude, and most of the beats and other gadgets gave it a very....what do ya call it,...industrial sound, like if you were in a factory and all the workers began to dance and hit wrenches on garbage can caps. Bad parable, I know, but it have small bells, saws and I don't know what, so hey have clearly been creative making this remix. You don't wanna mess with this Hornet, it'll do more than just sting you. Great remix guys!
  7. OH SNAPPITY CRAP WHAT A GREAT REMIX! At first I didn't get those voice samples in the beginning, then it hit me that it might not be english they're talking. Still sounds something that would come from an anime though. About the music, simply great. This is awesome techno that makes you wanna go down on the floor and breakdance. Unfortunately I don't know how to do, so I'll just picture it in my mind. Every single instruments fits perfectly, I cannot do more than say excellent work and then continue to memorize this remix. It's rocking!
  8. First remix, eh? Wouldn't be able to tell, cause this is GREAT! Ok, some constructive thoughts then. The opening was nice, sounds like a trumpet of some sort, and over the time more instruments are pasted on top of it. I liked the samples of what that sounds like a female choir, gave it a very beautiful touch. And then the guitars came, nothing that i really can complain on. The drums are okay, maybe isn't sounding real, but that was also the problem with it. . The tunes from MM2 was a nice add since that game also has some real good music. Overall I thought that this was a good remix, but considering this was your first then it's great. Awesome Vig.
  9. It may also be the challenge in it. Take a boring song, and turn it into something that not only you but also others like. It's one of the actual points of remixing, either make it better or change it to something new. I haven't played this game, but if the original track was bad before, Mellogear has now pimped it into something fresh and jazzy directly from the oven. Sounds like the music choice James Bond would do if he danced. I dig the piano and the synths, gives a very good feeling to it. Groovy man, groovy.
  10. Mostly my opinion too. The Incredible Singing Robot was one of the hilarious lyricremix I've ever heard of, but it's also interesting when Star decides to do something more serious. It's just too bad I haven't discovered this gem sooner, something like this cannot just slip out of your hands. Although I'm not the biggest fan of pop-music since the majority are boys singing about love, girls and....girls, I'm still not thinking about it when I'm listening to this. Star has picked up a very caring subject for us, the challenge to save the world in only 2 dimensional places. Although the lyrics are supposed to be about the importance of not needing to finish the game, Salzman also manages to throw in some humor in it too. I laughed so hard about the 9.99 part. Then the music, it's popppish as popcorn alright, but the opening with the piano is niiiice. Star's voice is an important instrument, he actually has some real good talent, if were to play it on my school, they would NEVER think that this melody is from MegaMan. If they pay more attention to the lyrics maybe, but this is as many already said professional sounding popmusic. Indeed excellent work. The addings of electric guitar and Capcom preludes was sweeeeet, and this arrangement has just leaped up to my absolute greatest remix list. Excellent...no....Marvelous....no.....Outstandingly well done Salzman!!!!
  11. I got excited when I saw that Prot had remixed this one, and since I know I couple of his works, I knew that this would either rock or be beautiful. It turned out be Freaking Awesome!! I haven't played MMX, so unfortunately I don't have anything to compare with. It didn't sound very special in the beginning, it was first after the screaming synth kicked in that I knew that the techno madness was about to begin. It kept on rolling with drums and beats, and I enjoyed every single part of it. The change-overs to the other robot themes just enhanced the adrenaline level, first out came Storm eagle and then apparently Spark Mandrill. It's fast paced, has variety, and all the instruments are weaved into each other like a carpet. For some it may be hard to enjoy, since it's so much going on with all the instruments, but when it comes to MegaMan remixes, all you can do is stuff it up. That's how it's supposed and will be. At least if you want a fast going mix like this one. Protricity, excellent work.
  12. Wow, simply just wow. It was a nice beginning to start off with some high winds and the cry of an eagle. The walkover to the real deal may've been too abrupt, but at least they go straight to the point. I can see why Team Chikusho gets so much respect, they deserves it! Excellent guitars to open up with, accompanied with an a nice organ synth and awesome drums. The electric solo that then followed didn't have the same quality though, the guitar didn't sound too good. It was...what's the word? Yeah, that's it. It did pick up again with the same energy afterwards, so it was only the solo I had issues with. Everything else was excellent played. Does anyone happen to have a lighter?
  13. The remix name confuses me. It's frosty alright, Chako picked a nice synth to play the melody. The beats and the other synth didn't really take this remix to new levels, it mostly began with a calm and deserted feel and ended with a calm and deserted feel. Since the name has the word Delight mentioned, I thought this would be a cold but also a happy remix, but this was more sad and...abandoned. If I stood on a vast frozen plain on Pluto, this remix would be an excellent choice for music. Nice change from the other remixes with the abscense of a bass instrument, but overall, I found this remix boring. You get the impression that it's gonna build up some steam like most of the remixes, but there's nothing coming out. A calm remix, maybe a bit too calm.
  14. This remix is HOT. Ok, with that bad joke out of the way, I can now concentrate on the remix. It was good. EH kept the arabic feel that the original had, my only question though is if he kept the synths too. I can't really say for sure, my ears apparently likes to play tricks on me, but they sounds very familiar. It feels like the synths give off some NES sounds to thr remix, but yet they sounds different, cause I know that the original wasn't better than this. Since EH was so kind to give this remix some cool beats and drums, he gave the original more than a face-lift. He pimped its style too into something that makes me think of hiphop and car pursuits, and that's one fine improvement in my opinion. The input of voice samples might been a good idea. I couldn't hear what it said though, but now when I now it says ”Turn the flame higher”, it actually makes some sense, AND adds some more extra material to this remix. After several listens, I finds it OK. It's up to oneself to decide if the synths bugs you or not, but I feel that EH's changes in the arrangement stilol makes it worth to download. Flameman has now a greater flame to show off, and all I can do is to dig into this music. Awesome EvilHorde.
  15. Been a while since I've played it, but isn't that music more dark and mysterious? This remix is soft like a pillow, and also has piano and acoustic guitars. It may sound like Myst, but if I would decide, this sounds more like that would come from Final Fantasy 10 or higher. Beautiful stuff texx, main complaint is about the length of this remix, but lullabies are supposed to be short, right? I liked the sound you got from that piano, it had a very bright tone, and together with the guitar, this piece got a very sad feel to it. Makes me picture a spanish wanderer that just got himself a flashback. And then falls asleep. Great stuff. I agree, it has been three years since this one. Can someone make a MM5 project? Please? Pretty please?
  16. When I heard the beginning, I knew this was going to be good. It turned out that I was right. Very cool bass to open this up, I can't really describe the music style, I just mostly knows genres like Jazz or Blues, but this sounds more different. The strings and the guitar gives me the impression that I'm 30 feet under the sea, a very nice effect considering this is an arrangment of Diveman's theme. I like the flute and the piano that later shows up from the depths of this remix. Gives it a smooth touch to it, but the bass and drums are still left playing behind them. The remix is only 1:59 long, but since the end contains the instruments that opened this piece, you doesn´t realy realize that the track has looped. It runs on very smoothly, and can be listened on several times. Groovy stuff from Psychrophyte, why don't ya give it a listen?
  17. I think it was in Dustman's level Since djpretzel kindly said that and also put it in the remix info, I kind of knew that. My real question was more like I couldn´t recognize it even when I knew what track it was. AmIEvil has really transformed the original into something almost unrecognizable, I gotta give him credit for that, and he manages to pull it off with many different synths and a good variation of beats. The dark and heavy drums that picked up at 0:38 gave this piece some more power indicating that it now had gotten into its rhytm. The strings that then followed was simply beautiful, and as everyone already said, this is good enough to be music to moviescores. But my favorite part is still at 1:49, the synth fitted into that trippy melody perfectly, it was the reason that I downloaded this remix. I may not hear the theme so well, but AmIEvil compensates all of it by giving us one fantastic arrangement that works like a scratch behind your ears. This is the result of a true remixer.
  18. I remember this track, MM4's castle actually did have some neat music. Really? That synth that takes the lead right away sounds suspiciously like the original, but also sounds enhanced in some ways. Even if many appreciates that you take a track and gives it a different set of instruments, it's also nice to have some parts of the instruments left. Not saying that it's the same synth, but it sounds just like it, and it fits quite well too. Nothing to complain much on the beats and other equipments, the beginning went smooth as you began with heavy beats and rolled out the red carpet for the synth and the beautiful piano. Nice done mp.
  19. Just one song? This game deserves a whole acoustic project! Okay, let's cut to the case, great acoustic guitarplay in the beginning, cannot point that out well enough. And then, some very good electric guitar, but I suggest that you have low volume when you listens to it. Cause I had, and that guitar cut my ears. Owwww....
  20. I just want to begin to say that I'm glad that someone finally took the opportunity to remix a different part of that castle, all we've heard is the first stage, twould be a shame to miss out of the rest. I'm hearing Led Zeppelin in the beginning, or maybe Pink Floyd, they´re all good. It begins carefully, it's first after a while that the electric bass begins to breathe and unleash a solo to mark the beginning of a new kind of arrangement. It may sound maybe too distorted at some points, but if you liked It's Boss Time, then you'll surely gonna like this one too. If you've neither of them, this might be a good chance to do it. Although this mix is focused to kick some ass, it also takes a small break in the middle with some strings and a little softer guitar. Can you FEEL the pain in Megaman's circuits? This remix helps you with that, makes me think in the area of Mission Impossible. This remix is awesome, great stuff Gux.
  21. Mostly my thoughts too about it, the synth that takes over sounds really good to me, and the beats are fine working together with it. A very smooth arrangement from SnowBro, had a calm beginning and then accellerated more and more until it achieved full speed. This is indeed a techno remix, but as Zircon pointed out, this might also fit real good as dancemusic or music to an aerobicclass, it reminds me too of it. Great work SlowBro dang Snowbro, too bad that you haven't created any more of this stuff. It would be appreciated.
  22. This is some real groovy stuff. I cannot decide if this is blues or jazz, but than organ sounds so good. It gets some help from a bass and some silent marackas in the back, but mostly it's the organ doing its thing. And it works remarkably well, and it can't really hurt to download it since it's only on 1.2 MB. Come to think of it, my family has an organ, I must go check it out. Nice stuff McGrann.
  23. Listen to the Spanish station? That is so lame. ...until I heard this. As for many, I´m more of a music person so the conversation in the beginning is in my opinion kind of unnecessary. But it´s a little funny, specially the thing i quoted. And for the others, the remix starts for real ar 1:06, just so you know. I thought it was excellent. When all the voices has disappeared, all is left but a great saxophone with a full mexican band. Very nice indeed. I don´t know if they´re samples or if you guys played them yourself, but they sound so real! It has to be for real, or else give me the name of your samples. Except for the sax, there was an excellent piano that made its quick and passionate keyplay in the back. If this aint salsa, then nothing is. Maybe i should tune in Spanish radio more often. Gracias dudes!
  24. Ah yes, another masterpiece from Gecko. May be from a track I know too well by now, but meh. Opened in a very touching mood. Some sad violins, a quiet piano and a bass to accompany them, and then BANG the remix shoots out like a bullet and starts the real deal here, techno at full velocity. I can´t help it to think of the original, that synth sounds awfully familiar. Since I loved the track before I found this site, so it doesn´t bother me so much. But I liked the part that proceeded afterwards, it moved slowly but safely into trancemode with that very typhical but oh so lovable synth that´s so typhical for it. Very good variation to the remix, and the synth that then followed didn´t bother me. To come to a conclusion, very cool remix with plenty of different synths, with nice drums and beats to fulfill the perfectionism of this piece. It really draws out the fastpaced spirit of the original, although many remixes has already done it, but it does it in its own unique way, the Gecko Yamori way! Awesome to the max!
  25. I can agree with many that this one started out very smooth. A careful synth that changed between watery and trippy sounding. When the essential cymbals and bass kicked in it became slighly better. It continued with it´s calm style, didn´t want to rush anything, and you got the impression that this was just a warm-up and that the real thing would hit us like a load of bricks. But sadly, that unleash of magnificent techno never came, it kept going with the same thing over and over again until it finally faded out at the end. I can´t really say that it sucked big time, but when it comes to megaman techno remixes, and especially those made of the intro track, you can almost expect to start swinging your body to the hectic rhytm and just party. This was different since it didn´t have any kind of signs to be hectic at all, but there´s no wrong with a fast melody turned into a trippy technobeat. It just lacked variation, but believe me, if I made a remix TWO kittens would die when someone listened to it, and we don´t want to hurt kittens, do we? Nice work for a first remix Starla.
