  1. They´re SWEDES!? At first I felt uncomfortable since this remix had lyrics, I´m more of a dude that just wants the music with no voices that steals your attention. But now that I´ve listened to it quite a while, the lyrics grows on you and becomes part of the music, and that´s the point where i truly realizes how cool this remix really is. It´s AWESOME. A great rockremix in the name of Topman, that´s some pretty neat stuff. The guitars actually fitted very well to the Topmelody, it plays with maximum energy and leaves noone unsatisfied. Well, maybe someone, but those people maybe just don´t likes thrashing guitar remixes. Tack för remixen Game Over, är fortfarande ganska förvånad att det finns så många svenskar på OC. Ni gör oss stolta. Bra gjort!!!
  2. Are you ready to go? If not, too bad. Had a good variation among the instruments, from a classical piano to a very funky synth with a nice trumpet or two, . A very happy but also jazzy remix if I might say, at least when it gets into the groove at 0:47. Maybe not the best thing to have a voice message in the beginning, but now I at least knows his email, that may be a good thing. But except for that one, there was some more quotes inside the remix, but they doesn´t bother me that much, they´re also characteristic for Mustin´s remixes. I may agree at that point, techno suits good for megaman remixes, but Mustin´s take on this track wasn´t that bad either, so why not download both? Well done Mustin!
  3. I was very impressed by the beginning, a very good sax that echoed enjoyfully. But the piano that followed was simply superb, along with a touching violin. It was a suitable tone for it, very bright, and those times where you rolled the keys instead of pressed was simply beautiful. Your vocals may be low at some times, but the more power you gave your voice the better it sounded, like around 2:28, that was very good. Reminds me actually of the Little Mermaid, your voice sounds very familiar at least. Different take on the Protomelody, but not in vain. Well done Starla/Injury, whatever.
  4. Finally a remix that I don't need to complain about how short it is, bLiNd gives us all the time we need for this one. It began well, the synths and beats kicked in as soon the mix started, and over the time more and more instruments joined the party. The strings used for the melody wasn't really strong, so recognizing the original track might be hard. I liked the sudden change at 2:35 when the whole remix went into an other direction, it was at that point that I could fully recognize the original melody inside it. The walkover to trance was excellent, since bLiNd used a very good synth as a bridge to it. He kept the strings, good call I think, and the mix had now built up itself to the max. At 4:39, it released its full glory, and it was magnificent. I concur with everyone else here, this is the best trance I've ever heard so far. Great work bLiNd, truly great work.
  5. This is Sonic 3 alright, but with my amnesia that comes to mind it's hard to rememeber which levels this is from. Oh well. It gets into the groove very quickly, the bass picks it up right away, and after some while the sax enters the scene with some good tunes. The cymbals seems to be in place, no heavy drums here or it would ruin most of it. There seems to be some sort of organ around too, but it plays mostly in the back. Although Tails and Mephisto had jazz in mind when making this, I got a little surprised when the electronica synth came into the picture. It all went back to it's smooth jazz session after it, this whole piece reminds me of a recycling commercial that has gone a while at my channels. I think I too can be sure to say that this is jazz, the opinion if the synth fits in well or not can differ between persons. At first I thought it pointed out too much from the else, but at the second listen it sounded very good with the rest of the equipment. Red Tailed Fox, Mephisto, this was groovay!
  6. My older brothers has managed to kick Omega W eapon in FFVIII, that's sweet. It's one of the most wrecked, annoying and powerful bosses in all the games I've played. I just don't know why I haven´t mentioned it. Meh, someone already has I guess.
  7. It took a while for me to realize that this was a new Zelda remix, I better get some steady breakfast. I liked it very much. Started out very easily, the harp and then those strings gives it a very pleasant feel, but yet serious since they´re vibrating at the low tunes here. Makes me think of a person that´s about to enter a creepy mansion of some sort. That´s a good effect, since link himself is entering the Deku Tree in the beginning, and that is one creepy place. The following music sounds fairly much like the castle music from Zelda 3, but I can´t really remember if that melody took place in Zelda OoT ToO. I think it´s going over to the Hyrule field music afterwards, with the same feel as the previous. The strings never leaves the scene, they´re always there expression the different emotions that may go through Link´s tiny little head, in a very calm but yet worried mood. And then it comes, the music where Link is in front of The Deku Tree. Zas throws in some more special stuff here, cause this mix really picks up some more majestic feel when it comes to this point of the arrangement. I´m glad that someone decided to remix the theme of the Deku Tree, he is an important character and also helps Link to begin his journey. The title to this remix fitted very well I think. Final Fantasy has a more happy prelude comparing to this one, but theirs are more like "Once again the world needs your help, to defeat the evil that´s overhelming us". The situation might be the exact same thing in the Zelda games, but I felt that this remix really showed the emotions excited by it. Fear, unsecureness, worry, and lack of hope. Link stands in front of the biggest task he´ll ever gonna make (so far), and the track really shows it by giving us an excellent performance in the arts of strings and other orchestric instruments to give this task the right theme it deserves. Excellent done Zas, it was earnest, beautiful and........ponderous.
  8. Always a pleasure to find a new remix at the end of the day. The fact that it´s from Darangen only makes it better. Since your From Within was a very good song, I expected the same result or better for this one. For the beginning, very nice guitarplay, had that very dark and brushy or whatever you call it sound. It was like listening to an old Bruce Springsteen. And although pretzel already had pointed out the sudden change, I couldn´t do more than jump up from my seat when it all turned. If I compare with From Within, this has obviously some more sparkle to it, much action and not much calm guitarplay except for the beginning. Personally, i found it very good. There may be hundreds of aspects of how other formats or samples would make a significant change to it, but I couldn´t really do much to move my head along with the rhytm, this KICKS! And there´s also the argues about your vocals. It might sound a little clear compared to the guitars, since they are dark, and your voice is more playing on the bright side. Karaoke effect: I might say that, but I don´t find much trouble with it, I like songs where you can hear the lyrics full and clear. To an conclusion, it was great in my opinion. Seems my mp3-player has got an another smash hit, fresh from the oven. Nice work Darangen.
  9. Yeah, I been there bro. Have some Egoist armlets to shield off his Doomsday, and make sure to have so many characters that can strike it with 9999 damage. And one person to cure. Annoying as >cencur<. But I got it before Terra.
  10. Is that the reason he goes crazy and shouts WHO MENTIONED CHRONO TRIGGER when it comes into discussion?
  11. Shadow Link in Ocariana of Time is a pain in the ass too.
  12. You can't. In New Game+, you can touch a shining sparkle in one of Luca´s telepods, and you will then stand in front of Lavos, alone or with the girl depending if you walk in there before or after the girl has been teleported to the past.
  13. That´s was a peace of cake. But the hardest version of Lavos though, is when you fight him when that queen in the dark age awakens him. It has the strongest attack possible and that rain hurts alot. And about the core, yes, it´s irritating, but I think the left one was weak for physical attacks and the left one magic. Just keep kickin ass and you might eventually make it. If not, go away and train.
  14. This thread is the hardest boss. It cannot die. That's been said about 34 times. Cannot you call that a conclusion? It got 34 votes! As I have said before: This thread is historical. My first post on OCR is in it. ::runs to first page to look at the date:: I didn´t realize this thread was so old.

  16. You have obviously not met Gogo. But yes indeed, Omega is hard, VERY hard. Took awhile to realize that you could pass by him. I actually think I defeated Shinryu, but I don´t remember how. Maybe I was throwing coins. That´s how I defeated the Final Boss.
  17. This thread is the hardest boss. It cannot die.
  18. The sax automatichally makes me think of jazz, but this is more like a ballad. If this one popped up in the radio I would believe that this was the real thing, not a remix. The instruments works great together, there may be some issues about quality and such chit-chat, but this sounds more than good to me, it´s fabulous. The kick in of the electric guitar was great, sounds like something Ailsean would do, you guys finish it off well. I couldn´t hear the part that might be RD, but sokay, I´m just hear for Relm. Very neat stuff dudes, and if every track have this standard maybe I´ll find some time to check your site Mephisto.
  19. Dhsu could do that easily. Yeah I know. Then there´s also Pacaud, Jayson and other pianoremixers that´s absolutely excellent.
  20. O RLY? Honestly though...I think that Final Fantasy IV had the all time hardest bosses, almost every boss in that game was impossible, and they just kept getting harder and harder after that. Nah, not really, but the never ending supply of Behemoths and Purple heads in the final cave was a menace.
  21. You joined only to say that? Apparently, AE is back. I wouldn´t know, since my record only goes back to this summer, but according to this, it was an astounding comeback. Most of the times this mix wasn´t all about getting the melody rolling and have fun with the synths, but more like used the instruments to create a masterpiece beyond our very minds. The synths and beats was great, and here and there AE managed to add some more classical instruments like piano and strings. And for the grand finale, he used many sounds from the game itself to create a more chaotic but also more thrilling feel to it, and then finish it completely with more beautiful instruments. AwesomE remix AE, truly.
  22. Even if I´m very disturbed of the ridiculously many Wily remixes, it´s still good that there are some that tries it in other directions. Steve is one of them. Begins actually very calm, since the basssynth is the only thing playing, but then the electric guitar kicks in. The madness has begun. As for a typhical rock remix, this one was a very decent one. It had its precious guitarplay along with it´s drumtrack and bass, and in some places it sounded great together, but at some point the bass didn´t fit, and it didn´t change much either, even when the melody changed it was mostly the same, no pauses or something to variate this mix. But within every darkness there´s a light, and in this case it was the guitarsolo that began at 1:57, that one was awesome. Rock on Pordon, you obviously already know how.
