  1. Yay, more SoR mixes!! Thanks for sub' this ambient, I hope to hear more from an old favorite. And speaking of old favorites...GeckoYamori, where are thou and wrrrrrrrrrrrrrry aren't you sub'ing more to OCR lol.
  2. Man I can't find Gecko Yamori's Mellow Tempest ANNNYWHERE **sad fox** This is awesome, and somewhat fills the Gecko Yamori shaped hole in my heart. Or eardrums. Or whatever. UPDATE (as of 2 minutes later...) I found a Russian site with many remixes, including GY's! http://sonic-world.ru/files/downloads/music/Remixes/
  3. Always part of my play summer-night-time-noodle-(and sometimes dumplings)-shop-jaunt list.
  4. It's a happy/upbeat bix from Mazedude! Not that he doesn't make them, but I certainly like it when he does.
  5. Funky church confessional? It's the organs, man. This is less Barry-White Get it On than up so late it's early, just about to watch the sun rise. Actually, I've done that to this song. Fits perfectly.
  6. More artists filling out the soundscape pioneered here by the likes of Morse and posu yan? Never a bad thing. For every face-melting rock ballad or energizing electronic jam, I do love me a laid-back, funkajazztastic tune like this. Great work!
  7. This is why i love ocremix, for exposing me to new sounds... I looked up what a chapman stick was...and then I found this song called One Cloud.... and then I read in the comments someone citing some similarities to someone named Michael Hedges... ..and then I listened to Michael Hedges. It's been a rough day. Thankyou, OCR
  8. Always loved me some Pro'tage, I wonder whether he's still doing mixes these days?
  9. Holy shizz the Man Yuzo K hisself complimented you. Nice. Work. Indeed. Groove on!
  10. This has never left my playmix since it first went up. This is the mix I run up the stairs too when I'm all like, "Man, $!#?! the elevator". Another great mix from someone we never heard from again!
  11. Another "hit and run" mix - wherefore art thou, Polar, lol? Great stuff, relaxing and comforting, like the audial equivalent of hot coco or a nap. Or both.
  12. I love mixes in this vein. What that vein is, I can't really pin down, but they've got that soft, meandering, low-beat-in-the-background vibe to them. The kind of music you put for reflection during rainy walks at night in the City...which is what the Mixer seems like he was aiming for, so good work, man. Beautiful, hope to hear more soon!
  13. The Jackrabbit soundtracks were some of my first ever game music downloads...back in the days when those things were IMPOSSIBLE to find online (except in not-that-great MIDI format). You either ripped it yourself or...well, you ripped it yourself. //endrant-about-young-whipper-snappers-havingiteasy-with-their-cockamaney-you-tube-a-maphones... Great song, hope to definitely hear more from this fellow.
  14. Had to comment again; - why has there been nothing new from about:blank? : I It's a crying shame this is the only work of his I'm aware of!
  15. I can only belatedly echo previous posters when I say- smoov, smoov stuff. These downtempo chill (but not *too* chilly, there's some warmth to those vibes!) are absolutely perfect for unwinding at day's end. You know, under the moonlight and such.
  16. Man, two rockin' mixes in a row makes me happy. I'm totally psyched for summer's return. WillRock can take all the time he wants on his way before he branches out, while putting out his anything-but-standard fare, although...an Abor-Rock mix sounds pretty awesome.
  17. It's smoov like butter, but gotta that tangy funky kick of wasabi mixed in.
  18. I am a huge fan of Morse's funky fantastic and fabulously fresh, fun, free fusions!! When Sonata of the Damned got referenced I immediately went and torrented it, since I missed it the first time around. Ditto for Robo Museum. As I think I've read somewhere, Morse is "on a mission to prove that not all jazz is "elevator music," not all video game music is "bleeps and bloops," (fr the Heroes vs Villains homepage bio blurb) and he succeeds at this wonderfully. His work will always have a place on my summertime playlist. ALWAYS.
  19. It's raining outside. It's raining inside this song, too. This is a good song.
  20. Did you know that AmIEvil was one of the site's most prolifically posted Mixers in its early years? He produced 19 mixes in the span of 3 years! And they're all good to my ears
  21. I've always like MIDI tunes, though I understand they're not up to par when it comes to the site's quality standards. I heard this for the first time today on rainwave, and here I thought I'd heard everything from the site's early days! I like it.
