  1. That guitar..it is of such stuff that legendary journeys and epic adventures are made of!
  2. This is one groov-a-licious track..I love upbeat ambient stuff like this, totally jazzed (haha!) to hear Brandon's influence.
  3. It's hard to go wrong remixing such a timeless (ha, ha!) theme -- but the restraint the mixer showed in avoiding over-embellishment really helps this one stand apart (if not stand out): this almost seems (imho) like an enhancement as opposed to a remix but there's no judgement in that statement - however you look at it (or listen to it), it's really good by any measure.
  4. Has a special poignancy in the aftermath of Sandy (I'm fr Brooklyn and thankfully currently in one of the areas of Queens not-so-hard hit by the Hurricane). Great mix. It's got that perfect combination of mellow-chill beats that's reassuring and reflective.
  5. Here to ask for mixes from: Space Quest Leisure Suit Larry (one mix isn't enough for a 7-game series!) Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness (imho, Aubrey Hodges made some incredibly immersive, spooky, and compelling music for this Lovecraftian point n' click adventure) The Legend of Kyrandia series (the tracks from the first two games are pretty memorable imho, I still listen to Ryan8bit's mix) Baldur's Gate (seriously, why is there ONLY @$#!?! mix from this game :() Planescape: Torment (see previous parenthetical comment times 1,000,000) Summoner (This underrated game from THQ released 12 years ago: )Simcity 3000 or Simcity 4 (The stuff Jerry Martin and The Humble Brothers created is just perfect for traveling around NYC at night imho)
  6. It's only sounded better in every iteration you've posted! This is one of my favorite tracks along with the Hong Kong BGM from that game. With every improvement you've made it's coming closer to passing muster.
  7. Congrats, LulzA! This is great change of pace to listen to, although I can't wait her next piece of guitar wailing badassery, it's refreshing and one of the mixes I listen to most from that album (the other is Slumber on a City Corner). Only thing I found just a tiny bit jarring was the ending - I almost though the file had downloaded properly.
  8. Focusing on this chill transcendental quality mix will enable all aspiring acolytes of the martial arts to realize their Ken.
  9. I like how this has a great, energetic vibe to it, yet is relaxing and laid-back simultaneously too. Lovely mix...I could never remember the title mix when I was looking to d/l it again just tho' hehe.
  10. Ahhh! Another one-mix mystery! So sad how this site is full of these : ( If this we were re-upped today, would it get a pass? I'd hope so. Love the ambient setup.
  11. As of 9/13/12, the YouTube version cuts off around 2:29 abruptly...it continues playing but no sound. (really awesome song though) edit: nevermind, could be that it's meant to loop
  12. Midee's Tactile Freefall and prozax's Clamato Fever have heavy rotation on my playlists..so Their Powers Combined makes for an awesome remix! Love Satriani's jamming, and the duo channeled his style perfectly. Great mix!
  13. Has this Remixer's remixing career bitten the dust, or will it return from the grave? What a horrible night for a curse of the one-remix-remixer!
  14. Doesn't show its age at all, except in the best possible way, heralding the quality and complexity of later mixes. Ahead of the game indeed, this mix always brightens my mood, and manages to remain engaging and uplifting all these years later.
  15. Bobby is right, calling the mix 'sexy' or some derivative thereof just isn't sufficiently describing just how smooth and relaxing this tune is, but I was being a bit lazy there. Kudos to his follow-up, which is more along the lines of how I normally comment, channeling the weather and moods certain songs evoke.
  16. I get the sense of rising over vast and ancient ruins in the desert, and then steeply descending through miles of labyrinthine tunnels, speeding along, and then up and out again to face the starry night sky. Very cool stuff!
  17. Ah, WillRock, always taking me on a first-class trip back to my childhood and the Golden Days of Yore! Neither familiar with the source tune or game, but I love WR and his mixes, so it's an insta-download.
  18. I feel there's always room for more mixes. It's only when mixes start to sound samey that the "retreading old ground" really feels unnecessary, and that's on the mixer, not the source. This was a gentle, relaxing and contemplative piece.
  19. This makes for such productive back-ground work music, and I mean that in the best possible way. It just makes everything...flow better.
