  1. I got my bod pod reading on saturday, and I am at 177.5lb and 11.2% BF. Going to pick up my cut a little bit, since i'm behind schedule, but during it, I put on some lean mass and hit PR's in every lift, so I think I miscalculated my TDEE and was more at maintenance rather than a deficit. The plan from here is trim 200 calories off my daily intake and start doing cardio, so that should get me moving again! Soul Splint, what was your weight at for 7ish %? Did you find yourself losing much strength?
  2. still playing, seeing how far I can move up the ranks, I am starting to grasp a lot of the second level mechanics and such, and I think my card evaluation overall is getting way better. It takes way less time for me to pick cards in the arena now. Mike, what is your user name?
  3. Soul Splint: epic numbers, man! I am getting a bod pod reading saturday morning, and I am pretty sure I am more along the lines of actually 11%, but i'll post results when I get them. Argle: There are a bunch of really good physical therapy exercises that work mainly the stabilization muscles that would be good for warmups. I do you you can get back to doing other exercises, but it'll take some time. Glad that the problem is not super serious, at least not that you know yet.
  4. son, I have been punched with music! It's an honor to be a part of this esteemed group, and I can't wait to unleash our talents onto the world.
  5. You are grandfathered in, but yeah, look at that accuracy, folks! NAILED IT!
  6. Just finished listening, really nice work! Beautiful vocals and some incredible soundscapes. I am 'diving' into my second listen now!
  7. Finally a break, I am glad we managed to move this initiative forward, I was beyond burnt out. I will sleep well knowing that my hard work is being replaced with such gold as: "Marcus Aurelius had a dream that was Rome. This is NOT it. While the beats are proud and some of the arrangement ideas are sweet, overall I was left feeling empty, alone, and meek. I think what this really comes down to is a problem of WAY too much masterfeces - when mixing & mastering ambient, you REALLY need to dial that back a bit. If I had attempted this type of track, I personally would have philosophically produced some downright aromatic jams. I guess I'm just tired of hearing ReMixes of the Kraid theme that don't have chorus. You might be able to get mix like this past a softy like Chimpazilla, but I've got higher standards. we will we will NO u NO" I think you may want to dial back the hardcore settings a little in the Judgenator control panel, as my song I subbed was super good, but it's a learning process.
  8. S-Tier baller right here, folks! Thanks for your support, nordlys, good on you for sharing with your friends too!
  9. 9 months to reach the panel, then probably another 2 months for a decision, unless it's really decisive either way. Your stuff sounds pretty good overall; some of the guitar lead sequencing could stand to be humanized a bit, but there were some cool solos and arrangement vamps added in. It'll definitely get on the panel.
  10. ok, picked it up again and am ready to battle! OceansAndrew#1113
  11. that seems epic bad, shoulder injuries are even scarier to me than lower back ones.
  12. I think the bass and lead writing are fine and synergize well, but the disconnect is that the bass has an immediate attack, and the strings do not. The makes them sound really sloppy together. The bass sounds good, but is way too hyped compared to everything else and should probably come down. The drums are pretty auto-piloted as well, and could stand to have a lot more variation added. The violin lead has a lot of care added to the sequencing, but still seems to fall a little short. Maybe double it up with a piano or something to mask it a bit. Overall some decent ideas, but it needs polish. No, please resubmit
  13. Production overall sounded fine to me, but the arrangement was lacking for me in a lot of ways. Melodically there isn't much beyond the original midi, and a lot of it feels like copy-pastes. PThe feel is really nice, but there isn't enough addition to the track, and it feels like a simple genre-shift. No
  14. I like the arrangement idea overall, but I do think the mixing is a bit rough and crowded, and while i thought the string bed was fine in it's role, the flute was not cutting it. I recommend either upgrading the sample, or finding a different instrument. It did feel weird to me that most of the song was chippy, and only for a small period of time was the more 'organic' elements. I'd recommend either going chip for the duration, or add in more other instruments throughout to keep a cohesive sound. Definitely feel that this has promise, but it needs more polish. I hope you revisit it, there were some great ideas in here! No, please resubmit
  15. Listening to the new version, it's still a bit over-compressed; the kick feels really weak and flabby. I do like that the tones are apparent the entire time, but the lack of punch in the percussion is somewhat problematic. The arrangement is really good, however. The drums also are changed up later in the track and sound a lot better. May just be a volume increase, as the tone remains the same. Overall the production is about on the line for me, but the sweet arrangement brings it up. Nice work! Yes
  16. I think the kick is too loud, and the lead instruments aren't pulling their weight at all. Interesting to me that the kick sounds so well produced and everything else sounds weak and bland. There are a decent amount of ideas added to this, but the 4 on the floor is actually driven through the floor, and the rhythmic changes are drowned out by the overly dominant kick. I do like that some effort was made to mix the beat up, but I think it should be taken a bit further. The arrangement itself needs a lot more interest, as the individual sections feel cut and pasted to me. There are some micro changes throughout, but they arent especially compelling, and the repetition really bogs it down. I think there is a foundation here, but it will need more polish and attention to detail. No
  17. I definitely don't want the ear pain back. This is much better, and is sounding a lot more source-dominant, which is good. The ending was abrupt, but otherwise it was creative. I'm ok with the revisions. Yes
  18. nah bro, the rest of us have a pool going to see who gets to snuff you. It'll probably be Will.
  19. move me by bardic and maxfrost please!
  20. yeah, looks like everyone on the map from previous has been moved a few hundred miles north. Willrock is chillin in his houseboat out in the ocean now.
  21. A touch more reverb on the mallets would have been icing, but overall this is super classy. I love the bass work especially. Very nice work!
  22. shiiit, i didnt know you were such a thug! straight outta Compton! OG reppin'
