  1. Actually it doesn't fade in, it's almost instant from what I've heard. When the harmonics fade in is related to the wah position from what i can hear. I don't think he has the pickup in harmonic mode.
  2. I think that would detract from the Bond style hes going for here.
  3. I'm really not sure you know which track we're on about here, because racing chocobos has absolutely no themes from the actual chocobo theme at all, they're unrelated musically. One is definately not a spinoff of the other . I may have forced the chocobo theme into my mix for one or two lines, but I really had to wrangle with it to make it work because they're different.
  4. The racing chocobos theme isn't the same as the chocobo theme BGC .
  5. I am the brave! But yeah, I can see why it would get annoying after a while. It's only a short source, so its easy to find yourself repeating parts lots.
  6. Sounds like a sustainer pickup to me. He probably has it on very high output, with a wah, and everytime he presses forward on the wah, it encourages feedback to make harmonics. For all we know he's probably recorded this about a metre away from his amp, so it could be as simple as shoving it close up every so often.
  7. Bump Not long before the deadline left. I'll be submitting tomorrow probably.
  8. I know the feeling, when your determined to do something by yourself. Guitar is one of the hardest things to make sound human though, so good luck. After the compo if you do want guitars for it though I'd be happy to collab.
  9. I'm very close to cracking now. This is just beyond controllable. I see a new spambot every time i switch forum section.
  10. Despite the fact I'm supposed to be in competition with you for this FF7 dealy, I'm very tempted to offer you some live guitar parts for this, because it seems to be everyone's major annoyance, and it could be very cool with a live track, if you're interested that is. You need to say pretty quickly though, deadline is in a few days.
  11. Just these three awesome things: JBL Ceature II speakers (bass ftw) A Geforce 7600GS gfx card An electric mandolin (called mandamalin) Fun fun.
  12. Yeah, Blizzard take far too long. They're too busy counting how much money they're raking in from WoW to bother making Diablo 3, and more importantly Warcraft 4.
  13. Me and my mate had a field day with that mod. We set up an lan and just went crazy. We made a whole bunch of stupid crap. My favourite creation was a make shift flying mahince i made. It was a plank of wood with balloons attached all round the edges. I slapped on a few very low energy thrusters for turning and height adjustment. That was scary as hell when i right at the top, but it was pretty stable. Course i forgot the fact that my friend could just shoot the balloons out... I died...
  14. Good tidings we bring for the mods and admin we wish you a merry christmas and a happy +1
  15. It depends on the game and servers normally. On most FPS I play I change servers when I come across people like that in a large quantity and you can almost always find a server with decent players that will communicate in a productive manner. In general though those type of players exist in every online game. I get people like that on Tactical Ops all the time. Here's the procedure: 1. Ignore 2. If they continue, vote them out. 3. If they still continue, TK them and join a different server. Whiny gamers are so annoying because they have nothing to whine about, so at least if you try and annoy them they have something to go on. They're just sour because they suck at the game, or they take it way too seriously.
  16. Hey Doulifée? I was wondering if you could make a square version of my sig, I need it for the Summoninig Of Spirits mixers page. It's probably too wide, so if you have to, try and make it so half the picture is the fish's face, and the other half is the sea. That would be awesome .
  17. On the one hand, people are slowing down to look at the ladies. On the other, people are looking at the bandits and ignoring the road. Sooooooo, overall it evens out, and the streets are more interesting. Good ol' Denmark.
  18. We have a thread for just about every console, wheres the PC love? This thread is for discussing new or pending releases for the PC or about whichever games you own/enjoy/play online or to find a gaming bud for those games. Although I play a lot already, I'm getting an actual graphics card (omg) in place of my awesome integrated graphics for christmas which means i can actually play some cool lookin' games now . I've had UT2k4, COD2, Guild Wars and a bunch of others just sitting around going unplayed. For shame. I was wondering if anyone plays any of the Battlefield series, because I've heard good things, but I've never played it myself, and I'm considering investing.
  19. According to their profiles, all the mods except Smoke are from the US, Smoke being from the netherlands. Me being from the UK, it's fair to say that pretty much all the mods cept smoke will be asleep in the morning, so maybe there is something to be said for adding perhaps one or two more mods from different time zones just so that there is a bigger chance of being able to contact a mod at any given time? Spam bots aside, that would be a desirable thing to have anyway.
  20. This is absolutely insane. Why are there suddenly so many today? Are we gonna have to introduce some sort of screening process for accounts so that we can check they aren't spam bots or something?
  21. Uh... yeah it's been taken to far hasn't it... Just use whatever you like...
  22. I'm playing on an *actual* gameboy this time, no roms for me, so I can't give you pix. I was catching an eggsecute and i couldn't find any (wtf?), then along came this random pinsir. I threw a ball for laughs and caught it, I didn't even want it until I got it.
  23. Merry christmas and stuff. On a slightly-related topic, I got me a pinsir the other day, sweet.
  24. One that took me half an hour to eat, so worth it: - take two slices of granery bread - butter one side, homous on the other - put some chedders on one side, some mozerella on the other - lots of lettuce and whatever salad type things you like - grill up some falafels and cut em up into the sandwhich - put in some yummy chilli oil soaked olives for funsies - eat - enjoy Works with a nice toasted pitta bread aswell.
  25. To further Hemos point, the leading note must rise. Say in C you do a V - I. The 3rd of the V is a B, which must rise to a C. With a V7 however, you also have an F. This gives you much more freedom with resolutions. It can go up to a G, or down to an E. If the F goes to an E, then your D is free to move down to the C. This gives you the ability to sneakily lower your leading note B, down to a G. As long as you don't add in a passing note to make it obvious the leading note has really fallen, it means that you've added in a new voice that might have had to have been doubled, and a 3 part chord is never as strong as a 4 part one. Sometimes you don't get that option with a V. The V7 has the capability to be much more resolute, but you have to use proper harmony rules in each part to make sure it fits properly, otherwise it can be a very weak cadence. God damn four part harmony, it can be so meticulous.
